Review by Erik from www.LEDGrowLightsDepot.com
I recently tried an HLG 550, after years of using HPS, will never look back. The improvement in quality of flower was very impressive, the reduction in power use is sexy, great lights !
@@Jeepster395 Well, my partner bought both and tested side-by-side, the HLG was brighter for some reason *shrugs*
@@Jeepster395 not the same LEDs...... Binning matters......
@@Jeepster395 Mars hydro makes mids
@@Jeepster395 i researched a ton and heard people had problems with there spider farmer after couple months and that the costumer service was ass id rather pay extra for a higher quality product and 3 year warranty! maybe your the one who got fooled into buying a shitty product!
@@carmens1996 idk my boi Hygro killed it and showed out. Did the side by side to and has gone with the Spiderfarmer. YT my boi and see for yourself
So Eric what light would you buy or use to grow the best weed you could grow,no bull?
How much would you dim if wanted to run in a 4x4?
Thank you for this valuable info.I have researched this light for nearly 3 weeks and this video was the tipping point for me. Ordered mine last night and totally stoked about it.
let me know what you think after you get it ,im thinking about getting this or a Gavtia Pro 1700e keep in touch bra
Huszar Farms Absolutely man! Will definitely give ya my review and opinion. Peace
47 E.B.O Electric sky was in the top 5 lights I researched long and hard. Gavita, chilled and few more for several weeks. I’m no led expert by no means but feel like I did my due diligence in looking and comparing. The bigger bar lights are nice but I thought it would be a pain the ass for my 5 1/2 x5 1/2 space. I like to be able to get in my space and reposition things. From looking at all the different lights,,,,,, the HLG 650r looked to fit my space better and give just as much coverage as most but for less money. My current light is a 250 watt Budgetled light from some awesome guys in Michigan. They build some badass lights. They have come out with new Demon board that looks dope asf. I will post later after I get the hlg 650r and let you guys see for yourself
@@Tonythc-nk3xz WISH U HAD THE SPACE THAT GAVITA ITS ONLY 100 DOLLARS MORE...PEOPLE WHO HAVE HLG'S SAY THEY WISH THEY HAD GOTTEN THE GAVITA .... ITS HAT THE INDUSTIES USE THE BIG GUYS & ITS HARD 2 BEAT
Huszar Farms Gavita is a nice looking light also ,,,,, and with impressive numbers to back it up. I was at the point of just having my wife cut straws and label them and me draw one.lol Tracking shows my 650r will be here 10/6/20. I also got $100 off the $1099,,,,,, I feel pretty good about the purchase.
650R 😳😱🤯😍🔥🔥🔥So Dope, gonna go awesome next to my 550rspec in my new 5x9 gorilla grow tent, was gonna go with the optic 480slim or 600slim which are really cool with use of master controller, but I really like this new HLG 650R and it has new Lm310H diodes, I think I’ll stick with an all HLG tent with adding this second light next to my 550rspec can’t wait to get it, gonna see if I can order it today, I really want an Optic Slim and Optic 6 gen 4 with controller ports and run them both of one master controller and put them in a separate tent so I’ll have an HLG tent and an Optic tent!😉🔥🔥🔥🤪great review thanks 😊 ✌️💯
Look up the avincii 1125 it smashes the slim 600 and is around the same price
Extremely unbelievably satisfied with my first grow with my SLIM 600H. So incredibly powerfull, i got gram per watt + bud quality i couldnt fucking believe. The ROI on this thing is ridiculouss allready on the first crop. If Deez Nutz thinks he's doing better with this whatever light he mentioned would be interested to hear some results.

