- Thanks for all the positive feedback on the english subtitles saab related documentaries. Because of covid we have not been able to to that much youtube videos. But here comes another one maybe the last one I could find. This is the story behind Per Eklunds ”home made” car built for one race Pikes Peak. This one was a diffcult one to subtitle because the local Swedish language is not that easy to always understand and many techical terms. But I am guessing this is better then nothing. So please enjoy.
- Per Eklund did not have any oxygen at this race!
- Sadly Leif ”X” Ahl passed away a few months after the Pikes Peak race.

Great engineering! But, just because I love the 96, if I had done it, I would have used a 96 with double wishbones front and also grafted onto the rear! Just imagine the nice wide wheel arches!

The POV angle by the end just screams FWD. Looks like fun! A lot of reeling in the front by overturning into corners, fun as hell. Yes, I do prefer AWD with a RWD bias but I'd happily own a forest rocket like this too lol

Haha my current and 14th SAAB is a LR 5dr Viggen in WA. I think only 34 came here probably what 25 left if we're lucky. Seems I have some work to do.
Why did they paint it? Is that a required racing spec?
Saab requairement maybe. But it has to look like a Saab of cource. Sorry for bad spelling.
But Saab sponsored with the body, and Trollspeed with the engine. And it has a Subaru gear box.
So it not exactly a real Saab.

@@MMSaabChannel Don't worry, the subs were more than perfectly understandable. I was just making a poor joke about that one, as it's supposed to be "Bottomless" but was typed as "Bottonless" by accident. I'll be sure to watch the other documentaries as well!
