Bit late comment but you should definitely check out the rest of still life(the album) if you haven’t already. Serenity painted death, face of Melinda and the moor are my personal favourites. Still life is my fav album but the others are great too.
I believe you are ready for Ghost of Perdition (masterpiece imho). Blackwater Park, Master's Apprentices and Deliverance should also be on your shortlist.
Huh?! Ok, as I said, discovered Opeth only a year ago. From that moment on my absolute favourite. Don't know why I never took the time to discover them earlier. Guess I was just wrong. Do yourself a favor and react to newer song of Opeth to experience another side of them too. Sorceress (live @ Red Rocks). Proggy in the beginning and at the end. The whole of the middle part is slow, but haunting as hell.
@@Celatra I'm delighted that we all have got freedom of speech and we have all different taste of what's good. I agree that Opeths last album is very good. However, 'Sorceress' does something to me. Especially the live one at Red Rocks. Hope that's ok with you.
I will never tire of watching people react to Opeth. React videos aren't usually my thing but getting to vicariously relive it through someone is just the cat's pajamas.
@@Celatra Well I couldn't possibly put every single old-ish Opeth song, and those two are great but there are a million reactions to those two songs, I wanted T to try something different than what everyone else is doing. The one's I listed are rarely if ever reacted to but yet they are absolutely amazing Opeth songs.
Opeth is so powerful that I have a hard time listening to some of their songs because they have intertwined with my memories and emotions that I relive some of the pain I experienced when I listened to them at the time when I was going through bad times. This is why I stop listening to my favorite music when something bad happens to me...
Awesome reaction man! I would recommend checking out Opeth - The Drapery Falls (Live at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London). In my opinion, that's Opeth at their best in a live recording.
Moonlapse Vertigo is a masterpiece!! My favorite song from Opeth!!! You could do also some track from the album My Arms, your Hearse. I would suggest: April Ethereal or When.
This is a top introduction song to old Opeth. Phenomenal rhythms. Starts with Mikael's smooth vocals. Insane outtro, clean transitions, just beautiful. The whole album is worth a review.
Opeth Faith in Others. Fleshgod Apocalypse Sugar..... if you react to spice Girls i will....ummmm...react badly I might have my hair teased and NO ONE wants to see that!!!!!!
Still live is hands down favorite and always was favorite by opeth. That album was a concept album and all it's notes... Incredible*** a true masterpiece**
Opeth is great... Twilight Is My Robe... Check out the band Between The Buried And Me. Like Opeth, very proggy/death with some clean vocals at times... very technical, yet smooth. Peace!
If you want a crazy treat, I'd suggest reacting to the Japanese experimental metal band Dir En Grey. Especially their song Vinushka because it gives you the whole gamut of their sound...Which is super unique and awesome.
The transition into the crescendo, then those super rich, warm harmonies..."I turned away my eyes"... SO damn good! As a huge fan and very familiar with their full catalog, its one of my fav moments of any of their songs. A real gem of theirs that doesn't get enough love is Funeral Portrait off the Blackwater Park album. But, I think that's partially because the whole album is so damn amazing. Give it a try! LOADED with super groovy riffs.
Spent many long nights stuck at work blasting Still Life over my speakers, scaring co-workers walking by. One of my favorite albums of all time. The intro of Moonlapse Vertigo always gave me chills every time.
It would be nice if you listen to the more lighter songs of opeth: Faith in others, Hope leaves, River, and the instrumental one "Epilogue". Very emotional stuff. Keep it up.
kudos to whom ever requested this song. Such a trip
Oh hell yeah I'll stick around for some opeth!!
This reminds me that I can't wait to hear that Black Dahlia Murder song you had planned at some point. They're a pretty solid melodeath band.
This album is arguably the best prog metal concept album of all time. Every moment of it is perfect
i 100% agree!
best album ever
Damn, Opeth a name I see lots but I never really listen to any of their tunes, this blew me away.
Same here. I just started listening to them 2 weeks ago.
Bit late comment but you should definitely check out the rest of still life(the album) if you haven’t already. Serenity painted death, face of Melinda and the moor are my personal favourites. Still life is my fav album but the others are great too.
Moonlapse Vertigo is one of their best imo. I've heard that the ending riff fades out because it would be punishable by death to just cut it off
@@swifthippo1 still life is also my favorite opeth album, but they are all great in their own way.
WhoTF asked for this song? Well fucking done.
Baying of the Hounds
I believe you are ready for Ghost of Perdition (masterpiece imho).
Blackwater Park, Master's Apprentices and Deliverance should also be on your shortlist.
These are some of the most popular ones. Arguably some of their best work.
It really is magic when an opeth fan finds another opeth fan. You nailed that point.
Leper affinity or the Moor, absolute masterpieces.
The outro riff is 🤤🤤
One of the finest Opeth's songs. Whoever recommended this deserves a cookie.
No spice girls .... more opeth, Meshuggah, avatar, Ghost, Dimhav, Vildhjarta, Bathory, dissection,
More opeth would be nice, When is a good one
luciano astudillo henriquez When is another masterpiece
agree please react to the song - When
When from Roundhouse Tapes!