I swapped my industrial plug ins for residential, now I can't get them to turn on, help!
Are the 550 lights still available anywhere ?
Wouldn't the uniformity be better on the Chilled Tech GrowCraft X6 at 24"???
Yes, way better lightspread with allmost any high end manufacturers 8-bar light fixtures than the HLG's.
Peace & GL
Does this unit get as hot as the 550’s? Which cranks up your AC & power consumption.
These should get just as hot. LEDs still put out appx 50% of wattage in radiant heat. Definitely a downside I have seen with the HLG lineup. Poor heat management reduces the life of components and eventually reduces output of fixture.
While I love my HLG 550 R specs & my 600, they already limit plant height to maintain Proper distancing in flower, Increased distance with more Power? Even with the Extension on a 5x5 Gorilla, minus 36" only leaves 5 feet, without subtracting planter height, or the fact your light would have to be right at the ceiling. That being said, the HLG 550 R specs are well worth the money.
How does this compare with the Growers Choice 720-es and the Eye Hortilux 700-es?
So the 30 inches for flower. Is that with the dimmer all the way up?
Yes
Don’t start them out on full brightness. The best way to not stress them is in week 2 of flower start clicking the dimmer one adjustment higher each day until they are maxed. this light is very intense and can shock them and or burn them if you start on max
Looks like a wonderful light but 1100 USD feels really pricey to light a 5x5 tent. Perhaps I'm mistaken though.

I love my 650R and thank you for what you do.
its this or that Gavita 1700e ...im tryin to decide... you really like you huhu??
The only US labor on an HLG is loading the Japanese LED board stuffers and putting quantum boards into a shipping. box. The LEDs and
and PC board are all made overseas.
Why do some led grow lights have only what looks like soft white and red led. A lot of led lights have all kinds of different color leds. As I look at this one, there's only soft white and red leds... Can you clarify on this, I'd hate to grow healthy watermelon that doesn't taste good.
Please do the gavita 1700e there’s NO third party reviews on this light done properly
Comparison between this guy and the Gavita 1700e gen 2 would be awesome!

@SEEK ONE aelius redd is the best led light period
SEEK ONE that’s Rad, I have found some of these new still for sale. I am a novice indoor grower and am not sure which direction to go.
If this was available for your last best of video would it have replaced the 550 rspec in the video?
The HLG runs really hot compared to the Chilled Tech as the driver is attached on the fixture. Curious why you didn't point that out and use your temp gun. Makes a big difference in a tent grow.
i am agree with you , the hlg 550 runs really hot to me , but on the hlg 650r you have more than double of the 550' diodes so the temperature should be colder :D
@@lisachaleon8885 it still has the driver mounted to the light so that heat is always gonna be there on the HLG. The reason why I chose the Chilled setup is because of this reason and me growing in a hot climate so every bit helps.

