Thank you Hatebreed! I watched you open at History in Toronto for Anthrax and Black Label Society. My brother bought tickets and I didn't even know Hatebreed was going to be there! For years now I have been one of the quit guys in the back but at one point I roared at something the lead singer said and my brother asked me " Do you know what he just said?" I shrugged and he said "He asked if any old school metal heads are coming out of mosh pit retirement tonight?" I laughed, handed him me phone, wallet, keys and bag of joints. I took my life back today, after no job and no routine from the quarantine started to get to me. I decided to go out for a walk and put Hatebreed's Perseverance album on my phone to listen to, then something happened and I took a pretty nasty fall and skinned my knee. It hurt pretty bad but it brought me back to the here and now, but what really got me was right as I got myself back up, the opening lyrics to this song played, and I felt like it was a message telling me to get my life back in gear.

I remember it being Oct 2020, getting ready for an experimental surgery that was my last hope to stop a degenerative bone disease I was diagnosed with 7 months prior. I had 3 failed surgeries prior to it and it became more bleak every passing day. I remember being in a dark spot, crying as something out of my control took over. My brother texted me “wipe those tears from your eyes, through the worst we prevail” right before I entered the operating room. It’s been nearly two years since that day, and it’s a saying I will always remember. 4 surgeries, and almost 2 years of rehab later, I prevailed

I watched you open at History in Toronto for Anthrax and Black Label Society. My brother bought tickets and I didn't even know Hatebreed was going to be there!
For years now I have been one of the quit guys in the back but at one point I roared at something the lead singer said and my brother asked me " Do you know what he just said?" I shrugged and he said "He asked if any old school metal heads are coming out of mosh pit retirement tonight?" I laughed, handed him me phone, wallet, keys and bag of joints. Then my 46 year old ass became a pit fiend again.
I remain out of mosh pit retirement till I'm too fuckin old to move! Love and thanks from the North.
No matter how bad I've fucked up in life, Hatebreed always inspired me to become a better person. Truly an inspirational band.

I took my life back today, after no job and no routine from the quarantine started to get to me. I decided to go out for a walk and put Hatebreed's Perseverance album on my phone to listen to, then something happened and I took a pretty nasty fall and skinned my knee.
It hurt pretty bad but it brought me back to the here and now, but what really got me was right as I got myself back up, the opening lyrics to this song played, and I felt like it was a message telling me to get my life back in gear.
My dad showed me this song when I was 6 he then reminded me of it yesterday I am 29 now and sang ever lyric instantly this song is everything thanks dad and thank you hatebreed

I've been a Hatebreed fan since the very early days and with the way the world is today I find myself listening to them just as much as I did back then. Sometimes it's hard to not drink the dullness away and that's when I turn to music that motivates me to keep going.

He was smiling when he hunged himself and I can imagine why 😊 he really loved this band and i'd like to think that he was listening to this masterpiece when he went bye-bye! I remember it being Oct 2020, getting ready for an experimental surgery that was my last hope to stop a degenerative bone disease I was diagnosed with 7 months prior. I had 3 failed surgeries prior to it and it became more bleak every passing day. I remember being in a dark spot, crying as something out of my control took over. My brother texted me “wipe those tears from your eyes, through the worst we prevail” right before I entered the operating room. It’s been nearly two years since that day, and it’s a saying I will always remember. 4 surgeries, and almost 2 years of rehab later, I prevailed
They used to always spin this song at metal venues in between bands back in its day. Sometimes it was a better jam than who was coming up next!
