The biggest reason I love your bullet journal videos is because they are constantly evolving based on your own use and you explain why you're doing something and state the real time it took you. I also love that you state what doesn't go according to plan - because even with sketching mistakes happen and ways you can fix certain mistakes.
Glad that those are parts you value! 💜 I know that I'm often surprised by how long things ~actually~ take, so I like to share that kind of thing when I can 😊
I've never seen anyone plan this way, and I'm so interested to see how it works for you. I don't know if I can wrap my brain around it for my personal planning, but I love seeing the different systems that work for different people.
It'll be fun to try something new, yeah 😄 very much know that it won't necessarily work for everyone, but I'm glad to hear that even if people don't think it will work for them, they're still interested to see it! 💜
I started this method as well since my life revolves around budgeting and thats fortnightly in our house. I say biweekly too since American but tbh it confuses me too lol
What I love the most about bullet journaling is how customizable spreads can be, and I've never seen someone going that creative and thinking out of the box. Thank you. You are inspiring ❤
I seriously love the idea of a four week cycle versus following the month because nothing throws me off more than my week and monthly scheduled things (work, resets, days off) being thrown off cause the month ends halfway through the week
When you’re someone who liked to do monthly resets 1. Before the new month starts, 2. On a Sunday, and 3. The month ends on a Saturday 👀 ooof, hate that for me 😂 this will work much better!
I think this video is the video that has converted me to "cyclic" planning. I think if anything planning this way and planning fortnightly will give me the opportunity to reflect on how the "cycle" is going... I think I'm going to keep my weekly spreads though. And have cyclic themes instead of monthly.
Nice! 😄 Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing how the cycle change-over period is in particular, 'cause it will come a little before the end of the month essentially every month 👀💜 should be good!
At work we use an "accounting calendar" which splits the year in periods based on weeks (P1, P2 ...P12), the only issue i have with it is that some periods have 3 weeks, while others have 5 or 6 (supposedly reflecting the needs of the business, eye-roll). However i absolutely see the potential of using a 4 week period for planning like this. I even get the fortnight planning, can't wait to see it put in use. Also how freaking exciting is it to finally see a different take in bullet journaling? 😍
I like how simple this theme is! Also very curious of how this planning system will work in practice, so definitely looking forward to a more detailed video of how you use it. :)
Oh finally, the video is here :) I just wondered how you would set it up and it's amazing how every person can interpret it differently. I'm making mine parallel to yours and structured it different. My setup is like this: Q4 Dashboard start 4 december - 29 february(1page) - Overview 3 Months, with calendar stamps for events, goals and a todo list (2p.) - Memories (1p.) - December Dashboard (1p.) - Dezember Overview, calender stamps, huge goals, to do, notes (2p.) - Double: -2 weekly table layout (1p.) - 2 weekly layout todo's (1p.) - Maybe a review page. Different Setup, so I will see how it will work so far.
@@JashiiCorrin Thank you :) I have a question for the 2-weekly preview. When do you start preparing the next 2-weeks? At the end of the actual 2-weekly-layout or after the first week, so that you always have a 2 week calendar? I'm struggling with this situation right now.
@@Weissklangi I was thinking about this, yeah 🤔 I was thinking it'd be good to at least have the weekly boxes for the first week of the next fortnight set up before I get there, so I'm thinking I ~might~ set up the second fortnight after the first week of January. Just so I have those spaces there to jot things down now that I don't have monthly log! 😊
I am so excited for this style of planning! It's so non-conventional, which is pretty much how my life is moving forward. Thank you, @JashiiCorrin for being right on time for Future Me 😊 And to think, it all started with your first office makeover video that I came across earlier this year 💜
Most welcome! 😄 I'm excited for the new style and sharing how it works out 💪 It's nice to have a clearer picture of how I want to be planning; at this time last year I was stressing about trying to find the "perfect" weekly log for the new year 😝
This sounds like a super interesting system! I’m working on adjusting my own goals into seasonal time, so I like seeing other people try out new things too. Here’s hoping the new systems work out (or at least give us new insights along the way)
I'm doing cyclic too (kinda). I have the months calendar so I can see everything at a glance, but everything else is just 2 week dashboards because each two weeks cover 1 paycheck from work. And I'm starting a 15 minute check of my planner every Friday just to make sure I'm noting what I need to do the following cycle.