anything on In Cauda is better than the best song on Sorceress

@@markblaauw4961 Good point. This tribal herd mentality (agree -or you're wrong) is getting us nowhere.
I will never tire of watching people react to Opeth. React videos aren't usually my thing but getting to vicariously relive it through someone is just the cat's pajamas.
Yes, more older Opeth. "Godhead's Lament", "The Moor", "When", The Apostle in Triumph", "Twilight is my Robe", "The Amen Corner", and "Advent"
...Demon Of The Fall? April Ethereal?

More Opeth Yessss.
In The Mist She Was Standing would be amazing !
Yes literally no one else suggests that song.
@@nikelodeon6852 One of my favourites .
I was so happy when he raised the volume.
Faith in Others - one of their best mellow songs.

This is why I stop listening to my favorite music when something bad happens to me...
Funny how that works eh? I tend now to save them for when I want to go into a different world creatively, rather than simply try to escape this one.
This happens to me too, it's like smelling a cologne that reminds you of someone you havent met in 10 years, it hurts but you just wanna keep smelling
Any fucking Opeth song, man. The Grand Conjuration, The Drapery Falls, Blackwater Park. etc.
I've had this screen name since the beginning of UA-cam. Therefore please react to Apostle In Triumph, by Opeth... From their first album.
We still waiting for more Opeth ;(
Awesome reaction man! I would recommend checking out Opeth - The Drapery Falls (Live at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London). In my opinion, that's Opeth at their best in a live recording.

Demon of the Fall-Opeth masterpiece
This is a top introduction song to old Opeth. Phenomenal rhythms. Starts with Mikael's smooth vocals. Insane outtro, clean transitions, just beautiful. The whole album is worth a review.
Song should be called ..trip to the moon and back with some ups and downs
The mixture of singing and screaming makes me think you'd appreciate a band like Between the Buried and Me.
Opeth Faith in Others. Fleshgod Apocalypse Sugar..... if you react to spice Girls i will....ummmm...react badly I might have my hair teased and NO ONE wants to see that!!!!!!
You will coment on the face of melinda
This will give you the power

The entire show at the royal Albert hall . The cleanest and most flawless live band I have ever seen or heard.

Reaction to Ghost of Perdition with your girl. Perfect
Harlequin forest, hessian peel, heir apparent, forest of October, April ethereal, the night and the silent water and face of Melinda

If you are Butcher, you are asking for Spice Girl reactions....
Lol
Is there a possibility that Tasha can do an Opeth reaction to maybe "Faith In Others"? Good stuff from Mikael and the crew!!!!
Ulver - Bergatt
How about Coal Chamber? This was the shit that I listened to in Afganistán along with wu tang clan while on HVT hunting mode
...good shit
I was looking at loco the other day. I think I might go ahead an check them out
Wu Tang is the shit. I can get down on some New York hip hop

Warbringer Glorious End off their new album.
Fantastic reaction, man. I can tell how much you really appreciate the music, it's awesome!
Umm yeah burden, the leper affinity or porcelain heart
If you want Opeth listen to the leper affinity
Do you have the courage to listen to 12 foot ninja??!!??
Listen to Opeth the leper affinity or anything by 12 foot Ninja!!!
Serenity painted death by opeth
9:15
Constructive interference
Face Of Melinda Please!!
Even though I love Opeth, a Spice Girls reaction would actually be kind of fun for some reason.
I will ask you: do you have the courage to react?!!????
Do you have the courage to listen to 12 foot Ninja??!!??
MORE OPETH!
More Opeth and Animals as Leaders please!
Opeth tracks: Blackwater Park, Ghost of Perdition, Deliverance
Animals tracks: Ectogenesis, Lippincott, the Brain Dance, or anything else!
Spice Girls was better. Sorry, this song is awful. A bunch of detuned guitar and non musical bs. A lot of thick musical mix that is not good.