Hlg over everything else in this industry.
600w class ready to hang LED lights
1) 1770umols - HLG 650r $1099
2) 1700umols - Fluence spydr 2i $1350, Thinkgrow model H $1350, Gavita 1700e $1300
3) 1647umols - Chilledtech X6 growcraft 600w $1099
4) 1600umols - Thinkgrow model W $1100, Fluence spydr 2p $1199
This light is at the top of the list at this power level. No it isnt cheap but its cheaper than its competition while also beating that competition in output.
A 25 light setup with HLG 650r would output 44,250uls total at a cost of $27,475.
A 25 light setup with Spydr 2i would output 42,500umols total at a cost of $33,750.
So for less than the price of 21 Spydr 2i($28,350) you get more output than 26 Spydr 2i(44,200umols)
Good analysis!
It’s the worst design and is made from $350 worth of parts. All that par conentrated of that small of an area is as dumb as the “ engineers “ at hlg who designed it. The only reason efficacy is higher = too much blue. Another bs light brought to you by the joke of a lighting industry. 30” hanging height for a reason. Hot spots for dayssssss.
Why would you use the scorpion over the 650r Diablo? It says on the site its for "Vertical Growing" , what is that? o_O
It is for vertical racks or grows with a ceiling lower than about 7 and 1/2 feet.
How does this compare to Gavita?
Wow! Just wow! Thanks Eric.
1:10 Which light is better - 4000K+660nm or 3000K/5000K+660nm?
3000k for only flowering, if u have one tent for veg and flow you go for the 4kk.
I don’t understand, why isn’t this light recommended for vertical growing?
The only US labor on an HLG is loading the Japanese LED board stuffers and putting quantum boards into a shipping. box. The LEDs and
and PC board are all made overseas. The good news is the shipping box is made in the USA.
In a 4x4, what would you recommend for height and dim setting on seedlings? This video has been awesome FYI
A.J. Lmao i used it on my seedlings just dim it
Get an hlg65 for seedlings. If you decide to use this light for seedlings keep it 50 inches above them on the lowest settings
How does this stack up against the Nextlight Mega.
I think more efficient but not sure
That’s a good question but this is a new product so it should perform better
I can vouch that this light is incredible over one plant Wow!
Is there 4000K or 3000K+5000K?
I got the canopy height but at what dimmer setting for veg and flower? Thanks!
Just get a par meter... normally 300 par for early veg... n then turn it up as the week go by... u can bloom at 1500 if u get ur environment right fan n temp... the sun at noon is over 2000 par on clear sky.
Don’t exceed 900-1000 ppfd if your not running Co2 in flower.
Can you please give me your thoughts on the Maxibright Daylight PRO 660watt LED. Thank you in advance.
ive got the Daylight 480W Pro - its only just come out - good grow light and obv the 660W pro is better. I got the 480W b'cos it fits better in a 1.2m Sq. tent with a carbon filter. what did you want to know?
I notice that you've stopped angling the sensor when taking readings... Thank you.
I thought the quantum sensor doesn’t need to be angled. I remember Scynce showing us higher par numbers with their lights by angling the sensor.
It's more accurate when you do angle it. To face the light directly as a plant would.
Go Grow New Mexico thanks for the clarification!
@@HIGHGRADECHANNEL No it's not. Angling the sensor gives inflated readings. Period.
This light is going to crush it wow! 🥰
Hi Eric
Why is the Slim600H by Optic been removed? I’ve been looking for that light and review? Why did you guys stop selling and remove review vids?
I have no idea but after my first grow with my SLIM 600H i can't recommend it enough!! The fixture is super high quality and crazy powerfull. Easily could have flowered my 5x5 Gorilla tent with only 75% power!! I got such mad gram per watt + bud quality on the first grow with it that i still can't believe!! Just look at the components on this thing; 600w MEANWELL driver, 2760 LED's...SAMSUNG lm301H + CREE blues & reds for the superior bud quality. + It runs super cool. One of the best high end LED light fixtures for 4x4 or 5x5 in 2020 in the industry IMO.

Ganjaman78 I know right!?😃. I switched to the Slim600H and my first garden with it was Atleast 30% bigger and denser flowers💭. Awesome light💭😃
Cannabis Catnip...It sure is an amazing light. Had my hopes way up allready when i bought it (because of the parts and specs) but it managed to blow my mind totally. I got straight away called a liar when i shared information regarding my first yield with it. And i honestly couldnt believe it myself....i had to weigh everything many many times and after that i was yielling and partying alone in my crib for a good while 'cause i wasn't used to anything like this with HID!!! I got 1131grams trimmed & cured A+ medical high grade ganja. Topshelf bud, no popcorn. That's like 1,9grams per watt on the first go and that's fucking INSANE!!! I Can't wait what we can do in few years when we get some experience with it and got everything all dialed in. There's gonna be some crazy high gram per watt in the future. It's just an incredible light, couldnt be happier with it!!

