I'm 34 now and was in the early 20's when this song blasted. I still have a scar from the moshpits back then and I wouldn't change anything whatsoever!
I was front row with these guys in the early 2000's.. We only made it about 2 songs in.. I had to take my buddy to the ER after he got his forehead smashed into the stage monitor. The show was at a pizza place if I remember... TERROR opened up for them. I made sure he got a Scooby Doo Band-Aid over his stitches.
+Falcon DeRichio metalcore was Hatebreed, Merauder , FullBlownChaos, All Out War ect . this is hardcore influence Metal , and its mainly because the breakdowns , nothing more ...
Long drives. Mosh pits. Exhausted nights. Nothing but good times and good music back then. Nothing will compare to that era for us who witnessed it. Just raw music. o7
Pushing 40 these days, but I remember the late 90s and early 2000s throwing down it felt like every weekend or month to Unearth, God Forbid, Shadows Fall, AILD, Dillinger, ETID, Misery Signals, etc....easily would have 500+ kids show up to any show. Miss those days something fierce! Unearth has and will probably always remain my favorite metalcore band.
Those were def the days man. Things have changed so much. Unearth is also my most favorite band of that genre. I've seen them so many times I can't count
Holy shit you listen to Unearth too? Saw them live back around 2007? Awesome. Same with As I lay Dying, It Dies Today, Norma Jean, and others. It was the BEST music venue ever. Damn I miss those days
Growing up, my brother was way into the hXc scene. One night in 2003, he took to see this band at the Corona Showcase Theatre in SoCal. Been hooked ever since!
Bought 2 tickets in the mid 2000s to see them in Houston. Buddy bailed, backup bailed. Went solo, gave the second ticket away at the gate. Got drunk and moshed my balls off. A great memory, simpler times
UNEARTH WILL FOREVER RULE 🤘🖤 My most fav band of that NE scene. Been down since WAY back in their beginnings. Thank u for all the great music and memories

I broke my neck at the show at house of blues orlando August 11 2006. Seen them over 10 times in 3 different states. St.paul. mn , Tulsa ok, flint Michigan, oh shit i forgot about Florida. Lol
been a fan of theirs long before they joined metal blade and still love them :) not many bands these days give me the instant adrenaline that Unearth gives me.
Made me tear up! Incredible skill and energy! I remember this video from long ago, been trying to remember what it was. So awesome, guitars are legendary but the drummer gives me goosebumps with this song!!
Finally found this song again after someone mentioned this band to me at a recent party. So many memories came rushing back of hardcore days long gone. 34 and still rocking this shit 🤘
At a show in Orlando as part of their tour for this album, I saw the lead guitarist give someone in the crowd a beer bong from the stage in the middle of a breakdown
I was at this show, this is The Showcase in Corona, CA. RIP BABY. They played this song twice to get enough footage and let me tell you, we fucking tore it up both times. People were jumping off the merch balcony and shit.
@@IroquoisCage lol I got thrown out of the DT that night...during Endless...for jumping off the stage and kicking some guy in the head bc he was harassing a girl I was with (they let me back in 5 min later 😂) That whole album front to back is about as close to perfect as we're gonna get
so sick, this footage is from the downtown in famingdale on Long Island. @2:13 the kid walking behind the singer pumping his fist used to be my drummer tommy ahah
Remember seeing them on tour with Atreyu and Norma Jean Actually looked them up because i was like, Nooooooo!!! Founding is an Oathkeeper but that was "Iced Earth" lol
Saw em back in 05 sounds of the underground tour in san diego California when I was stationed at Miramar. I was in-between tours of Iraq. I took pics in the pit with a polaroid camera. I have em tucked away 😂
@lucaslovespie Yeah... I mean.. I think it brings a visual aspect thats enjoyable at some point in the song where it gets tighter and heavier like the breakdowns or such... but you're right. I hate always have to watch my back for tornados of arms...
if you listen to the lyrics of the song... it explains exactly what you are living through now.. also zombie auto pilot..... Very specifically strange if you ask me..... Take a good listen and realize.
Damn you can really hear the difference of sound between producers. listen to something off of "III: In the Eyes of Fire" (produced by terry date (pantera)). Theres a HUGE sound difference
I come to this video and all I see are arguments about slam dancers moshing and hardcore dancing or something. Can we just say that only the true metal heads mosh and headbang. Thank you.
@xpiecemealx i buy cds i listen to them in my car or at home slipknot morbid angel unearth etc and it s not a fuckin lifestyle it s just great music to listen to. it s so cliché to say that like it was your own blood^^
I'm 34 now and was in the early 20's when this song blasted. I still have a scar from the moshpits back then and I wouldn't change anything whatsoever!
Same!
Im 35 and still have my scar too...i fly over 2500 miles to watch them live in US....
30 year old checking in. the 2000s slayed
I'm 36 and still show out!!! Don't be soft
Unearth is the absolute purest of metalcore.
+Falcon DeRichio metalcore was Hatebreed, Merauder , FullBlownChaos, All Out War ect . this is hardcore influence Metal , and its mainly because the breakdowns , nothing more ...
+Александър Коларов dude hatebreed is hardcore. this is metalcore. you said it yourself, metal with hardcore influence AKA metalcore.
Yeah, bad brains is hardcore....
Not sure what you mean
The breakdowns and the uptempo circle pit verse parts are what make it metalcore.
Long drives. Mosh pits. Exhausted nights. Nothing but good times and good music back then. Nothing will compare to that era for us who witnessed it. Just raw music. o7

