Great saw. Im very happy I bought one and saved a lot of money cutting limbs that were too high and thick for me to get to otherwise
I'm also very happy with this saw, it's so simple to use and always gets the job done. Recently, I felled my second tree and while doing ground work limbing the tree, I got the bar on my EGO 14" chain saw pinched and couldn't remove. I used the Ryobi to free up the EGO and also used the Ryobi to cut the limbs from a distance - the branches had a lot of leaves and ants. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. Great take 😀👌, what do you get for battery life and how is it working so far?
Hi Rob, the battery lasted for the whole job including cleanup into small pieces. I only have one battery for my 2 Ryobi tools - the angle drill and this pole saw. So far no battery issues at all. When the juice runs out with this pole saw, it goes from working to done - no power. Then, I'll recharge the battery and do ground clean up. It recharges pretty quick, maybe around 35min- 45min. Then, if there is still more work needed, I'll check the oil and get back to work. I got another video where I'm using this Ryobi pole saw and the EGO Chainsaw on the same job. On that day, the Ryobi battery needed several recharge sessions. On a long day, I always schedule ground clean up, rest break or lunch in between recharge. Recharge time is not even an issue. This tool is holding up really well, nothing is broken or getting wear and tear. Checking the oil level is important, and the chain tension. Thanks for watching, hope this helps. Usually on a pole saw those small bars like that you want to run the chain kind of loose!

When I rotate the chain, I've kinda gotten used to how it feels when it's rotates and it does feel better when it's kind of loose - but not too loose. When I first started using the pole saw, I used to tighten it - too tight and feel like it's binding around the bar. My father in-law borrowed it one weekend and it felt like he tightened it tighter than how I tightened it. Good point for bringing up chain tension - it's important to have the chain properly tensioned. Thank you ABEL too MOW lawn care company very much appreciated info! Everyone check your chain tension! Add to a 4 cycle ryobi motor and you should have plenty longevity

Hi WiseSilverWolf! I got my safety gear at my local Ace Hardware Store - Kitz & Pfeil Fond du Lac, WI. It's made by Stihl. It fits me well and there is a sweat band that is part of the headgear. I'm glad it has the hearing protectors because my other friends have gas powered chain saws and they are loud. Thanks for checking out the video! Jake

Right on about that barnboski! There's a tree that fell over in my neighbors yard that has a bunch of wasp buzzing around it. Have to be careful with that clean up.
I’m using my saw the second time since I bought a week ago and the blade is not cutting for shit. Do blades dull that fast?
Hi Avenue, the chain doesn't dull that fast, I've had my same chain on my bar since I've got it. Look at your chain and make sure the chain is on in the correct direction. Look at it from the top and you'll notice that there is a slight angle to the chain bits. The pointy angle side should be pointed to the tip of the bar and not toward the machine end.There is also an arrow that shows the direction - it should point to the tip of the bar. Look for the arrow it's very tiny to see. Uploading a video for you now. Hope that explains it.

The amount of flex I'm seeing doesn't inspire confidence in longevity.
Yeah I know, I thought the same when I had all the pieces attached and then lifted it up and I see it's kinda flimsy. However, I've been using this thing a lot and the flex you're seeing and what I noticed is the poles are rigid and stiff - it's the attaching couplers that have a bit of play and movement. Maybe it's part of Ryobi's design. Anyway, I'm really happy with the tool, it's been really durable, reliable and easy to use.
My father in law wants to borrow the pole saw for a weekend, I wouldn't even think about the flex as anything suspect for failure and would gladly say to him, " have fun with it and make sure to always check the oil and chain tension." If he breaks it, I'll post a video of the damage. Thanks for checking out the video. Jake

Gilitar I have bought one and use a extra pole no problem if they made out of scaffold pole etc be far toooooooo heavy
If you only plan on cutting small 1/2” branches then this the tool . It says it can cut up to 6” it can. The longevity of the battery takes a hit though does not last a good workday of use unless you have plenty of batteries of the 18v laying around steer clear from this folks . It cuts great when fully charged but batteries do not last and for me at least that’s a no go will probably try a corded one
I thought about a corded one using a 100 AH battery from Walmart and a good inverter.
Lmao it will cut a 4-6" branches just fine. Not sure what you're talking about with the "1/2 branches"
I spent a couple hours today cutting branches up to around 6 or 8:inches with no problem. I used a 4Ah battery and it never slowed down.
@@mohaimenkazi9787 you must’ve not put it to the test like me it can cut them but battery life suffers greatly.

My 83yr old father in-law used it and he loved it. And, he's got a bad back. In the video I'm holding the pole saw over my head for a tall branch, and I had no problems. Not heavy at all. Thanks for watching and commenting.
