    DIY rocks! Coated 3 cars right before winter kicked in, 1 w/ DIY, 1 w/ Adams, 1 w/ Cerakote. All three are performing awesome! What I enjoy the best is how smoooooth the panels are post wash, it was like I just clayed the car. Not to mention the leaf blower. Had to park a car outside last night in the rain, pulled out the leaf blower and the car was dry & clean from head to toe. Why didn’t I ceramic coat years ago??

    Good update. I have that one on my personal SUV and its great. I put their 5 year on my wife's Palisade and its doing equally well. Used the 3 year on the Father in Law's car which is often parked at the cruise terminal in Florida. Its doing great also. All were very easy to apply.

    Not to be negative (I'm a huge fan of DIY Detail in general), but the hydrophobics aren't impressive to me in the least -- especially not for a ceramic coating that is supposed to last 8 years.

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  5 місяців тому +6

      Considering it’s been properly maintained with their incredible suds and ceramic gloss I thought initial hydrophobics were OK but after that first contact wash I was blown away. It wasn’t tight little beads (that honestly can make a lot of water spot issues) but the beads rolled off so quickly on their own and I didn’t see any water spotting issues because of that on the paint. The glass did have some staining but that could have been from soap drying on it and staining it. We will be seeing it back in 6 months so I’m anxious to see how it holds up especially after this winter

    Hi Chelsea I am wondering if I can have your opinion. I have used Scott's T3 coating and think the gloss was very impressive, I've used DIYDetails 3 year Graphene and also gloss was great but not as glossy as the T3. What coating would yoi say provides the maximum gloss to the naked eye? I'm considering Diy's 5 year ceramic, but have heard good things about under dog as well?

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  4 місяці тому +2

      I honestly haven’t compared gloss levels as sometimes they are great initially but over time will diminish and that can be enhanced with toppers so I don’t sweat things like that. I’ve been impressed with the Graphene pro coat 2.0 from Mckees as well as their 5 yr graphene formula. Diys 3 yr is supposedly their glossiest and I stopped using Undrdog as I saw issues with durability and chemical resistance (if they updated their formula I’m not sure if that changed or not) but personally have noticed even coatings that claim to be the glossiest will lose some of their gloss over time so at this point I go for easy to apply, affordable and durable and then use toppers like Titan or Ceramic Gloss to up the gloss levels

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
