It would be interesting to see the PAR and wattage draw readings at 6" with the fixture turned down to 50% . Or, how low can you hang it and dim it down and still get around 800 - 900 PAR. Also the strip lighting besides offering very even coverage, allows for easy supplementation of additional spectra. Neat.

@@joopajoo4152 👍 I'll have to compare the specifications for PPFD! (I STARTED RAMBLING ON, LOL, SO YOU MAY WANT TO SKIP THE REST!). Strange that a plant wouldn't get some light damage when reaching the top of the Quantum Board. Really stretched up quickly, as well? 2 Quantum Boards, 1-120W(Fissioning Wave Series-3K(288-Samsung LM301B Chips), 1-65W(HLG-65-4K, also Samsung LM301B Chips) in a 32"X32" Tent, the 120W should be fine (3'x3' veg, 2'x2' flower). Yet 100W of Citizen's last generation-(1414-046?) chips, 2-50W-COB's 3500K, 90° lens would show light stress/damage if too close, and much less stretch of the plants, w/an even, plush, plant canopy. I think the intensity is much more spread out (180°) with Quantum Boards, yet it should be VERY bright within an 1/8" from board? Lex Blazer has a short video speaking of this difference! I'll watch that again, see if I missed something! Thought maybe someone else has noticed/had this effect. I do think efficiency is so well right now, with LED's especially, that 2.1 umols/J compared to 2.4 umols/J is splitting pennies for most of us. Intensity, even light canopy, and spectrum is most important for TOP results! Even 1000W DE-HPS fixtures used in a larger area (giving even canopies, less shading, very high light intensity in Lumens, CRI of 22(lol), spectrum almost all yellow and reds, some blue, green.. Still widely used in warehouse size grows, where return on investment should be very fast if switched out for LED's, I'd think? For a tent/area under 8'x8', LED's can give an even light canopy, no shading throughout the area, great spectrum, less energy! Very high light intensity is most important for quality, density of flowers, better nutrient uptake (w/less nutes), I noticed a Big difference after using more intensity than what was recommend as "just fine!". Supercharged now, but not too much. Like the sun! SORRY FOR RAMBLING, OFF TOPIC, ETC. CONGRATS IF YOU MADE IT THIS FAR! GREAT GROWS TO ALL!
Including postage to the UK it's just under $1200.. or £910 ! And it seems comparable to the new Gavita 1700e which is abouit £1500 plus postage! Can this really be true?!

I think you don't understand the difference between ppf and PPFD. PPFD is the average ppf over a square metre. Ppf is the amount of photons at one given point.
In summary... PPF tells us how many photons of light are emitted by a light source each second. PPFD tells us how densely the fixture distributes the light photons on a one meter square target (i.e. your plants and algae) in one second. This is from your website
In Canada, it doesn't have to be Discretely shipped. It can say on it "Intended for growing Cannabis" man I love that. Ok America, make it legit. Do something about this.
When my timer turns this light off I can tell one of the bars still giving off light. It's barely noticeable but I did have a GG4 hermie on me recently. Not sure if the light is to blame or my components (Dehu, humidifier, etc...) Did you notice this? I also need to test if it's my timer allowing this to happen. Someone else on my channel complained about this problem with the ROI-E680 before i noticed it for myself.
Just purchased one of these. What recommendations can you pass on for intensity during Veg (60%?) vs Flower (80%?) I was advised not to run at 100% what are you suggestions in regard to that? I didn't purchase the controller but it looks like that will be next.
@@xXTheRealTorontoXx I spoke with a sales rep at Growers House in Tucson. I will start with 60% during veg and 80% to 100% during flower. The variance during flower will be determined by the stretch and my height restrictions. I was only trying to get an idea of a baseline to start with. I am sure that the question will answer itself after a couple of cycles and they changes can be made if necessary
I have the same light and I used your recommendations. Showed flowing at 20 days. What do you mean by Early Veg and Late veg? And same for early and late flower. First time grower.
So far mine is working great. I’m at 5 weeks and got the light at 100% around 24 inches away, and it’s growing fast and thickening up. What I failed at for my first grow was properly recognizing each stage, which each stage has it own light intensity and distance. (Early / late veg and for flower also). Lots of moving the light up and down. I have a 5x5 so I can squeeze though. Does get hot, so the exhaust fan will be maxed out, sucking that hot Air and humidity that I need out. (For me at least) this is the only light I ever worked with so I’m sure other lights that are much hotter. My first grow been full of anxiety, it is not as fun as I thought it would be, but once my first grow is under my belt and I’m back to smoking again it will be all good. My second grow will be better and bigger.
I’m 5 weeks in and still frying my brain. My 4 plants are not going to finish at the same time. So I need a dry tent, and another exhaust. Hopefully I don’t ruin everything when drying.
is the site you linked for us that sell this light legit? the price is pretty cheap and shipping is free compared to other sites. just want to make sure.
@@dillonk5573 I'm definitely looking at them on Alibaba, have been for like a month.. but its freakin confusing bruv, so many options.. so many sellers! Damn!! ...but I probably should try doing it when I'm not stoned.. 😁😁
What’s the main difference between the Quantum boards and the Bar style leds? I can’t decide on which one and there’s no info between the two anywhere.
Run it through the top side exhaust port. Hang the carbon filter at top of tent and light under that. Will help some with cooling the light as the air will be pushed up and over the light then the heat and air exhausted out through the carbon filter.
Marc McCinnes That’s what I mean. If you dim the light to prevent burn, then lower it to make room above for whatever filter/fan/ducts. It wouldn’t work for every tent though, especially if you only had a 5 foot tall one.
Have had mine for 2 1/2 months running fine and all of a sudden when powered off there still glowing very dimly anyone having the same problems or know what to do. Had them all daisy chained to the trol master unhooked everything and they still do it!!?
Ok so when I unsubscribe and stop watching any videos my answer of not "worth my time" will be satisfactory. The light is on their website for petes sake.
For the money it's a decent light. Good budget light for sure. I started with viparspectras when I switched from HIDs to LEDs about 6 years ago. The PAR600 is great light over the tc tho. I recently reconfigured my grow space and gave my lil brother 2 par700 dimmable versions and a par1200 dimmable version. The 2 par700s are 4 years old and still working like new. The 1200 is 2 years old and runs like new.
We don’t sell it separately. The adapter comes with the light. if you reach out to Grower’s Choice, they should send you one at no cost if you are missing the adapter.

