Pan, I became a DIY detailer junkie a few years back and you have become my "go to" for the correct way to do things. THEN I stumbled across you showing us your newest stereo system. I had to laugh because it just so happens that I am an audiophile as well. Now we share two passions.........next thing you know, I might find out that you love exotic over-under shotguns, pickleball and golf!
Hehe it’s always nice to share common passions with my viewers. I also like watch collecting, sneaker collecting, headphones collecting, home theater stuff, HiFi, etc
I saw this on their website a while ago, but was confused as to what exactly it's supposed to do or how good it is, but after watching this video, I ordered two bottles.
Hi Pan. I would have loved to see a side by side comparison of with and without the interior ceramic to know if it's really justified. Maybe your next video? Thanks.
It doesn’t alter the appearance of the surface, so it keeps the factory fresh appearance. There would be no difference in “before” and “after” applying this coating visually. Hence why I didn’t make that comparison. You can see as I apply it, it blends in and doesn’t change the look of the surfaces. What it does is protect them.
The DIY Detail Interior Ceramic Coating, as Pan mentioned, doesn’t change the appearance. It’s designed to provide protection against staining, and make the interior easier to clean and maintain.
Thanks Steve! Yeah they have a great product line overall. And they do a great job at discussing their products and demonstrating them on their UA-cam channel.
Hi Pan, Yes for cleaning I use the 2 methods you mention depending on how dirty the interior is. It seems like more and more DIY Detail products are becoming part or your arsenal for detailing. Thank you as always for all that you do for us.
Excellent as always Pan. Huge thanks to the Yvan and Nick for creating this product. I usually use 303 Automotive Protectant on my customers vehicles as they love the lasting protection and the OEM look, but i would like to offer this as an option as well in my detail package. What would you suggest to best remove the existing 303 from the interior surfaces prior to applying the DIY Details interior Ceramic on the previously 303 coated surfaces? Thank you as always for taking the time to read all the UA-cam comments and for replying to us 🙂
Thanks! That's a good question, as you already have a great long term protectant applied. Perhaps DIY Detail will read your comment and give a detailed answer.
Hi Pan! Came to research how to use this product. Im in the DIY Tuber contest and we will be expected to use all of the products so I need to start researching. Thank you for this video!! 😊✌️
I remember you! :) I wish you all the luck in the world in that competition, you can do it! And you found the right place to learn everything about products and tutorials. Have a great weekend!
@PanTheOrganizer Very curious to hear how to apply these products in the winter months when all you have access to is a coin-operated car cash that is typically not very well warmed up. Will the product go bad? Will the cold of Canadian winter cause any surface damage since you cannot let the product cure for more than a few minutes? Thanks in advance! Great content, as always.
Thank you Pan for this, i have wanted to try the product. A year and a half i tried the Art De Shine interior ceramic, it was ok but DIY seems more affordable.
It was the first products I've tried from diy detail. I used it on my new SUV and liked so much that I did my other 2 cars with the same bottle. It's just amazing just like the rest of there line. Now, I have every single products they have. The diy detail rinceless wash does the job for cleaning my hard to clean white interior in my corvette. The interior and protect is also a great cleaner and protection.
Pan and others, what would you recommend for cleaning your interior with, first? I'm a subscriber and I've been using TurtleWax Interior to clean first but with no follow-up like this. Please advise, and thanks!
Great product. I have used that product on my last 2 details. Super easy and effective. P&S Xpress interior for cleaning as always! 🙌🏻 Thanks for sharing Pan. Blessings from USA 🇺🇸 GGG 😎
Excellent review as always Pan!!!! Question….How does this product stack up against other ceramics considering interior detailing ESPECIALLY UNDERDOG for example??? Thank You
I will never review that brand's coatings on my channel. They have horrible business practices in my opinion. There's a reason why no major channel has ever featured their coatings on UA-cam. There are reasons for that. I'll leave it at that. But thanks for the comments about my video Robert! Welcome to my channel. Big fan of your channel and content, but respectfully would like to see you (and other large detailing channels) mention safety precautions when using and promoting some of these products. Not sure of the percentage in this interior ceramic, but all products containing Si02 are not friendly to our lungs. When used in an aerosol form, the potential risk is much higher. Add to that, it's use inside an enclosed vehicle... well, I hope you can see my point. I haven't been able to find the MSDS on this product (or other similar ones), but would be shocked if it didn't state respiratory warnings. Not bashing the product, I've used its recently myself, but was surprised how strong the smell was and found it still noticeable after a week of daily driving. As someone who loves detailing, and also is very health conscious, these kinds of interior products are a big concern to me.
