InfiRay Finder FH35R Thermal Scanner with LRF - User Review and Comparison

  • This is my user impressions and review on the new InfiRay Finder FH35R. I've had this device in real hunting usage conditions for around 25 hours so far. It's an excellent little thermal scanner and well worth considering if your in the market for a device with an inboard laser rangefinder (LRF). This isn't a "how to" video with boring unboxing and basic menu function explanations. This is my handle on the FH35R as a shooter and user.

What an excellent product review without any of the usual BS. I formerly used HIK top unit and lesser Pulsars until this latest Helion after listening and watching you and thus I completely concur with your Helion comments - it’s the best - but as you say - at a price. I have to say that if I wanted to get an informed and detailed review of my products in field use out there, I’d ask Nathan!

Excellent review mate, and just about the same conclusion I came to with this unit. I purchased my first ever thermal device at the British Shooting Show a few weeks ago, had my heart set on the FH25R after seeing all the rave reviews, until the guy on the InfiRay stand handed me the FH35R. What a machine, field of view and picture clarity is the best I've seen so far (not had chance to look through a Thermion yet!) and he did me a deal there and then cheaper than I expected to pay for the 25, result! He also mentioned that the microphone option should be made available in the near future with an upcoming firmware update, and possibly full detail view (ie. rangefinding distance) on recordings, fingers crossed! ;)

    • @MyChannel-b5f
      @MyChannel-b5f  2 роки тому +2

That's awesome you like it so much. I'm still really happy with mine. As for the microphone, I doubt an update can fix it. My information is that the mic is mounted internally and is the same as the Rico series. A firmware update can't fix a hardware issue unfortunately. But I'd be happy if they do it !!!

As usual I always find you videos excellent and informative.
Something that I would really like to see is how you actually juggle all the gear you have.
Do you use it all when seated on the quad? Do you scan first then hop off the quad and setup a stand to shoot from? Do you have separate stands for different situations? Do you walk along with all this stuff hanging around your neck? Is there really a god?
A video of you doing the business would be fantastic!
    Cheers Nathan. 😉👍

@@MyChannel-b5f yes. Half the time i am guessing distances and often in way out and miss my target. Because my thermal scope is mounted so high above the bore, knowing the distance to the target and imputing it into the scope or working out how much holdover ect would make life so much easier. Find it so hard using my pard 008LRF after so much time on the thermal scope. So I think the FH35R is the answer. 👍

I hunt of a quad also shotting rabbits and foxes mainly, can you tell me the make of your IPS screen and is that hard-wired also? does the InfiRay just need the HDMI cable going to the IPS screen and the USB C connection to a 12v power socket? Another great review in the real world Nathan. Its a real help when people are spending a lot of money. And quality is essential to ensure correct target identification and avoid mistakes.

I'm tossing up this versus the axion 2 XG35 LRF. Which one would you go for Nathan? cheers

      Consider the new V2 FH35R also 👍

Mate, as you have probably found, playing with any night vision is going down the rabbit hole. Thankfully you have allowed a dinosaur to have less time in the warren and more trigger time, cheers dig.

thanks for your work. Looking at my first thermal. Great review again. Had almost settled on the pulsar you reviewed with slightly lesser specs but now you got me thinking again.

I’d like to see the INFIRAY UNIQUE UH50 HAND HELD THERMAL IMAGING MONOCULAR equipped with LRF or our Helion coming out with one. I’m being encouraged as mentioned recently to get a Merger but I like to drive with one hand and scan with tother and from what you’ve said it’s really a two handed piece of kit. So I might just follow you again and get an FH35R

If it helps I did try a Infiray zoom ZH50 and it was fooking abysmal 😫

Hi Nathan love your work. Really cool. Have you ran your fh35r to a monitor via a hdmi? I have one my self and it doesn’t want to connect via hdmi. Just hoping its my monitor and nothing wrong with the thermal device. Love to hear your thoughts

Yes mate I run mine off HDMI all the time. Check your lead, they don't seem very robust IMO.