These use osram components, osram recently bought fluence and now puts their best chips/technology in fluence lights, they are more money but are by far the best and newest tech
Maybe. I'd just like to see the lab results to back that up. Seems as though they would need to use a lot of diodes driven at a low power to achieve that number, which would not be cost effective for the company or the consumer.
Also, their spectrum has a 660nm wavelength so that means they are using a red diode. However, they say in their specs that they ONLY use Samsung LM301B. This is impossible, because you cant get a red boost with only that diode.
Thank you. I don't bloody understand why all the led videos the ppfd is measured at 6,12, and 18inches!! Put the damn light at the top of the tent. It hangs roughly about 8 inches down from the top. Your pot is roughly say 12 inches. So a foot and a half gone right there. Give us the ppfd of that remaining space i say.
@Joseph shipping would only cost additional 150usd. Its a good thing china is coming on the market, American brand needs to compete with price sooner or later
Most grow lights come from China actually. Almost everything from Sunlight Supply and Hydrofarm is made in China. The fact is China has developed tremendously over the years and has some of best well educated engineers that were educated in Europe and the US. The "China only makes cheap junk" passed over a decade ago. Now you get what you pay for, pay for quality materials and the Chinese make great products. Even Made in America products often use Chinese materials. Stay lifted sir!

Do you have the Spydr 2x? I'm considering that one or the HLG 600H. Maybe even the one in this video.
@@jimrafalko9622 yes I do, have a v1 also.
@@BeastM0nkey would you pay the $880 for it over $732 for the HLG 600H?
When my timer turns this light off I can tell one of the bars still giving off light. It's barely noticeable but I did have a GG4 hermie on me recently. Not sure if the light is to blame or my components (Dehu, humidifier, etc...) Did you notice this? I also need to test if it's my timer allowing this to happen. Someone else on my channel complained about this problem with the ROI-E680 before i noticed it for myself.
My hlg600 is doing this also. Not sure if I wired wrong. You ever figure it out?
J Jets I will have to call the manufacturer. Just had 2 plants hermie on me.
Is it an early model they had issues with that. Easy fix but is an issue.
Is the light good or just the marketing? 🤔
Seems like a great light a a solid review
Can you tell me the expected grams per watt on this light?
When will you review x660pro?
How much do you yield with this light tho
if u do everything right u yeild up to 2.5 grams per watt
Just purchased one of these. What recommendations can you pass on for intensity during Veg (60%?) vs Flower (80%?) I was advised not to run at 100% what are you suggestions in regard to that? I didn't purchase the controller but it looks like that will be next.
Why not run at 100%, curious because i just bought this.
That's awesome
What does the EXT mean on the switch?
It is for if you're using a light controller.
I have the same light and I used your recommendations.
Showed flowing at 20 days.
What do you mean by Early Veg and Late veg? And same for early and late flower.
First time grower.
Tacitus Kilgore just ordered mine for my 4x4 and
So far mine is working great.
Hopefully I don’t ruin everything when drying.
everything you’re getting for 1,000 pretty worth it
We’re can I get that par meter?
What are the par readings on ext mode?
is the site you linked for us that sell this light legit? the price is pretty cheap and shipping is free compared to other sites. just want to make sure.
Wow very nice light, wish it was a little cheaper lol
Yeah i think for 680 watts about $600 to $700 max not 1k, you could get a very similar light for 1k without even resorting to import in most countries
Alibaba has tons of these on there right now for less than $600
@@dillonk5573 I'm definitely looking at them on Alibaba, have been for like a month.. but its freakin confusing bruv, so many options.. so many sellers! Damn!! ...but I probably should try doing it when I'm not stoned.. 😁😁
What’s the main difference between the Quantum boards and the Bar style leds? I can’t decide on which one and there’s no info between the two anywhere.
Bar style will be better for cannabis
Nice light
I am not sure how to use the sunrise feature or how to set it, could someone please helppppppp...lol
IN UR HONEST OPINION, WOULD U CHOOSE THIS LIGHT OVER "ES 300 V2"??
@Soo KUSH'd Out He could be talking about CAD, dont be so quick jump the gun.
Philip J Fry ES300 V2 is 695$....