Would love to reclaim those days, brother 🤘
On that note, have you seen the metal core band that plays at Dennys video? It's sort of beautiful
This song will always be beast
Holy shit you listen to Unearth too? Saw them live back around 2007? Awesome. Same with As I lay Dying, It Dies Today, Norma Jean, and others. It was the BEST music venue ever. Damn I miss those days
Nice! You have great taste in music!
Growing up, my brother was way into the hXc scene. One night in 2003, he took to see this band at the Corona Showcase Theatre in SoCal. Been hooked ever since!
Showcase theatre in corona is a golden monument in the metal/hardcore scene in socal
Best song from the best metalcore band, period.
2004 - Black Hearts Now Reign
2015 - Black Hearts STILL Reign...
AndyNamel Agreed. Fucking sick song too.
+AndyNamel Listened to this song again and hallelujah for this comment....
AndyNamel 2017 and still valid
2018
@Crebs Park You better shut the fuck up.
saw these guys last night in Ocala, FL. What a great band. Up there with Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, Maiden in my eyes.
for the record, they cite maiden as a huge influence in their sound
Bought 2 tickets in the mid 2000s to see them in Houston. Buddy bailed, backup bailed. Went solo, gave the second ticket away at the gate. Got drunk and moshed my balls off. A great memory, simpler times
I was there. H-Town
this song still gives me chills
2021 found this band a while back but I was sleeping on them
UNEARTH WILL FOREVER RULE 🤘🖤
My most fav band of that NE scene. Been down since WAY back in their beginnings. Thank u for all the great music and memories

Got to see these gents back in Buffalo in 2006 at Darian Lake at the last Ozzfest in upstate NY. Solid show.
been a fan of theirs long before they joined metal blade and still love them :) not many bands these days give me the instant adrenaline that Unearth gives me.
I think people should listen to their music. This band is the best at composing cool riffs.
Every time I listen to an Unearth song I rediscover an awesome riff I had forgotten about. 2:17 on this one.
10 years ago, Bologna Italy. Probably the best live performance i've ever witnessed.
Still one of the greatest albums I've ever listened to... And the Kings of the breakdown
Ken's Changing Of Times era Underoath shirt is very 10/10.

energy

Made me tear up! Incredible skill and energy! I remember this video from long ago, been trying to remember what it was. So awesome, guitars are legendary but the drummer gives me goosebumps with this song!!

