“The floor is a complete mess. Eat this over a plate, or the sink.” I know I’ve said it before, but this is another example of why the Sandwiches of History tarp would make fantastic merch.
Thank you for this! I was an exchange student to Argentina over 30 years ago. The first thing I ate after my host family picked me up from the airport was a lomito completo - at a little gas station cafe. It was amazing, and I miss them so much. My attempts to order a lomito at Argentinian restaurants here in the US have been disappointing. I do think the bread is very important - and it's usually toasted. I don't recall ever having a lomito in Argentina with chimichurri on it, but I did see a youtube tutorial ages ago that incorporated some kind of red pepper sauce into the mayo. I guess I'll have to experiment on my own a bit, but I really appreciate this tutorial to get me started! i
Toasting the inside surface of the bread in the pan with butter will give you that lovely toasted flavor and warm up the bread (better tasting when warm imo) but still keeps the inside fluffy! Strongly recommend :)
We've got a couple of episodes to catch up on but I always love the ones where you go all out like this. You did this sandwich proud, editing be damned!
With all the research you did to find a recipe you were happy with, and going to the effort of baking your own bread, this video really highlights your dedication to the channel.🫡
Had some extra troubles with this episode, huh Barry? 😂 That really does look delicious though, especially that bread. Definitely gotta make this one for myself.
First off, thank you. Second off, I do want to make that but I'd be the only eating it! May when we host Thanksgiving and there are more mouths to feed.
I know I'm late to the party but this is my favorite video so far. The sandwich looks great and all the editorial commentary pushes it over the top! Now I'm going to make some pan de lomito!
Hello, you did get the recipe well, let me add some advices: *The mayonnaise is right, but better if is it is homemade, with a bit of garlic *never will someone add chimichurri to the Lomito, it is a fast food not an BBQ sandwich *toasting the bread blends everything together and makes the sandwich more hearty.
For my pallet I’d have to put some salsa on this, just a tiny little bit. Maybe even some chili without beans in place of the salsa. However the sandwich looks amazing as is. Argentina knows their sandwiches.
Oh God, NOOOOO! Blasphemy! You wouldn't find salsa or chili in Argentina much less anywhere near a lomito. I shudder at the thought! Best I can do for you is a little Chimichurri. Lol

😂...🤔
I love how you "Photoshopped" in the fried egg for the final "Ahhh!" scene. Too funny!
The moment I heard Argentina, I knew it'd be a banger.
Oh my god this sandwich looks DIVINE. I am STARVING now.
Congratulations on 23k, should be 700k+ in my opinion.
Thanks, man. I appreciate that.

It's dripping with flavor! Steak, ham, cheese, and egg... You really can't go wrong.

Thanks so much! 😊
you struggled with this video lol. these are some of the most fun ones though, thanks for sticking with it!

One of the best episodes so far, keep it up!
I am drooling! Yummy!
You should do a smörgåstårta (sandwich cake). It's a staple here in Sweden, and a very interesting take on a sandwich :) Love your vids!

Where has this channel been all my life lol. Love all you're video's.
Thank you so much!
I totally agree with rating and plus up. I like making chimichurri with lots of home-grown oregano and some parsley.

I'd love to see a 'Hall of Fame' that includes links to all 10s!
Looks awesome!
Oh this video was highly entertaining.😂
What with the meat cheese mayo and egg I'd imagine the chimichurri helped cut thru all the richness.Kudos for making your own bread!

You should try making Heavy's Sandvich
Its very historically important
Nice Eggs at the last shot Barry :D
What can I say, I've got mad Photoshop skillz. Lol
Enjoying your videos, as always. But I think you meant you were ‘cobbling’ this together, rather than ‘hobbling’! 🤓
HOW DO YOU COOK THE BEEF?
YOU KNOW THAT PART IN THE VIDEO WHERE I PUT THE BEEF IN A HOT CAST IRON SKILLET? THAT'S HOW.
Is this guy Brian Posehn's brother?
I'll take that compliment. But, no.
Barry, whats with your live golf anonnoucer shuushhy quiet voice over? Lmao
Marge Simpson - "Just make sure your father eats all his meals over a tarp. But not the good tarp." lol
The "Chicago stance" may have been applicable here
that was a bit of work
omnomnom
okay
Bife de lomo is ribeye, not sirloin. More tender, fatty, than sirloin.
"as rich as an Argentine". There's a phrase lost to history. The wheel of fortune can apply to any country
That sounds amazing!