What size tent is this recommended for?
this can do 7x7 veg and 5x5 flower I think
@@thenormalyears 7x7 my ass
Can someone please tell me why there’s 11 dislikes? Honest question. I was considering buying two.
Because he just read the specifications . Didn't test , grow anything , no long duration differences .. Like buying a car. and not driving it, just reading what the booklet says..
@NothingWrong WithThisName makes sense. Sure wish someone would retort.
There’s a lot of hlg haters out there for some reason and those who bought spyder or gavita for more money probably upset
What do U think of Spider Farmer sf4000?
2100 BTU/hr == 0.615 kW, so ? 650w from the wall and 615 w in BTU ?
Now I realized I have to go move my lights and try to get some more distance or I have to move smaller plants under my lights.
Rebranding parts shouldn't have a 1000% msrp markup cause its ( Reassembled ) in the USA.
@camjamsdad lol its already available on alibaba, was looking at this same one last week
Not one Alibaba board with 600+ diodes you all are idiots
Is this better than the chilLED X6?
Absolutely in so many ways. First off 3-year warranty. It's more efficient it runs cooler. Going to save on cooling cost and the diode last longer they don't degrade like some of the other light manufactures that after a year your ppfd value decreases over 40%. Unmatched Spectrum tuned to perfection of blue an far red than any LED or hid on the market today. The one thing you should not cheap out on is your light. If you're going to buy a race car would you want a Toyota Prius 120hp motor or a 600hp tuned engine. There's a huge difference and the science is quite clear there's no light on the market that will match the 650r as of today. This is as good as it gets.
$2,000 for the chill LED 1500 for the hlg. Chill LED should just chill there using sazzle to handle customer payments if that doesn't tell you something the unbalanced Spectrum ratio blue to red will. This light is going to grow tall spindly plants because it's more favouring the red which promotes stem elongation not a good characteristic if you're growing indoors. Also there including UVA diodes which are only beneficial in the last few weeks of harvest if at all any noticeable difference. UVA which is integrated in all their lights actually inhibits growth in the early stages and takes away energy from the plant because UVA causes the plant to expel energy trying to protect itself from the UVA when that energy could be used in growth. If you're growing cannabis this light is not very good
Samson's Cannabis basically agree with everything you said. The 650R fixtures I’m in love with. I just got the 650R fixtures so I also got a single 550 V2 Rspec that I want to use at the end of one of the rows to see if there’s any noticeable effect from having the 3000k white diodes. Then when I’m done seeing the difference I’ll use the 550 V2 Rspec as my light I use for my pheno attic area.
I got 8 of these in June. They were 4000K and Red. I just got more 650Rs and they are the 5000 and 3500K. Anyone know why the might do this and potential differences however small ?
Has anyone made a review of growers choice vs hlg? I cant find anything please help!
I have an HLG 550 and I have a growers choice e720 on the way now. Should be here tomorrow. I will be posting a video when it arrives
@@rickd4900 how’s the growers choice compared to the 550
@@josemartin7405 I like the growers choice better. Veg it does better for sure. The HLG is nice so far for flower though so I can’t complain about either.
why are par tests I see on youtube with the apogee mq500 so different than the lab test par maps? I know the lab par map is a 5x5 but still the drop off is huge on theirs, even if you take theres and shrink it to a 4x4 these numbers dont match. I don't know who's par map I should be trusting.
Keep in mind I am taking these in a grow tent, while the lab tests are not taken with reflective walls. Mine may show higher readings due to the reflectivity.
@@Ledgrowlightsdepot aahh makes sense
Why haven't you reviewed a Spider Farmer product? Do you have a deal with HLG or sum

LED Grow Lights Depot out of curiosity besides warranty reason why is it companies aren't using larger drivers. The forward volts on the samsung chips cant handle allot more volts (even samsung runs their diablos boards at 56v) are and apms. I ran two of these boards at higher volts and was able to achieve 440w from 2 qb288s . Fans are needed on the heat sinks but performance is great.
Roi e680 vs the HLG 650r? In a 5x5 / 4x8 using half the space.

Definitely the ROI E680, the lightspread is way better + you can get it way much closer to the plants leaving you more space to grow in your tent.

