52 year old Metal head here. My generation (X) has lived through every era of metal. The drumming throughout this album "III: In the Eyes of Fire" is an artistic masterpiece of the Heavy Metal music genre. This album is maturing like a fine wine throughout the years and I believe will be considered one the greatest ever.
This was a gem of an album when it came out in 2006. Bought it on my way to Disneyland to meet my future girlfriend. Who would become my future ex. Bittersweet memories, but not enough to keep me from listening to it.
Love these guys, so thrashy and groovy, hailing the old guard of real metal and then laced with that Boston Beatdown/Hardcore flair! You can see two steppers in the middle of the circle pit, pure awesomeness
I know for the longest time the entire world called these dudes Metalcore, but as far as I've ever heard out of these dudes, this is at worst Crossover Thrash, if not just straight up Thrash Metal. Fucking love these dudes. Wish they'd come back.

The fact you have a hard time believing people dance at unearth shows is really a testament to how far this bands reach has gotten. They played the original hellfest in america before some dumb shit happened and it got cancelled

@Vengeance759 Yes dude. He did that live at the show in Memphis, SO SICK. Drank a beer bong while playing, too lol. Walked off stage during the solo over to the merch stands and stuff haha.
omg!! unearth is amazing, just saw them last week with darkest hour, august burns red, and suicide silence. best show iv ever been too!! except for in flames. lol
MetalManiac1134 is right. It was at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest 2007. They shot the METAL BLADE 25TH ANNIVERSARY DVD the second day of the festival which featured Metal Blade artists only.
the thing i liked about it is that there was no singing/ soft-parts in it. that stuff isn't bad but it's a lot better when you don't have it at all. The Oncoming Storm still has the best breakdowns overall though, although this song and Giles i think have the best breakdowns ever
grew up with buz, skateboarding and school. his band before this kicked just as much ass. stoked on how good hes doing, still see him around here when hes home from touring.good to talk and see how things are going
@nictycaram ....uh, I'm not a fan of this type of music really but dude, I'm pretty sure they are quite happy with how the band has turned out since they are world famous and signed to a major label. And since 99.9999% don't make it that far.... it looks to me as though their dreams have come true. So I say more power to 'em. Even if it's no to my tastes.

By far one of the best Metal bands ever!
unearth is metalcore at its finest.
Love these guys, so thrashy and groovy, hailing the old guard of real metal and then laced with that Boston Beatdown/Hardcore flair! You can see two steppers in the middle of the circle pit, pure awesomeness
One of the best metal songs of all time.
brings back so many good memories
i saw this on HBB last saturday, it was the second or third video. Ken susi AND Buzz are my two favorite guitarists!!!!! I LOVE UNEARTH!!
Ken is a monster on the guitar 🤘🔥
I know for the longest time the entire world called these dudes Metalcore, but as far as I've ever heard out of these dudes, this is at worst Crossover Thrash, if not just straight up Thrash Metal. Fucking love these dudes. Wish they'd come back.
2:31 good riff, 2:21 good riff, 3:24 good build up
Unearth in Raleigh, NC @ The Lincoln Theater on 9/29 was great. Was packed !!! Killer time had by all.
Saw them on the oncoming storm tour twice and once on this album tour and they sounded awesome live. Solid band fa sho👌
Love everything about this track.
Still listening to this banger in 2022 🤘🤘
I'm a new fan of Unearth, and whatever you wanna call it, it's Metal. I like the direction this band's going in. Rock-On!
Unearth onee of the best metal band out thereee!! Passion Energy powerfull guitars all I need!!!!!!!!!
I saw them last month and it was one of the best shows i've ever seen.
Divine intoxication spills out the bores
A self diluting fix that craves all the more
Destructive seasoned vet, full glass of sting
A bittersweet triumph that weighs in each day
Obsession-my falsest friend
Moderation-a fantasy that I cant win
Devastation-a hardship loss
Demanding-the pain of wasted years
Lift me up,
Tear me down,
Will I last through this glorious nightmare
Collapse all that sacred, prey on the weak
Slow painful suicide that steals from each man
Hells fire soon returns to rape the well
Prolific doom machine that hears our words
I'm fighting the will to live,
With countless persuasions
I'm fighting the will to live,
The endless temptations,
Its lifeless grip,
That haunts us all
Pulling from every direction,
Its lifeless grip graps hold
Yearning is now my dissension,
Its lifeless grip graps hold
Lift me up,
Tear me down,
Will I last through this glorious nightmare
theyre like a lamb of god but more technical/ core.... LOVE IT!!! and is the crowd hardcore dancing?? unbelievable
The fact you have a hard time believing people dance at unearth shows is really a testament to how far this bands reach has gotten. They played the original hellfest in america before some dumb shit happened and it got cancelled

