When I was driving home from my volunteer service I heard on the radio that Oli Herbert from All That Remains died recently I was shocked after hearing it. I feel utmost sorry for their loss. May the band take their time mourning for their member and friend. My thoughts and condolences goes to the band and Oli Herbert’s family. R.i.p man you will be missed Oli. 😔
This was the first metal album I learned how to play on guitar. Sat in my dads shop for like 2 weeks learning it when i was 14. If you're just learning, this is perfect for you. It's a good blend between the old style and the new style of metal. The picking is very dynamic & it actually sounds good. Most bands nowadays don't blend the screaming and singing very well but All that remains blended it together perfectly.

In 2007 I was a Top 40's and bubblegum pop kind of girl and I was introduced to this kind of music by my boyfriend who was a bassist in a metal band. I never realised what I had been missing all those years listening to the crap music on the radio! This Calling is what sealed the deal for me. That double bass is INSANITY. The bassist and I are no longer together but I thank him all the time for opening my eyes (and ears) to a whole new world of music.

So the drummer on the album was Shannon Lucas whom later went onto drumming for The Black Dahlia Murder one year later, the drummer in the video is not Lucas