Another great video Pan! This product I'm sure is great as many from the DIY detail lineup, I just wish it was accessible in my country (Poland) wich is not unfortunatlely...
@@PanTheOrganizer Many good ones thankfully but a lot of pure American home made are missing but still a whole Gyeon lineup (wich is insanely good priced based on the brands performance) DiY has ONLY Incredible Suds and Rinsless wash (thank god for it), P&S is here too - the whole lot (cheers!),Mckeys and Turtle Wax is very common - but Griots is missing, Adam's is practically non-existent (shame), forget Angel and a few other good ones.. :(
Wowee this seems brilliant! I've got those annoying part vinyl, part fabric seats and had to use two different products which was super difficult, and I believe I can use this on both the fabric and the vinyl? Also do we need to discard our microfibre after application? Loved the review Pan, thank you 😊
As always Pan great video and informative! I have used DIY detailer and System X interior. Good and great products, I use VRP to bring a shine on top if you like that look.
It’s a very thin liquid that adheres to the surface of the carpet fibre making staining difficult. For leather it doesn’t block the pores, instead coats the pores. Protection durability is dependent on abrasion.
DIY Detail states that abrasion/friction is the main determining factor of durability. On high traffic areas like floor mats, 3-4 months. About a year on the driver’s seat. A few years for the rest of the interior.
Interesting product I’ll have to give it a shot. More interesting is the polyurethane you mention on new factory leather. I tried to Google some information about it. I can’t find much and now you have me wondering about what If you condition new leather. Pan, can you please explain more about the protectant car manufacturers apply to new leather . Thank you
I have as applied the DIY detail interior ceramic to all the interior surfaces of my car. Awesome performance other maintenance cleaning. DIY Rinseless is the product of choice.
You wouldn't. The DIY Detail Interior Ceramic is made to be used as the base layer of protection. It's basically like PERL on steroids, to put it in simple terms. Either keep on using PERL (1:5 for interior use) or wait until the protection fades away, thoroughly clean the surface (to remove any previous dressing) and then apply DIY Detail Interior Ceramic.
Are there any potential health risks associated with putting a coating like this on interior surfaces that will be touched frequently, especially where people may also be eating? Secondly, what sort of durability can we expect from this coating? The price is much higher than that of dedicated leather and fabric protectants so, other than the "all surfaces" use case, what's the benefit?
Once cured( +/- 30 minutes) it’s completely inert, and will have no effects. For durability, on high traffic areas like the floor mats expect 3-4 months, on a daily driven car expect a year on the drivers seat, for the rest of the interior several years.
I live in an area where summer and UV are pretty high reaching 45 degrees Celsius in summer so almost 55 inside the car if it's left in the sun. I wanted to understand that how does the product fare in such conditions? vaporize, degrade or become toxic in any way? I have 2 kids and want to apply this to protect my car from their adventures but want to be sure before I do.
Nice vid Pan! If I apply this product to my interior, what would the regular (weekly) maintenance of my car be like? Could I still use the P&S Swift Clean & Shine on top of this to also get UV protection?
This is next on my list to try. I’d expect that you could also use rinseless as maintenance. That stuff just does everything. Using in the household now 😂
Great video as always, I have a question. I have a vehicle a few months old with leather perforated seats. I've purchased leather shield from a previous video of yours. I'm about to do my first detail inside and out (newbie) and I'm wondering if I should apply the interior DIY ceramic coating on top of the leather shield. I'm just wondering if this is necessary or harmful, ineffective or what? I'm 62, bought a 2024 Honda Ridgeline and I have to make it last...thanks so much for all your video, you've made me spend wat too much money on top of the new vehicle purchase lol!! Congrats on the new Porsche Cayenne and reaching a million subscribers!!