At what height would you veggie add and what strength would you set the light
It will veg a 7x7 at 48 inches
is there a controller for this light?
This or Chilled X6 600w?
Definitely go for the Chilled X6 600w. The lightspread is so much better with Chilled than HLG. I've got the SLIM 600H myself which is very similar to the Chilled X6 and absolutely freakin crushin it!! Right on the first grow so mad gram per watt + bud quality i just couldnt fuckin believe it!!

The problem is that this light will never outperform 1000w double ended . There is not a chance for that to happen.

Why does my brand new 550 V2 RSpec have LM301B and not LM301H diodes? I’ve actually never seen one with the LM301H diodes.
Both the exact same diodes.
Medical MJ look at the specs he posted, he says more than once that the 550 has the 301H diodes when it actually doesn’t.
Optics406 No they aren’t.
Medical MJ Did you even watch the whole video? He compared them at the end and says the 550 has diodes that it doesn’t.

SO EXPENSIVE FOR A LIGHT!
If you know what you're doing it pays for itself in the first 6 months 2 times over because I've done it.
It all comes down to how you think about these things...i bought the SLIM 600H for about 1300 usd / 1200€ and right on the first grow with it got such mad high gram per watt (+ bud quality) that if i was to sell the whole yield i could buy straight away 14 more SLIM 600H's!!!!!!! Now i can't understand how could i see this as a too high of a price! The ROI just on the first grow alone is ridiculouss! You have to consider what you get for the money and what it can do for you. Look at the highest quality components that it's made out of: 600w MEANWELL driver, 2760 pieces of LED chips from SAMSUNG (lm301H!!!) and CREE's best 440nm royal blue + 660nm deep red for the best possible bud quality + plant compactness. With the lifetime of 100 000 hours most of us personal or medical growers wouldnt need to buy another light in the rest our lives!! I'm super fuckin impressed with this highest quality light fixture and would buy it again in a heartbeat!! Coming with my highest recommendations to every serious grower who's interested in some unseen gram per watt + bud quality!!

U puff
Lets see the scorpion diablo!
Indoors tents r too short for seeds. Even Veg needs these lights super high. I'd put em 3-4 feet above the Veg, then adjust down as needed. Just bought 15 × 600W for a Work Veg Room. Up soon.
Just picked one up for 650
30 inches to canopy according to their website ? That's doesnt leave much room in 7' tent... anybody have experience with this ?
Nick Cove I have a hlg600h which is close to the 650r(just ordered one) as far as wattage and close to same light output at 1500 vs 1700 and I run it 100% and had plants 12 inches away no problem one plant was around 8 inches and loving it, if you can control the temp in your space keep temps down imo you’ll be fine man just observe and watch cola temps if you see yellowing turn that dimmer knob ✌️
Plus 15 in minimum on top, not good for tents
Photobio designed by Sananbio optoelectronics for hydrofarm. The light has some may features and positive its efficient its 3.1 tying optics Phantom XL. Seems alot of grow lights are copying Sananbio optoelectronics designs.
But still don't have the features that the Photobio has..
Anyone have any complaints about this one producing a lot of heat?
I like how chilLED fixtures let you out the driver outside the tent. That’s really making me lean towards chilLED a little more but I’m really interested in this one now
I have both the hlg 650 r buds more compact and bigger compara to the chilled tech x6 if yiu dont believe me check on instagram jahgenetics
I keep a small dual ac infinity computer fan blowing at each of my 650r’s. I can hold my hand on it without any discomfort with the dial maxed out. It’s pretty good on not producing too much heat
I didn’t know you use the troll master to control this light
Cool brother very nice light thanks for sharing ✌💨💨
To much what's. To much watts for a 4x4 and not enough light for 5x5 if your wanting high yields
Great review! Thank you 🙏🏻
hey can you review the yearld 170 watt grow light. it looks so good and so cheap for samsing diodes 🔥🙏
Diodes don't mean shit anybody can take some diodes and a driver and throw it on a board what it takes years of research and development Max those diodes and Driver to the proper wattage output Spectrum and heat dissipation. Just because it's the same diode doesn't mean you're going to get the same quality of light because you won't. That's like saying I'm going to buy these $10,000 race car tires put them on my Dodge Caravan and expect the van
to have the same power as a race car. Ummm nope.
I bought this ligh this spring and in my opinion this light dose not much to grow plants i am not in press

