- This is my user impressions and review on the new InfiRay Finder FH35R V2. I've had this device in real hunting usage conditions for a few months. It's an excellent little thermal scanner and well worth considering if your in the market for a device with an onboard laser rangefinder (LRF). This isn't a "how to" video with boring unboxing and basic menu function explanations. This is my handle on the FH35R V2 as a shooter, user and owner of the original Finder for two years.
If you would like a baseline I would encourage you to watch my review of the original Finder FH35R as there's a lot of crossover information I tried not to double up on.

Big thanks to Ben @ www.huntthenig... for sending me the FH35R V2 to play with. Without support from companies who are proactive in the hunting industry like this, these video's are mostly not possible with the speed tech is evolving.
If you're in the market to buy a InfiRay Finder FH35R V2 or any thermal for that matter in Australia. Chat with Ben. He generally has the best prices in Oz and sells all the well known and supported brands. If you use the below affiliate link it helps me a bunch. At no cost at all to you 👌

This scanner purchased by me on your recommendation from Hunt the Night has blown me away with its clarity & usability. Everyone I have shown has been amazed. Thanks Nathan. 👍👍
Great to hear!
*EDGE of the OUTBACK* Vey nice, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us. GOD Bless.
Thanks for the review, there's multiple thermals for sale now adays and great to see the actual pros and cons, rather than to listen to a boy accross the counter listing spec's...... We hunt with them during day time abit too. Way faster at picking up animals, than binos alone..Good work
Very tempting this. 640x512 for £1800 in the Uk. Great & honest review Nathan. Thankyou .
Hope you enjoy it!
Great review. Thank you.
Good review Nath and a giggle cheers Yogi ✌️🤙
Another awesome review which has pointed me in the right direction mate cheers again 👌🏻
No problem 👍
Love the videos keep killing it!
Your videos are awesome. This is one of your best. Life’s good. Best wishes
Cheers mate 👌
Awesome video's mate. I've been watching for a while and great work on thinning the feral animals
Thanks 👍
Ive got the FH35R V2 on test at the moment. Good little spotter 👍
Nice 👍
I've NEVER been interested in guns.....and here I am listening to the most technical overview of a scope. WTF is wrong with me? LOL
.........G'day,
I've always been interested, just been busy doing "other" things. I "want" an airgun. I had a BSA "break-barrel" when I was a kid 70 years ago.
Cheers,
Malcolm.
You are learning to be more awesome keep it up
Sounds like it’s time to go shopping
Great equipment ans ALWAYS enjoy your videos. I wish I had the money you guys do! Dang! That stuff is expensive! You have more money in gear out ON the hunt, than my first house cost!!
Yes it's rather ridiculous sometimes I must admit
@EDGEoftheOUTBACK I'm glad you get it, so I can "use" it through your lens. You are blessed.
Excellent video, greetings from the US.
Thanks and welcome
Nice Nath pretty handy bit of kit by the sounds of it a good honest review cheers
Thanks 👍
Hey Nathan. I just took my thermion xl50 for its first hunt. We saw 1 lone boar and hiked in on it but could never get a good shot as it was moving up a hill through scrub. I got to 85m away but it seemed to be onto us. Kept following it and were lead to a fox and 2 other pigs but couldn’t get a good shot on any of them and it’s because they all smelt us. Shows how Important getting the wind right is. Other than getting nothing I’m blown away by the things you can see that you normally wouldn’t. Hopefully we have better luck tonight.
Good gear definitely helps, but you can't forget the fundamentals 👌
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK i just finished my 2nd night with 3 good sized pigs In quick succession. Got it all on video too. With the wind wrong I couldn’t get within 80m with the wind right I got to 12m😂 couldn’t be happier and if it wasn’t for your videos I wouldn’t have gotten into it so cheers Nathan. Hope you got a bit back from hunt the night for my purchase.
Thank you for the review
No problem 👍
Good review mate. They sure are a good little unit. might need to look at getting a screen though. I hate the wifi in mine. The lag and picture quality make it almost unusable IMO.
Yeah even the icons are out of focus when WiFi'd as it's hugely degraded 😞
I’m going to invest in one of these thanks
My hikmicro condor is unbelievable! Comes down to price, warranty and support. Imo
Good
Good review thx man
undecided if i will upgrade to the v2
Coooool
The condor seems a better spotter 🤔
In the eyepiece, very little difference and personal choice. WiFi both poor now. But hardwired the Finder smokes the Condor on a screen.
Is the device model shown FH35R (no V2)in the device information and application?🤔
Yes it's the V2, as per the title and video description.
Hey, does anyone know what suction mount he is using at the 7:42 mark?
Ram mounts
No Picture in Picture?
I'm not sure TBH. Would be in the manual but personally I don't use that feature on a scanner.
R T F M ,, yeah who does that unless your really stuck
Exactly 😂
good talk Nathan, very interesting these thermals, used to go by eye shine lol technology ha ha i remember colour tv when it first was available didn't need a manual either lol.