31 now - when I played highschool and college soccer this was one my bangers on my iPod. Still hits hard AF!
After all these years I can still hear how bands like Parkway Drive were inspired by this record.
last time I heard this song was the year 2008... and now its 2020 still a badass song \m/
Hands down my favorite album from any band of all time
Killer riffs, awesome backbeat, insane breakdown. No fuss, no "vibes", a real song. Man I miss this era of metalcore!
Finally found this song again after someone mentioned this band to me at a recent party.

I was at this show, this is The Showcase in Corona, CA. RIP BABY. They played this song twice to get enough footage and let me tell you, we fucking tore it up both times. People were jumping off the merch balcony and shit.
This absolutely was not wherever you said.
It was at The Downtown in farmingdale NY (it's literally on the sign behind the stage)
I was there.
@@altPastaTits I’m thinking of the video for Endless! Clearly got hit in the head too many time since then .
@@IroquoisCage lol I got thrown out of the DT that night...during Endless...for jumping off the stage and kicking some guy in the head bc he was harassing a girl I was with (they let me back in 5 min later 😂)
That whole album front to back is about as close to perfect as we're gonna get
Killer song 😎👊🏻🤘🏻🔥
The Oncoming Storm is literally about this foking time
I fucking love this song. Listening now though, the guitars are really fuzzy. Interesting choice in sound. Still bangs though
Seen them over 15 times in 4 different states. I have no clue why the never made it to Pantera status
I'm just here for the breakdown.
@Corey its up there. Right alongside some Acacia Strain breakdowns for me.

Still Jammin in 2020
@lucaslovespie Yeah... I mean.. I think it brings a visual aspect thats enjoyable at some point in the song where it gets tighter and heavier like the breakdowns or such... but you're right. I hate always have to watch my back for tornados of arms...

+Philbert PK I was at the one in south texas! my first concert ever! As I lay dying killed it too!

Was this filmed at the Downtown, L.I.?
Seen them 15 times in 3 different states! Awesome live! Im the fucked up one you partied with in flint at machine shop! Yes its me.
Easily top 3 live shows I've ever seen. Life was so much simpler back then..
When metalcore was great. People likes bands like Architects these days, They are so boring compared to this.
Architects sounds like a bunch of businessman making metal
Architects sounds like a bunch of businessman making metal
I mean they're both fantastic
i love Architects and a lot of Djent bands but Unearth metalcore is what i'd live for best of both worlds ..
i'd take Metalcore of any other genre any other day if i was to choose 1
Will never not be great.
Black Hearts Still Reign in 2020
if you listen to the lyrics of the song... it explains exactly what you are living through now.. also zombie auto pilot..... Very specifically strange if you ask me..... Take a good listen and realize.
I still like unearth just havent heard anything from them in a few years
Oh my god i love this part at 2:48 . It's time to fucking thrash ! circle pit ! 🤘😎🤘
13 fucking years of destroying everything in their path. Unearth isn't just a band, it's a lifestyle.

I come to this video and all I see are arguments about slam dancers moshing and hardcore dancing or something. Can we just say that only the true metal heads mosh and headbang. Thank you.
@xGUITARZEROx
THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT SIMPLY!
GET IN THE PIT!
Yeah this is definitely my favorite Unearth song....this proves my "Screw Ax Fx" theory
I'm still recovering from trying to protect a dude in a wheelchair near the pit at a Slayer/Unearth show. That was 2008 lol
@xpiecemealx i buy cds i listen to them in my car or at home slipknot morbid angel unearth etc and it s not a fuckin lifestyle it s just great music to listen to. it s so cliché to say that like it was your own blood^^
i think 90% of the people who actually like this band would agree that the breakdown starting at 2:04 is SEX!!!
i probably could not count the number of times i have seen one or more people being escorted out of an unearth show on a stretcher
🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥😇
Now this is Heavy Fucken Metal! Timeless classic.
Me too dude I kno
@ronniedude Yup, me too.
@lucaslovespie whats a slam dancer