Have you done any reviews on Car Pro Leather 2.0? I have applied it on a couple of my cars and it does a nice job. I don't eat or drink in my car, other than having bottled water for the drive in the door panel, so I can't say whether or not it works for spillage or dye transfer. However, I have tested it on my leather seats for beading and it does bead nicely. I've spoken with the folks at Sky's The Limit, where I purchase all my Car Pro products, and they said they revised the formula due to an issue they were having with the original formula. From what I'm told, the first version was a ceramic product. I don't know what problem(s) they had with it, but it was revised to an acrylic/ceramic fusion. I never used the old formula, but I am using the 2.0 version, and it's very nice. It dries to a mat finish (manufacturer look) and it gives a mildly darker and richer look without any shine or heavy gloss. I'd like to see you review it and give your opinion. It applies like a ceramic, using a foam block poured from a glass bottle. Maybe you have reviewed it already, In which case, please direct me to the video.
Great videos as always Pan. Just don’t agree with protecting carpets, or at least not making them hydrophobic - carpets need to absorb water so aren’t slippery. They can just be cleaned when soiled.
Our DIY Detail Interior Ceramic Coating doesnt promote hydrophobics like the silicone based products. Instead it’s designed to prevent staining, mold, and make cleaning easier.
Hi Pan, so this looks great and you’re right very different from many other products especially in this price range… my question is - once interior ceramic is completed and say a month or 3 months later; is it okay to use intensive cleaners like we have been using for regular interior detailing? Does a stubborn stain removal also remove the ceramic coat on the interior? Thanks
Hi Pan. Happy New Year! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world. I would love to use the Ceramic Interior product and know it would be amazing on my leather, but I have a 2006 Porsche with the soft-touch trim that is notoriously easy to chemically damage or scratch. I’ve only ever used a damp or dry microfiber towels on the trim. Would this be safe for my trim? TIA!
On leather surfaces, I always prefer dedicated leather coatings. In the newest and greatest, Gyeon Leather Shield EVO is certainly top tier, so is the new Geist Repel I tested here: ua-cam.com/video/HM9NpQYGSuU/v-deo.htmlsi=I4zy8Xhqhpz4zlBv That being said, the DIY Detail Interior Ceramic is a solid option for someone who just wants one product to cover all interior surfaces quickly and easily.
I've been throwing my spent towels in a bucket of rinseless wash.. then when I get a a full load I wash them. The rinseless helps release the dirt or sealant... I got tired of throwing away good towels

Can this product be used on Mazda leatherette seats? If so, are there any long term negative effects such as discoloration of the vinyl, leatherette or carpet?
@@diydetailofficial I like the ones that pull the trigger and it mist for 10 seconds. I tend to use those for P&S bead maker and dream maker. Sometimes for interior. I prefer mainly spaying a microfiber directly
Is it advisable to apply DIY’s interior ceramic after cleaning the interior with Caropro’s InnerQD? Or would the interior ceramic masks InnerQD’s antimicrobial and antistatic properties?
As long as there is no previous dressing or protection on the surface, you can just use a rinseless wash or an interior cleaner like this: amzn.to/482x14Y If you already have a protection, they recommend to use this to prep the surface: bit.ly/47YFOoK For maintenance, you can use an interior detailer, or DIY Detail recommends their own one here: bit.ly/3GsuoxO
Hey Pan would you recommend this product on perforated leather seats? Ones with both heating and cooling options. And how many cars do you reckon one bottle will cover?
You could, but on leather I prefer a dedicated leather coating or leather sealant. See a video I made about perforated heated/cooled leather seats on my Porsche here: ua-cam.com/video/YFqRpJhkqJw/v-deo.htmlsi=otPRe0IQ03zeI0aM

Let me know how it works for you when you try it! 👍🏻
Thank you
Great info as always Pan. DIY Detailing seems to be knocking it out of the park with their products.
Thanks Steve! Yeah they have a great product line overall. And they do a great job at discussing their products and demonstrating them on their UA-cam channel.
Thank you.
DIY is making great strides since their debut, this product is no exception. I hope you enjoyed!
I wish you and your family happy holidays!
Thank you
Happy holidays!