LUMATEK ZEUS 600 w PRO and 1000 W pro will smoke this light for a much lower price :) NAd the best thing is that it will not get as hot as the QB
Aydin Zanjani where in the US can you get a Zeus
Just wait HLG has a light coming out in June that will smash all the bar lights on efficiency and price.
Green gold will do! I’m still doing fine with my hps right now anyway
Obviously there are people here who just don't understand the science. Plants are autotrophic they make their own food from light the better the light the better the quality food the better the quality plant. Uses less energy less Heat then hid. HID lights have a huge downfall 30% of the light is not even usable by plants and causes excess temperatures in the Leafs of the plants. After a certain point enzymatic activity slows down which means growth slows down not only are you not able to use all of your light in a hid your pain three times as much to run it. Science is real and the results are real I understand it's a pricey light but if you know what you're doing it will pay for itself in the first 6 months 2 times over. There's no light on the market to date that can match it's efficiency quality and warranty. For the love of God if there's anything you should not cheap out it's your light!!💚✌
It's LUMATEK in Europe and PHOTONTEK in the US, exactly the same fixture. And it's an outstanding fixture, there are many similar very good ones from many top manufacturers, just do a ton of research and choose the one that's best for you. I went with the SLIM 600H and after the firsr grow couldnt be happier!! Just unbelievably crazy mad high gram per watt + bud quality!!! A 600w MEANWELL driver, SAMSUNG lm301H + CREE's 440nm royal blue + 660nm deep red for the best possible bud quality + plant compactness and with the only 10year warranty in the industry it's one of absolutely the best high end LED light fixtures in 2020 IMO.

