    Thank yuo so much for making this!
    I've got the exact same issue!
    You just saved me $100+ on buying a new one.

    Good job my friend. Helped me understand the inside of my new Ryobi pole saw. I liked the ending the best, LOL!

    Very smart solution to a problem likely to recur! Lots of videos here about replacing the inline fuse, but this is the only one I’ve seen about changing the fuse location for easier access- so thanks!

    I bought a broken one off eBay for 40 bucks. Had power to everything. Opened the saw up and had like palm tree wrapped up in little gear running the chain. Saved about 140 bucks for 15 minutes of testing.

    Thanks very much for the concise answer to the question of why my saw stopped running. Probably should have watched it before I bought the new battery.

    Was just trying to fix mine today but I couldn’t get that in-line fuse holder to fit. You didn’t actually show that part of your reassembly. Did you leave that hot wire long and stuff it back before the saw housing? Gotta try again tomorrow.

      I cut it some and stuffed it in to have room to pull it out and change it

      @@byrdlinekennelsbuilds7670 thanks for the reply! Btw: you mentioned needing a special fuse. The in-line fuse holder came with a 30amp fuse- any reason not to use that one?

      @@misterpatrick6126I was looking for a fuse that was the same as the stock fuse so I had to search for the same amperage

      @@byrdlinekennelsbuilds7670 hey- thanks again for the info. I think I’ve got it fugured out now, just gotta go get another fuse holder and finish up. I was going to buy the top tube assembly- they’re pretty cheap- but no one has them or knows when they will.

    Good video but how about just cut out the fuse and connect it direct. It isnot on AC so it is safe to cut it out and save the fuse money.

    Hi, which fuse did you end up using ?

      Mine didn't have a fuse. Just straight wire. Not sure what it could be have no way of testing for power.

    • @byrdlinekennelsbuilds7670
      @byrdlinekennelsbuilds7670  Рік тому

      Could be the motor itself. The fuse protects it so without the fuse it would short the motor. Straight wire the motor to a battery

      @@byrdlinekennelsbuilds7670 yes your right. Bad motor. Figured without the fuse it was the motor. Or I guess its a solenoid?. Anyways for 10 bucks I'm not complaining still have the battery's and a charger for something else🤷

      I wonder if you can get a replacement motor. I haven't trouble shot mine yet, figure the motor burned up, great video, thanks!