Hi Pan, Yes for cleaning I use the 2 methods you mention depending on how dirty the interior is. It seems like more and more DIY Detail products are becoming part or your arsenal for detailing. Thank you as always for all that you do for us.
Thanks
Very cool product, I purchased their rinseless wash and I've been satisfied so I'll have to try this as well.
Thank you.,
Thanks for watching Tommy!
I would wait until the protection from the 303 has faded. To ensure it’s gone use DIY Detail All Clean diluted 30-1.
Thanks for the reply @@PanTheOrganizer
@@diydetailofficial Super!!! Thanks for the reply. Ill pick up one of the DIY All Clean as well as the Interior Ceramic

Awesome video and product review good friend
Thank you! Cheers!
Have they tested the product when the cabin is soaked with heat during summer in terms of chemical fumes?
Thanks for the video Pan! I just received my diy detail interior ceramic today! Perfect timing.
Enjoy!
Thank you
Loving the videos Pan!
Thanks man!
Go for a nice drive before and after to get your interior surfaces over 5c.
Thank you Pan for this, i have wanted to try the product. A year and a half i tried the Art De Shine interior ceramic, it was ok but DIY seems more affordable.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you
It was the first products I've tried from diy detail.
Thanks for sharing!
Merci Dennis.
Looks Great.. Good Job!👍🏾
Thanks Bruce!
Pan and others, what would you recommend for cleaning your interior with, first? I'm a subscriber and I've been using TurtleWax Interior to clean first but with no follow-up like this. Please advise, and thanks!
As I mentioned in the video, I'd use this interior cleaner first: amzn.to/3Gq27b7
Ah the product I was waiting for, thanks pan for the video!

Agreed
Excellent review as always Pan!!!! Question….How does this product stack up against other ceramics considering interior detailing ESPECIALLY UNDERDOG for example??? Thank You
I will never review that brand's coatings on my channel. They have horrible business practices in my opinion. There's a reason why no major channel has ever featured their coatings on UA-cam. There are reasons for that. I'll leave it at that.
But thanks for the comments about my video Robert!
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on UA-cam as we surpassed 960,000 subscribers and we have over 130 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers.
You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you very much for your candor. I have been a loyal fan of your channel for a long time and have come to admire your passion for your profession and your expertise. I just happened to stumble across that particular product and being an amateur detailer I had no vested interest in it one way or the other. However your courteous and prompt reply has definitely swayed me away from it! That being said, I’m picking up my new C8 2024 Riptide Blue Corvette in a few weeks. I saw that you apply 303 to a new cars interior ASAP post delivery. Any additional treatment coatings you would recommend?? And thanks again….Dr Bob
Thanks for your support Robert! And congrats on the new C8. Wicked ride!! Especially in that color! If you have leather seats, I would for sure apply either a leather sealant (1-3 months durability) or leather coating (6-12 months durability). I have many videos on both scenarios:
Leather sealant: ua-cam.com/video/YFqRpJhkqJw/v-deo.htmlsi=27g_pOgyOXqCEd12
Leather coating: ua-cam.com/video/CuN77nz8Ex8/v-deo.htmlsi=n9c8BUsJCer4Nh8K
Of course, the most important will be to clean and protect the exterior as quickly as possible once you take delivery. I also have many videos showing how I detail a new car from A to Z here:

Love your channel Pan!! You are my go to source for all my auto detailing needs. After taking delivery of my C8 Corvette, I immediately applied the DIY Interior Ceramic….PHENOMENAL results!! Dust won’t even land on the interior. Any scuffs are magically removed. Question….How often or ever should I reapply the Interior Ceramic???? Indications???
Where's Yvan Lacroix with a response?? 🤔🧐
An amazing product, I always use P&S products after seeing them on your channel. Great video Pan, thank you 👍🏼🇬🇧💜
Thank you
Another great video Pan! This product I'm sure is great as many from the DIY detail lineup, I just wish it was accessible in my country (Poland) wich is not unfortunatlely...
What brands are available to you in Poland?
Loved the review Pan, thank you 😊
Hi sir my name Nirmal i am from India I am asking you in this we can use for all vehicles or only new vehicle only
Any vehicle. As long as you clean the surface first, and then you apply this protection afterwards.
