    Another great long-term spread is a packing list. You could have a list for local trips, and another column for anything additional you'd need for an abroad trip.

      That is quite handy. I personally have that one on my phone. 1 Master List with everything I could need. And I then copy the list into a new note and adapt it for every trip and give it a title (2week beach etc) and now I have a huge file of packing lists for most occasions ready!

    I know this is def a yearly collection and not a long term one but the songs I love spread made me think of it. In my reflection for every month I record all the songs that got stuck in my head over the month and that's my monthly playlist then at the end of the year on Spotify I make a yearly bujo playlist and it's a collection of all the things that got stuck in my head so it's a good representation of where my head (and low-key the tiktoks I was consuming) throughout the year. I just started it in September of this year so this year's was short but I love having that playlist.

    On the apocalist you could just put an x in the box instead of blacking out the box for items you’re no longer interested in, and if you do end up doing it, just black out the box over the x like it was never there.

    I always love and learn from your videos. Thanks for all your hard work. I wonder if you might consider a video on planning verses journaling after the fact. My biggest struggle with my bullet journal is "being precious" with it, wanting it to look nice, but needing it to work out things in my messy mind. I get frustrated with lists of tasks that didn't get completed, but I find making the lists much more helpful than a Ta-Da list (although those are nicely affirming). When I plan beautiful spreads to fill in later, my spacing is off. And, I always struggle with estimating how long things take and what my energy levels will be like when I plan ahead, so my plans are hopelessly inaccurate. Yet, because I plan, I am highly productive. See the quandary? Just a video idea that would really help me. You are so gifted at conceptualizing things. Thanks!

    • @misriya4147
      @misriya4147 5 місяців тому

      I find that making spreads sometimes actually hinders the planning process. Sometimes we need to let go of the pretty things? You can keep.your daily use planner more functional, and have another planner which you can fill.up.woth pretty spreads, such as a memory journal or a long term collections journal

    I was testing a few lists out, so I have a mix of long-term and annual collections into a journal that I've been slowly filling up over the past couple year. I definitely want to separate them at some point, especially to have some reference pages that I couldn't handle digitally in Notion, but I'm just going to see how the current spreads work.

    Hi Jess, I apologize in advance for this silly question! :) When creating a long-term journal, what would one do if they want to add something AFTER they have created categories? For example, in your "BUJO" layout (where you keep track of how you want to start your BUJOs) - let's say you wanted to add something under "Trackers". If you don't have the space, how do you handle it?
    I realize I overthink things. LOL :) Thanks for always having inspiring videos!

    • @JashiiCorrin
      @JashiiCorrin  3 місяці тому +1

      I tend to do a heeeap of brainstorming before committing the list to pen in my LTC, but depending on the layout, I’ll sometimes leave extra space on the page to add more ideas, either in individual sections on in an “other / later thoughts” space 👌 if I end up having LOTS of bonus ideas after the fact, I might end up making a “part 2” page or just a tip-in to hold them on the same layout 😄

    I’m a bit confused! I totally see the sense in having these long term collections separate, but for yearly journalling, am I meant to have a long term collections AND a book for things like 24 in 24 and letter to myself etc, AND like a “normal” journal for monthly and weekly stuff?? Just don’t want to do it wrong but I also don’t want to get overwhelmed…

    • @JashiiCorrin
      @JashiiCorrin  5 місяців тому

      “Meant to” isn’t the way I like to think about it, just as the number of notebooks you use is a personal choice and should take into consideration what it going to work best for you 👌 a lot of people find success with having everything in one notebook, but I personally like to have things split 😄
      Previously I’ve just used a long-term collections journal (like this one) and an everyday journal where I’d also put those year-long collections like the 24 in 24, etc. When I set up my next everyday journal at the mid-year point, I’d just re-set up those yearly collections.
      Nowadays I like to have yearly collections and everyday journal layouts separate because I found myself going through three everyday journals in a year; that’s a lot of collection transferring if it weren’t for my yearly collections journal!
