    Ahh, Groose...
I fully expected to hate him-he had those Gaston Vibes, no?-but between Zelda scolding him (and succeeding) and his character arc? Yeah, he completely won me over and possibly has one of the best arcs in the series, really only rivaled by Midna and BotW Zelda. It’s nice to see people change and improve, and okay so he’s not the “Hero”, but he can still defy fate by being heroic and do so by being Clever.
(...and he kinda had a point about Link that Zelda basically agreed with-Link was kinda a lazy freeloader with “is it the bird or rider?” and a complete teacher’s pet. Still, messing with your crush’s best friend and bullying other students? Yeah that’s not how it works.)

The soundtrack is amazing, I just wished it played a bit more. Traveling the wilds can go silent for about 15 minutes with at most a string of 6 notes or so breaking the silence. @@Omugaru I loved the way going from the wild into the stables and the various villages seamlessly changed the music. I think a bombastic theme like OOTs Hyrule field would take away from the experience. I do agree that some parts could be less minimalistic, however. At times I thought I didn't even notice the soundtrack, until I heard it in videos and it made me smile. Also, Kakariko Village is highly underrated.

Same. I ride my horse a lot as I stopped fast traveling, and the main Zelda theme plays a lot when you're on horse back, and I think many people forget that as they probably glide around a lot more.
However, I'm not keen on the battle music, nor am I keen on the dungeon music. The dungeons, like their appearance and boss appearances, are mainly the same theme, just altered to match the area you're in. I'd prefer much more differently syled music for each dungeon. Another fun detail about Groose's room: if you pay attention, you can notice his and Cawlin and Stritche's are technically one room, separated by this wooden structures that serves as a wall between them (the game hints to this by making it possible to hear whatever is going on in Groose's room from Cawlin and Stritche's, or vice-versa). Notice how Cawlin and Stritche's room, despite being a shared room, is tiny and cramped, and how massive Groose's room is compared to everyone else's in the academy. One can easily deduce that Groose bullied his lackeys into agreeing to move the movable wall and give him the most room. Maybe he's even responsible for them being roommates, as the space of both rooms could have been divided into three.

I think the pared down music in BotW is absolutely critical to making the story and setting what it is! It really rounds out that post apocalyptic setting we’re in 100 years after calamity ganon ravages hyrule. I think the composers have done a really clever job of incorporating elements of previous themes in subtle ways and giving more full bodied scores in the more populated areas and battle themes. Also love the hilarious catch with the bar tab, just the motivation I need to boot up my copy of the game again 😂

The doc also probably most likely buys pure alcohol from Telma for disinfectant. Though for how relatively peaceful Hyrule castle town is he probably most likely drinks more beer then what he gets for medicine.

About BotW's music: I love the music, but I'm always unnerved by Vah Ruta's theme. All the other Divine Beasts go from depressed to hopeful, but Vah Ruta just goes from depressed to downright eerie and I don't know why. Vah Ruta is so...morbid.

I like to think that Dr. Borville set up a tab at the bar that hands out free beer to all the patrons every day. He is such a nice old man, right? Think again! Borville is banking on the fact that inebriated people could potentially get themselves, or someone else for that matter, injured through drunk horse riding, bar fights, alcohol poisoning, falling down some steps because of impaired balance etc. Where would all these injured people go? To Borville's medical clinic of course! According to the World Health Organization: "10-18% of injured patients attending emergency departments are alcohol-related cases". So, rather than being the most powerful character in Twilight Princess, Borville could be the most sinister.

My personal Zelda theory is that all the music and sound effects are diegetic. This is why you have NPCs occasionally imitating sound effects, the Indigo-gos playing historic music, similar locations across games playing similar music, etc. In Breath of the Wild, the fallen state of the kingdom means that it has lost its magic, and thus the music has mostly stopped with only a few random hints and callbacks to historic music except in a handful of especially big scenes.

BUT WAIT, Hylians are more or less proven to age slower than normal humans, therefore an old and wrinkled fart like the doctor would not be only 80 but closer to 180! Of course that does little to mess with the Doctor's intake but still.

Speaking about musical Easter eggs in BOTW:
    > The Death Mountain Theme contains the main melody of the original game's Ganon's Dungeon theme. Because Ganon's Dungeon in the original game was on Death Mountain.
    > The theme that plays while a Divine Beast is getting into position and taking aim, 'The Grand Divine Beast', begins it's main melody with a subtle, low version of Oath to Order. Referring to this being the SECOND time a Link has recruited huge, powerful beings to help him, perhaps?
    > In the Hyrule Castle interior theme, Zelda's Lullaby plays, but more subtly, it's backed by a sharp beeping alarm noise: the Low On Hearts beep from ALTTP. Why? Because she's losing the fight. She's low on hearts!