As always Pan great video and informative! I have used DIY detailer and System X interior. Good and great products, I use VRP to bring a shine on top if you like that look.
Thank you
It would be interesting to know how it interacts with the fibres of the carpet, plastics et al. How long the protection lasts.
Thank you
Looks like a great product. It's on my list.
I have as applied the DIY detail interior ceramic to all the interior surfaces of my car. Awesome performance other maintenance cleaning. DIY Rinseless is the product of choice.
Thank you
Thanks for sharing
Pan, I use carpro perl for the interior , how would you incorporate this product with perl?
@@diydetailofficial thanks for the response guys, keep up the good work!
I have this on my interior and it’s awesome!
Thanks
Thanks for sharing!
Nice vid Pan! If I apply this product to my interior, what would the regular (weekly) maintenance of my car be like? Could I still use the P&S Swift Clean & Shine on top of this to also get UV protection?
Yes. Or just a rinseless wash like the DIY Detail rinseless wash diluted 1:256
This is next on my list to try. I’d expect that you could also use rinseless as maintenance. That stuff just does everything. Using in the household now 😂
👍🏻
Correct DIY Detail Rinseless Wash is great for interior maintenance.
Hi nice dude .Good job bravo a Toi
Thank you
Great video as always, I have a question.
Thanks Chris! And if you already have leather shield, it's not necessary to apply the DIY interior ceramic coating on top.
Awesome review Pan!!
cant wait to try this stuff 👍🏻
Thanks
Thanks for watching!
This stuff looks really interesting and may be a product I'll have to introduce into my business.
Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend. Be sure to check out my new video Saturday morning. It's a BIG one!!
wouldn't dare miss it. thanks@@PanTheOrganizer
My interior ceramic of choice 💪🧼
Thank you
👍🏻👍🏻
Great videos as always Pan. Just don’t agree with protecting carpets, or at least not making them hydrophobic - carpets need to absorb water so aren’t slippery. They can just be cleaned when soiled.
Have you ever tested a fabric guard type product on carpets? I like those. But if you don’t, that’s ok too.
@@PanTheOrganizer Only some, but maybe I should try others too and see how they perform.
Our DIY Detail Interior Ceramic Coating doesnt promote hydrophobics like the silicone based products. Instead it’s designed to prevent staining, mold, and make cleaning easier.
Could you do a video comparing this and fabric 2.0 on carpet floor mats ?
Hi Pan, so this looks great and you’re right very different from many other products especially in this price range… my question is - once interior ceramic is completed and say a month or 3 months later; is it okay to use intensive cleaners like we have been using for regular interior detailing? Does a stubborn stain removal also remove the ceramic coat on the interior? Thanks
thats a great question! I'd like to know the answer as well.
TIA!
Happy new year! You'd be best to ask the team at DIY Detail to make sure.
Thank you Pan.
Are there any products you would recommend for my Porsche interior?
Hey Pan!
I use P&S interior cleaner. Once I do that and use this ceramic coating, can I maintenance clean with the P&S again?
You’d have to ask Yvan from DIY Detail
Would you recommend this product or the Gyeon leather ceramic coating?
On leather surfaces, I always prefer dedicated leather coatings. In the newest and greatest, Gyeon Leather Shield EVO is certainly top tier, so is the new Geist Repel I tested here: ua-cam.com/video/HM9NpQYGSuU/v-deo.htmlsi=I4zy8Xhqhpz4zlBv
That being said, the DIY Detail Interior Ceramic is a solid option for someone who just wants one product to cover all interior surfaces quickly and easily.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks!
Great video. Is it safe for the covers over instrument gauges.
Yes
Thanks Mark!
How long does the coating last? And since you were using a microfiber towel to apply it, does that mean you throw out the towel afterwards?
Good question. I imagine seats will last that doors. 🤔
I've been throwing my spent towels in a bucket of rinseless wash.. then when I get a a full load I wash them. The rinseless helps release the dirt or sealant... I got tired of throwing away good towels
DIY Detail states that abrasion/friction is the main determining factor of durability. On high traffic areas like floor mats, 3-4 months. About a year on the driver’s seat. A few years for the rest of the interior.