I also decided to put all of my ‘monthly’ pages on my weekly’s instead. I was tired of it taking so and having so many pages to flip to. Now I have everything I need for a week on one page.
Its looking great! Looking forward to seeing how you feel about it at the end of the fortnight. I'm not ready to my January (weeks 1-4) yet I'm thinking I'll probably be ready about February!! 🤣
Thanks! 💜 yeah I'm eager to give this a proper test run and see how I feel about it when I'm ~actually~ using it 😛 Haha totally feel you on not really being ready for Jan! I certainly won't be populating any of these layouts until Dec 31st 😝
Yes! This is what i've been looking forward to since i watched your video about changing how you plan! It'll be a little difficult moving into a smaller size, but i think i can make this work!
Yay! 🥳 Yeah I'd be curious to see how I'd go about doing this in an A5 or whatnot 🤔 I'll likely be using an A5 for the second half of 2024 so that's something to look forward to 😝💜
That is a beautiful spread. I’m starting to see your vision w/fortnight or in the US no-weekly or every two week planning. I’m going to really give it some thought and watch to see how it works for you and if you like. Love the use of craft paper!
this is such an interesting idea! i already saw your other video explaining it but it’s so interesting to see it in practice. also it’s so SATISFYING 😍 also i love the colour palette you’ve chosen!
I was inspired by your yearly reset videos and managed to setup my first normal bullet journal not too long ago :3 I wanted it to be astrology themed (something nice but easy that doesn't discourage me by the time 2024 starts) but in the end it was just whatever-vibe-it-will have lol. I still have to figure out if I want to keep my reading tracker in it because I will start reading next year again. I don't want to go too harsh on myself and go back to my former reading pace, but also I'm incredibly happy about the result of the book club's next reading (long story short: the author is from my country so I can borrow the book from the local library hopefully) and also have more inspiration to read some non-fictions, so I'm not sure if all that reading will fit my bujo rn xD I mainly added mental health and leisure time stuff into my setup because I tried daily/weekly/monthly logging and it never worked because I'm in my gap year and don't really have any events and tasks lol. But also (and sorry for my rambling) I watched your daily logging video and I want to try it again the way you did it. Hopefully 2024 will be THE year.
I thought about doing what you're referring to as cycles and went back to watch the other video and all the things. I even had it drawn out. I was calling them quads but I couldn't wrap my head around ditching the month just yet. So I'm doing the 2 week planning but with the monthly calendars
@@JashiiCorrin I have a feeling hat by the end of the year I'll be on the same system you are. I've been trying to for years to come up with something that doesn't suck as hard as the 12 month calendar.
These layouts with the 14 are soo satisfying! I hope this system works great for you :) I used to do two weeks in one spread but I got bored of it , but I just put them on one page and had a braindump or to do list on the other page, but the layout was too boring for me i think. Now I feel like I need to try it again but prettier :D hehe

But I've been so excited for this because I have shared your views on the arbitrary nature of months and am using your new setup! I wondered if you were going to set up cover page blocks by fortnight (a term this American is now adopting!), by cycle, or by quarter. I'm debating between cycle and quarter myself...
Yeah I wasn't too sure how I was going to tackle it until I essentially did 😝 I figured that having cyclic cover pages would be an easier transition for me than just quarterly ones, but I specifically set up my start of journal pages to really only capture the quarter, rather that what I typically do which is capturing the number of months I think will be in the journal 💪
I can't find your new habits video :( it seems like a very good way to actually DO my habits so I would love to see you explain and show your new habit system! Where can I find it?