YEA I HAVE 2 OF THEM AS WELL
Can the controller run multiple of these lights at the same time? didn't go into detail about that in the video...
yes. I believe you can control hundreds at a time
Awesome LED light but I can't see spending $1,000 on it
hello everyone.
How many lights can be controlled from one controller ?
hundreds I believe
New Mars hydro ts review?
Stupid question but...for a light this size in a 4x4 tent..how do you put the exhaust ducting through the top of the tent?
you don't
@@michaelpena7120 so..i mean..you just don't exhaust at all?
Run it through the top side exhaust port. Hang the carbon filter at top of tent and light under that. Will help some with cooling the light as the air will be pushed up and over the light then the heat and air exhausted out through the carbon filter.
an you plese do a review on bestva 1000w or the bestva elite 1200w

Roi e680 vs the HLG 650r? In a 5x5 / 4x8 using half the space.
HLG 650r gonna win. Hlg 5x5 flower foot print. The PAR is stronger than the roi ... This light flowers a 4x4 an hlg uses better chips
12 inches hlg double almost in par
id say the 650r but the HLG is more$ what diodes are in these ? Samsung or what ? i didnt catch it
How do you switch it from veg to flower???
you don't. you can veg with these lights. dim the LEDs or adjust height.
For a 5 by 9 should I get 2 of these or the new hlg 550 v2 r
2 of either one what do u think?
Either light you would need 2 for that space
That thing takes up a huge footprint. I wouldn't have room for a vent fan at the top.
Aaron Thrower Sure you would. Drop the light down a bit then dim it to suit its height. Unless you have tall plants in a short tent?
@@tombryant4518 He's referring to width. How would ducting fit?
Marc McCinnes That’s what I mean. If you dim the light to prevent burn, then lower it to make room above for whatever filter/fan/ducts. It wouldn’t work for every tent though, especially if you only had a 5 foot tall one.
Just bought 1 but forgot to use the promo code !!!!!
So did I. 3rd light I've gotten from these guys.
About 99% sure these are rebadged Sunritek led's from China, they make for several other company's also.
Have had mine for 2 1/2 months running fine and all of a sudden when powered off there still glowing very dimly anyone having the same problems or know what to do. Had them all daisy chained to the trol master unhooked everything and they still do it!!?
This sounds like a warranty issue. Please reach out to who you purchased these from and they will take care of it.
I knows its been over a year but did you ever fix this issue?
I know osram now owns fluence and they are pricey but how are these compared to fluence spydr2i?....as i run all fluence
Can you do a Viparspectra TC600 review?
its not worth his time.
Ok so when I unsubscribe and stop watching any videos my answer of not "worth my time" will be satisfactory. The light is on their website for petes sake.
@@bloodmaske8324 ok
For the money it's a decent light. Good budget light for sure. I started with viparspectras when I switched from HIDs to LEDs about 6 years ago. The PAR600 is great light over the tc tho. I recently reconfigured my grow space and gave my lil brother 2 par700 dimmable versions and a par1200 dimmable version. The 2 par700s are 4 years old and still working like new. The 1200 is 2 years old and runs like new.
do you sell the 120v to 240v adapter?
We don’t sell it separately. The adapter comes with the light. if you reach out to Grower’s Choice, they should send you one at no cost if you are missing the adapter.
Will do. Thank you

Fluence spydr 2i....
These use osram components, osram recently bought fluence and now puts their best chips/technology in fluence lights, they are more money but are by far the best and newest tech
Led grow lights depot. What do you think of sunplix led they are claiming 2.9 umols per joule on their new bar light.
Yeah I'm very skeptical of that number from a company I've never heard of before.
@@greengold6705 running them side by side now looking at it them gc is brighter the sp has more diodes
how bout the ppfd at 5 feet, who grows 1 or 2 foot plants?
Because that's usually the growing distance from the plant canopy to the light.
Are you fucking stupid? Think about it jackass

I have this light with another name.. all these lights coming from China
What is it bro an how much
Most grow lights come from China actually.
Hey king, how are the lights doing? I've been looking on Alibaba and wow theres a lot of choice from different sellers. Anyways, I'd appreciate it if you let us know how the lights are. Cheers. 👊
@Poon Slaayer ..yo, I appreciate the reply. Anyways, I already ordered and got a light from Alibaba. I bought it from Nalite and its a 640w fluence clone 8 bar light with dimmer. So far its working great and the girls seem to love it. It cost me $424 + $85 shipping.
@Poon Slaayer ..will do bruv. And hey poon, if you are planning on buying a light offa Alibaba, wait till November. They have this crazy ass sale where everything is on a massive discount.