Can this product be used on Mazda leatherette seats? If so, are there any long term negative effects such as discoloration of the vinyl, leatherette or carpet?
Yes you can. And I haven't seen any long term negative effects. This is a protectant, so it should actually prevent those things.
@@PanTheOrganizer. Thank you very much.
Thanks Pan. Would you prefer DiYceramic for leather seats and dashs (porsche red leather) or Geist ?
For leather surfaces I still prefer dedicated leather products.
Pan. I like using salon style spray misters. The spray bottles that the mfg sends the products in sprays way more product then needed.
Our sprayers provide 1.1ml per spray. Many of the boutique ones actually spray more.
@@diydetailofficial I like the ones that pull the trigger and it mist for 10 seconds. I tend to use those for P&S bead maker and dream maker. Sometimes for interior. I prefer mainly spaying a microfiber directly
Good for many applications, but in this case it would use too much.
Is it advisable to apply DIY’s interior ceramic after cleaning the interior with Caropro’s InnerQD? Or would the interior ceramic masks InnerQD’s antimicrobial and antistatic properties?
It's not recommended to apply the coating on top of any existing protection, and InnerQD does lay down a thin layer of protection.
What product is recommended to clean before coating and then what product is used for maintenance?
As long as there is no previous dressing or protection on the surface, you can just use a rinseless wash or an interior cleaner like this: amzn.to/482x14Y
If you already have a protection, they recommend to use this to prep the surface: bit.ly/47YFOoK
For maintenance, you can use an interior detailer, or DIY Detail recommends their own one here: bit.ly/3GsuoxO
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you so much! I keep learning thanks to your channel 🙏🏽🙏🏽👍🏽 Greetings from Puerto Rico
Thanks man! Cheers from Montreal!!
Could you use a polish before the ceramic coating to make the plastic shine, or just use the ceramic?
You don’t polish plastic trim. Are you confused perhaps with applying a trim dressing?
It’s best not too. Interior plastics are not designed to shine.
maybe that's what I am thinking of, the trim dressing@@PanTheOrganizer
Don't apply any dressing before you apply the DIY Detail Interior Coating. It needs to bond to a clean and virgin surface.
Yes it can be used, but apply with an applicator, not by spraying. One bottle can do several vehicles.
Pan can you stated you can use it on any surface. What about weather tech floor Matt’s? Will it make the Matt’s slippery? Thanks Pan
Yes you can, no it will not change the feel.

I don’t unfortunately
Hi Pam , are these safe for alcantara seats. Thank you
Yes
Can this be applied using the DIY detail applicator sponge?
Any applicator of your choice.
Yes.
what do you think about turtle wax hybrid solution ceramic +graphene inside job?
It’s a different product as the Inside Job cleans and protects. The DIY is just a protection.
Can you use this on rubber floor mats or is there something else i should use?
Yes you can.
Would it be a good idea to use DIY Detail interior ceramic and maintain it with carpro innerQD ???
That works, but ideally when you run out of the QD, DIY Detail Interior Clean & Protect is the best maintenance option.
TY for this! Will purchase!
Thanks
Have fun!
I have a yukon with open grain wood trim. Can that product be used on it?
Yes
Can you stack this with the geist leather protectant?
I wouldn't recommend that.
Can this product be applied to ventilated seats without clogging the pores of the leather?
Yes no worries.
Great video and product review. I just think (IMO) that this product is kinda priced high.. $60.00 on Amazon? WOW
For that amount you can ceramic coat the interior of several vehicles. This is not a cleaner or short term protectant.
It's so versatile, almost magic !
Thank you
Can you use this in alcantara?
According to DIY Detail, yes.
Yes, apply and brush into the surface.
TEC582 diluted at a 1/20 ratio also works well for a fraction of the cost
I use that as well on the interiors of customer cars as maintenance, but I cant see it lasting anywhere as long as this DIY Interior Ceramic treatment.
This product is in my radar soon
Thank you.
6:30 if we use the 2 stage geist
No point in doing that. Your leather seats will already be protected by the Geist leather sealant. Pick one or the other, not both.
