I'm more of an introvert too. In high school, people would ask me all the time, 'Why are so quiet?' I just didn't know what to say. I would also plan dialogue in my head. Very relatable video. Thanks for sharing.

Take it slow, don't worry about pace; with each day, week and month, if you're focused on improving, things will slowly get better. As Jordan Peterson beautifully put it ― “Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.”

Embracing nihilism ironically helped me with depression and anxiety ... when you accept the fact that nothing in the world really matters you accept that nothing you do or that happens to you will matter ... you will die and eventually be forgotten and your entire slate wiped clean ... you free yourself from the outcome ...

I never liked talking to store employees. I have always struggled to talk to anybody I don't know. I would rather wander a store for an hour looking for 1 product than asking an associate "hey, where's the _____"

I wanna add something positive to the 3 seconds rule. 3 years ago I was about to go in the supermarket when I saw a cute looking girl near the entrance, counted till 3 then went and approached her. She's been my girlfriend since and all of her girlfriends and family say that's so sweet. It is actually that powerful. Too many times we are just caught up in our minds overthinking. Next time just count till 3 and go, if it's the right person, it will go so well, if not...well, it doesn't matter anyway I would say.

I struggle w/ social anxiety as well, but I’ve been having success getting over it through my photography. Speaking to clients & directing them boosted my confidence & a regular photoshoot always turns into a great conversation. I wish you & everyone else in this comment section much love & luck on their journey. We’ll overcome this together ❤️❤️❤️

Very interesting. Never would of guessed it coming from you. I remember as a kid all through grade school, jr high, and high school etc, I hated public speaking in front of the class. I tried whenever possible choosing topics that interested me so that when I had to read them out loud it wouldn't seem so bad. However, I found it easier to do this when I went to college because students were more mature and asked questions and seemed interested in what I had to say. Somehow that helped break the ice when i was able to explain things that were not clear to them. And you feel like you've accomplished something when you see students interacting with each other who otherwise would not all because I brought something to the table that made them think. It can be quite rewarding while at the same time as the saying goes practice makes perfect.

Wow this was a really really thoughtful video. I love the transparency. I have social anxiety. I don’t like to be by people. I don’t like to talk a lot. I always feel like I will get judge for when the attention is on me. I have started my channel a few months now. Just watch your video shows me that everyone goes through their battle. While everyone sees the result they don’t see behind the scene. At least for me I started to make my channel so I can just work on how to talk to the camera and at least try to help a few people out. Thank you Ryan for sharing your story and experience. Means a lot for everyone when you have a person who is transparent to help others out. Stay safe you everyone and have a great day. 💯

When i did therapy, i overcame it completely for 3 months. Not a single month overthinking shit, or fearing what will happend again. I was myself 99% and maybe i was a bit scared to be sarcastic with friends that's why i was not 100% myself. So if you think that you overcame your social anxiety and still have fears when thinking about talking to people. I guess you did not and i don't really know what to tell you instead of going to see a good therapist and being consistent with the sessions and applying all the things that they tell you to do. It's not normal to be scared when you talk to other people, like you have to work on yourself till you never get this feeling of fear again. Might take a while, but if you are still scared, that means that you are not okay. I was so confident before i got social anxiety, so confident about myself, i always did things that i loved to do without giving a shit about what others felt, i was able to make friends easily by just being myself. I knew what i wanted and i just did it. I mean if before you had social anxiety you were at ease with something, if now you are not like before so how the fuck you overcame That shit? There are some work to be done

●Switch from messaging to calling a person.
●Try to talk to strangers like im store asking for product or ordering food on phones or anything.
●Compliment random people like u are wearing nice jacket or u have nice smile or u look good today.
●Have a conversation with a stranger like without an unprepared script, through urself in the situation saying 1 2 3 and here i go.
●dont let the overthinking eat you up.

My social anxiety mainly comes from the way I look, being overweight, having dark circles, etc. I'm scared to go outside because I get the fear that people are looking at me, laughing or thinking omg, he's fat. I also have some pretty bad dark circles under my eyes. I get anxious when I'm talking to someone people I know they are looking at my dark circles and thinking, is this guy on drugs, does he get sleep at all, or whatever. Back in High School, omg, it was the WORSE!!! I had some really bad anxiety sweats. Just sitting there in the class room, I would start sweating if I started to think of negative thoughts. My sweating anxiety isn't so bad today, it's gotten a lot better, but I still do from time to time only if I'm in a situation I can't get out of or if I'm doing anything physical.
I know what I am to do to over come these problems today, it's going to take some work though.

Not sure if there is any remedy for that...and if it’s weather and sports I am already mentally checking out lol
