I once worked for a cable company in Mass and did cable for Trevor. It was just his wife that was home but we somehow got on the topic of music and she told me who she was married to. I came back to give him my bands demo and he was super chill and we chatted for a bit. Much love for Unearth.
As did Rage Against The Machine years before them and many before even thousands of years ago. As many will continue to do. Because unfortunately we don't learn from the past and thus it repeats

One of my favorite bands of all time. Saw them at The Rave here in Milwaukee for the first time in 2004 with Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, and God Forbid with the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Tour. Saw them again in 2006 with Emmure, Born of Osiris, and Ateryu headlining. They will forever be my favorite along with the OG Metalcore bands. Unearth and KSE always. * Damn, how did I forget that Killswitch Engage also played on the Headbangers Ball Tour with these guys. It was awesome seeing Howard Jones for the very first time in 04'. Jesse Leach will forever be GOATED tho.
Teenagers growing up in 2004-2008. We had the best time and the most variety of heavy music ever in the history of mankind. We are the last of the true thrashers and moshers, believers of truth, justice, brotherhood. Keepers of the last great generation of music. Back when all the heavy bands had unique sounds. Back when you can go see Unearth headlining with Norma Jean and From Autumn to ashes alongside bands like Every Time I Die and Poison the Well and throw in some Fear Before the March of Flames. With just a tad of some It dies Today and some Killswitch Engage and some Winter Solstice and some don't forget Horse the Band and The Fall of Troy hey hey hey and last but not least some Between the Buried and Me for good measure and Black Dahlia Murder. Now days it just feel like people don't care about entrancing hooks or melodies which is quite sad. But to honor that golden era let us all never forget. Almost forgot thrice and don't ever ever forget that Underoath was an awesome death metal band way before the emo days amen and bless the shining memories of such a grand time to be alive. One last thing again again Atreyu and Avenged Sevenfold used to be awesome lol bat country ruined them for me lol. Love to all. Never forget to remember the fallen.
No hate here, but if you think 2000's is awsome, You need to see how it was in 80's and 90's when most of the everything start. because right now laterally everything sucks hard.
+CamShot videos metalcore early days was Hatebreed, Merauder , FullBlownChaos, All Out War ect . this is hardcore influence Metal , and its mainly because the breakdowns , nothing more ......
Most underrated metal band in existence. This album was THE metalcore masterpiece amongst many metalcore masterpieces of the era. I get goosebumps to this day when I listen to this album.
i wish unearth could always stay this good. good memories trashing the shit out of the barracks. threw a goddamn bed off the 3rd balcony just for the hell of it.
Ah, military. Ever considered that what you are serving, now, isn't worth fighting for? Rampant homelessness, INCLUDING rambing Vet homelessness.... not because there is a scarcity of material - of housing - but because we keep rewarding greed and excess and exploitation Ever considered that the enemy - "and domestic" - isn't a government at all but the wealthy puppeteers, and that real _people_ , people without power or influence, could use all the *help* they can get? They - we - need someone to defend us
I saw zombie autopilot on some dvd 2005 (with black dahlia murders funeral thirst) and this song got me. this band got me. i needed so long to find the album in the stores! mike justian is such an underrated drummer! this guy is so tight. and he obiously has no mimic
This was my first metal show, 20 years ago. They headlined and had Black Dahlia Murder, Terror, and Remembering Never for support. One of my favorite albums to this day.
Yeah, what's with the view count!? Loads of Metalcore enthusiasts are missing out if they're not familiar with this.. one of the first of the genre as we know it today that I heard.
QUE AUGUST BURN REDS NI QUE MIS WEBBOS!! ESTO ES METALCORE BIEN HECHO, SON BREAKDOWNS INTELIGENTES NO A LO PURO PENDEJO..SOY DE MEXICO Y DESDE NIÑO CONOCI ESTA BANDA GRACIAS A MI HERMANO =) CUANDO EL METAL ESTABA EN SU LUGAR!!
I have been going to hardcore shows for a long time back when the only way you knew of a show was a flyer, and to this day this breakdown is one of the best I have ever heard hands down. By the way who elses misses the old old killswitch engage? back when you know.........they were authentic and hardcore compared to today where they are not hardcore or authentic. I mean they probably would have sold out even if jesse stayed as lead singer, but at least it would have been with jesse not howard.
if every song or most of their song doesn't have a breakdown i will consider this as a NU Metal for the way the vocalist rap on every songs they had. But it's riffs are fucking good for me.
Them: “What was your look/style in high school?” Me: “Trevor Phipps in the Great Dividers music video. I mean, I even wore a damn black sweatband on my forearm.”
Jacob Van Pamelen Last time I was in an Unearth pit you couldn't even get through it and the kids fighting the air like that ended up getting their asses kicked
wtf unearth is not Death metal at all!!! rofl,,, Arch Enemy, DEATH, Carcass are... this is more... yeah deathcore... metalcore.. hardcore.. something that finish with core
This album is still amazing. Metalcore at its finest. A lot of those bands sound terrible now, but this album made the cut.
Yes. Still now.
They were way ahead of their time.. Still my favorite album by them
They blended perfectly the sound of metal & hardcore
Pure Metalcore... 2022 and still headbanging to this masterpiece.
Approaching 2025. Still a Banger 🔥🤘🏽☠️
This was the first Unearth song I ever heard and fell madly in love with metal…thank you guys
highly underrated band. I saw them with Slipknot and As I lay dying about 8 years ago and I said the same thing then
I agree. They deserves more attention
Kings of breakdown for me. Saw them with AILD and In flames in 2004. Best show i've ever seen...
Are you implying that Cardi B's WAP isn't what you were hoping for in life!?
I have still recordered music videos on VHS from all of them 🤘💪❤

One of the greatest in metal history. Also one of the best times in metalcore history
One of the best albums of all time
Damn these guys predicted 2020, the lyrics really hit home...
As did Rage Against The Machine years before them and many before even thousands of years ago. As many will continue to do. Because unfortunately we don't learn from the past and thus it repeats

saw them back in 04 at ozz fest in San Antonio. badass show. met the whole band.
William Mayton saw them in 06 in san diego at sounds of the underground. by far the best set.
One of my favorite bands of all time. Saw them at The Rave here in Milwaukee for the first time in 2004 with Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, and God Forbid with the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Tour. song that got me onto them , Ozzfest 2004
+Bianca ReCasino Buenos tiempos
Marry me? Then break my heart because you’re too beautiful
This is, literally, the ONLY metalcore band i can listen to. Probably because they're so close to thrash and the vocals don't absolutely suck
i wish unearth could always stay this good. good memories trashing the shit out of the barracks. threw a goddamn bed off the 3rd balcony just for the hell of it.
Pete Lehner they still are this good?
What kind of show was that. How did you through a bed off a balcony ? 😁

This album was a good piece of metal. It's a shame that a lot of these bands are so boring now
+Cesar Diaz Add killswitch engage to the list aswell.
Brings me back to my teenage years
This was my first metal show, 20 years ago. They headlined and had Black Dahlia Murder, Terror, and Remembering Never for support. One of my favorite albums to this day.

Me: “Trevor Phipps in the Great Dividers music video. I mean, I even wore a damn black sweatband on my forearm.”
I remember dropping my jaw to this part, hearing this song for the first time 1:30
Solid metallic hardcore/melodic metalcore

This song absolutely rips but holy shit this is a weird music video. A singular cop stopping people from... moshing??
These guys are mosh pitting all wrong... why are they so far apart and fighting the air?
.....
