    • @CoolBeanSquadron
      @CoolBeanSquadron 5 років тому +3

      roisin culler that’s what dreads are ... matted hair. White people can freeform to but most of us just don’t have the patience because it takes over a year and they still aren’t mature. The sections are random, I’ve seen some very thin ones.

    Thank you for sharing your wealth of information. You asked towards the end you'd hope people such as myself would learn something from this video--well, I did..patience! I'd like to believe I am in the shrinking stage, every time I wash my hair, i'm like okay lets see some growth...I don't see it in the locs, but as you stated, new growth shows healthy hair and that hair has to go somewhere so I'm hoping i'll see some results within some months..it just seems like my hair is not growing at all and its been months!
    I'll stop where I am, but again, it really is appreciated, the time and effort you spent to make this video come into fruition!

      i started my dreads from braids after an afro for a year!! it accelerates the free from dreads!! just whatever you do dont comb your hair when you undo your braids and let your hair fall normally after about a week you will see and be able to feel dreads (if you want to accelerate the dreads don't get your hair wet for a couple of days) :) good luck g

    so ur saying all i have to do is use the dr bronners i got once a week and dry my hair and my hair will dread itself?

      BASICALLY but you wanna boil 1.5 cups of water, add 1/4 cups of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar breaks down the soap residue. Use this after Bronners. Additionaly boil 1.5 cups of water then add 2 tbsp of baking soda. Use this every other shampoo, rinse with apple cider vinegar.

    Je confirme, ayant des cheveux caucasiens il faut une certaine longueur de cheveux pour qu'ils puissent se "dreader". Donc patience. Après ils s'emmêlent tout seuls, juste les laver comme d'habitude (moi je les lave 1X/ semaine avec un shampoing aux plantes).
    Merci pour tes vidéos

    Dude, I've been growing my hair for roughly 18months now, it's about shoulder length.
    I wash it once a week and stopped brushing about 4 weeks ago cause it started getting painful and was ripping so much hair out.
    Guess I'll continue with this routine and go for the free formed dreads.🤙🏼

    For 4c hair it’s better to lock while it’s shorter, also, we aren’t even supposed to wash our natural 4c hair once a week. It’s supposed to be once every two weeks. This video should be titled “how to get freeform dreadlocks for straight - curly hair textures” because the things you’re saying are mostly directed toward those groups