Head Bangers Ball....great memories! #90sbaby. Back when life was simple...
this band is amazing. Unearth are the undisputed kings of the breakdown.
saw this live in Taipei this week, TOTAL BADASSERY!
The band who invented metalcore is the most underrated ever.. how sad
metalcore as a genre predates this band by a decade

Clearly this dude never heard of bands by the name of crestfallen or as the sun sets....
Ikr? Saw them in concert 2 years ago, on a Wednesday. There were about 30 people there... Sad.
This is what metal is all about. Aggression, power and mayhem!!
this song is pure inspiration and hope and METAL
hell yeah, i waited to watch this on HBB last saturday.
love these guys cuz they have thier own sound and style AWSOMEEEEE
Love the way this album was mixed/produced. Sounds so fucking good
Yeah there are still great bands and singers ... and I hope they don't dissapear trough time.
Metal is the Law!! (kai hansen)
I love their sweeps!
I like the vocals, they're original. You know its Unearth when you hear them.
@Vengeance759 Yes dude. He did that live at the show in Memphis, SO SICK. Drank a beer bong while playing, too lol. Walked off stage during the solo over to the merch stands and stuff haha.
Kickass song, I noticed the guitarist swung his guitar around his neck like 4 times. Amazing Band/Song.
saw unearth and norma jean and my face literally melted off twice! i know thats a physical impossibility but it happened.
totally agree. entire cds full of awesome
Dimebag is the first person I saw do that, shit, almost 20 years ago now (about 1990). Still is awesome when someone busts it out. :)
Unearth is awesome! I don't understand why people are recently calling metalcore not metal but..
this one and Giles are top notch kick ass tunes
one of the best bands ive ever seen ^^
Man, this shit still rips as hard as it did back in 06. Time flies
1:22 this guitar stunt by ken susi is sooooo amazing!=)

90% of all their songs are top notch kick ass
Probably The Best Metalcore band ever formed!
Really missing the pre 2010 life listening to this song.... too much shit going on now
i love the riff at 1:46

This song makes u feel old remember seeing them in 05 time flys
this is why In the Eyes of Fire is their best record! UNEARTH FUCKIN RULES!!!!
these guys put on a damn good show.
omg!! unearth is amazing, just saw them last week with darkest hour, august burns red, and suicide silence. best show iv ever been too!! except for in flames. lol
Christ, I miss 2008. RIP
Underrated band. 100%

MetalManiac1134 is right. It was at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest 2007. They shot the METAL BLADE 25TH ANNIVERSARY DVD the second day of the festival which featured Metal Blade artists only.

Incoming neck injury from this song.
+Tom D (Mosfet) Amen to that. I couldn't turn my head the day after hearing this for the first time.
Definatly Metal. Death Metal is a subgenre, and even if you had asked for a subgenre, it would probably be more like Metalcore.
2008 in hungary at budapest at A38.. aaawhh.. Unearth was FUCKIN' HEAVY!
anyway... Unearth & LoG are the bests!!!
zomgosh you are a genius i wanna see that!!
i fux with this !!!!! damn t hat ending was brutal

0:01 to 4:21 is BRUTAL!

Well, I agree with him, Unearth makes some damn creative breakdowns, but there are deffinately others that do wicked breakdowns too.
First 2 albums were glorious

hey SlipKnoT is pretty good! espCHris93.
btw I'm just checking out this band and its pretty awesome!
they throw a guitar or a bass to the audience?!?! that would be so hard to fight to catch that, but would be the most amazing thing ever if you got it
alta banda padre
MetalCore... yeahh!1