How do you review a light with no results? Get some plants in there
I wonder how’s this gonna compare to my dimlux 1000w in yield
Thanks for that info!
These quantum boards suck for coverage. Bar style is so much better.
Apart from price, coverage is the biggest weakness of this style light.
I use 4 of the dual board heatsinks for a total of 8 quantum boards in a tent. Spread is amazing!
@Medical MJ But your opinion is severely biased since you bought the lights you are just reinforcing your own decision as being "right". Quantum board style lights are not crap but they do not have the same spread or even coverage that strip lights do. Just look at the PAR maps.
@@LarsLarsen77 Sorry, but the QB style lights (not counting the new 650 because it's bigger), only have a legit spread of 3'x3', then they fall way off. Boy's own PAR maps show that. Strip lights have better spread due to the design. Again, the PAR maps show that too.
@Medical MJ I respect your opinion, but looking at the PAR map on the HLG 260, your outer edges fall off into the 500 to 550 range with those as well, but it is a much closer comparison than the 550's. It's just the nature of having all the diodes close to the center: lots of penetration but less coverage. Strip lights are almost even across the entire coverage area, but not as much penetration. Pros and cons to each... And it just depends on your style and space which one is better. Cheers.
Just had the 2 lights I ordered FINALLY arrived from HLG and BOTH heatsinks were scratched all to hell. They require a signature on delivery so now I am going to have to wait around all day AGAIN. What a bunch of crap. Trying to pass off used items as new...SHAME ON HLG!
I'm using 14 watt bulbs 2700k and 6500k . Spectrum matters
thats marketing wank more than like scientific fact
*Chilled growcraft x6 VS HLG 650R*
Do these fix the BLEACH burn that I've had on all my 288 rspecs in my 6 foot tent? lol... Don't get me wrong these light's are great but watch youre hanging RANGE PLAYA'S
Hi! With this kind of light a scrog is the best way to go and to save weeks of vegg! The lazy method where you vegg for ages and do multiple topping is a nonsense...waiting 3 months before flipping into flowering in a big no no...try a scrog...I guess since it is a 6 foot tent it should be a 3x3 or less I will go with 4 clones in each corner add a piece of fence (the one for chickens) and start asap to use the fence by going up and down plus pinch between every node to have every new branches grow in the same direction so on the side (visualize an human chest with the spine who will be the main stem and ribs branches) with this technique every branches will grow on the sides so no need to topp just pinching training bindin...16 weeks from seeds to harvest depend on strains it could be 2 weeks more or less! And plants remain short but you can achieve around 2 grams per watt (when I started to grow back in 1998 one gram per watt was an urban legend
Have a lifted one and lots of good vibes from France growers family
sdgenetics1904 Something else you could do is main line your plants. UA-cam " Rows of Green " has some good how to videos It helps keep them short. I run 2 HLG 600 h and fight height issues as well. Done right you can still do a 6 week veg. ( not counting 2 week clone time ) Just a suggestion to think about
@@KeesHoneyBees Rows of green??? It is mainlining you talk about...I tried it...takes more time then a scrog! Depend on the number of plants you use too! With this kind of light you need to have an even canopy as fast as you can then flip it...
logan leborgne Rows of Green is the guys channel on UA-cam. He explains mainlining technique very well. I've used scrog a lot too. But mainlining doesn't add that much time I flip when they're short, like 18 to 20 inches, but they give you some bad ass dense colas, and my weights are about the same. The more I do this technique the more I'm liking it.
logan leborgne Mainlining, I like how much control it give you on their height, I also like it at trim time when I mostly just have big old buds to trim and spend less time on so many little buds. I'm not doggin scrog, nothing wrong with it, but I have limited height like sdgenetics 1904.
Wait till the "spectrum snob" QBs roll in. Oh yeah. Shut up and take all of my money.
lol
This does not replace a 1200 de. Or a 1000 se. the 550 v2 r spec is not
A 1:1 1000w hps replacement. And we all know this.
x d The 550 is a complete light, you probably are thinking of the HLG 600 h that's a kit. The 600 gives off slightly more par. 550 has a 3 year warranty, 600 a one year.
For that price bar style lights all day growmies slim 600h seems to be really well built HLG in my opinion is always over priced
man, have you count the number of diode in this light, the covering is verrrrryyy goood, even comparate to led grow light bar. im nicely suprise! :D
How much are they
Schmelly G why do you think that COB lights are better? I’m about to make the transition from HID to LED and am looking for every bit of input out there to make the best decision
and under-thought. The huge dead spot in the middle could have 2-3 bars. Geniuses at work NOT
Schmelly G well damn. That pretty much sums it up. Thanks for the knowledge drop!!
HLG vs chilLed who wins?
Green gold I agree I wanna know.
@@jperks6943 I agree with both you and Green gold. I almost pulled the trigger on one of these new 650r today till i seen it would cost me $1700 canadian. I can have a chilLed dyi x6 for 1200 canadian! I would love to see someone do a shootout or comparison between these 2 lights.
Chilled all the way! Everything is manufactured in the USA, great company. HLG is way overpriced and quantum boards suck compared to bar leds. All these quantum boards get pretty hot compared to bar style leds and the quantum boards always start to bow in the middle from the weight.
@@optics4062 HLG has manufacturing in Tennessee and they also make bars. Duh.
@@optics4062 if you're referring to the 648+being made by Samsung, that's probably just until they get the tooling moved over to the HLG production line here in the US. It's the only board they sell not made here, but that's going to change I'm sure. It's an American company that employs Americans.
That light belongs in a 5*5 Mang!
