I also love it, love it, love it! I use all my scrap yarn in a big granny using the magic knot, and now I know how to make my granny look very special. Thank you very much for sharing. So by the way, I also have a death grip! :)
I use crocheting as my therapy for arthritis and when I am anxious. This is perfect (albeit a lot of work) for those days when I have to pay attention to my crocheting. Thanks for the tutorial.
❤🧶 That is a beautiful pattern and you explained it great , but I'm 72 [almost 73] yrs old and probably not patient enough to try it but I will soon. I've committed myself to make 13 Prayer Shawls for our Church Worship Team and then I will change over. Thank you for your patience and understanding in trying to teach this old Lady how to manage this pattern. Stay safe and keep teaching. ❤💙🧶😘
Oh my goodness....love stained glass....will do brights set with the black....can hardly wait..and maybe this will become a cocoon jacket! Oooohhh 🤣😚❤💋
I love that you are experienced and still get caught with the fibres. I totally do that all the time. Thanks for not editing those out. Makes me feel better about my work
Dear Craig, thank you so much for a delightful project. I particularly appreciated the slip stitch to the corners and how that keeps the square truer than my old method. Even after 50 years of crocheting, I learn something New and Valuable every time I watch your tutorials. You have a very special place in my heart. When I see your UA-cam email come up my day brightens wondering what I will learn this time. Thank you Fiber Spider, long may you continue these delightful and pleasant tutorials!
Oh my gosh, I just found your channel! I love love love you! This is such a great project for me, picking up crocheting again after learning as a youngster... so basically everything is new, right? I love that you're not pretentious, what a relief after seeing some of the tutorials! I can not wait to dig deeper into your channel.. oh this project looks awesome for me! And oh don't I know normal is just a setting on the washing machine! Hugs!!!!
Hi Im a bit of a newbie crocheted, I've knitted for years but taken this time to learn. I love watching your tutorials but I also have different ones running when I'm doing my projects. Your voice is like morale support even if I'm not following the video. I love that I've learnt so much from videos like yours because written patterns just dont work in my brain! Much love and support 💚
I love the Granny Square. Any granny square project makes me happy. This is awesome and just what I was looking for on my next project. I can't wait to get started!
As soon as my husband hears your intro he ran in and shouted YAY SPIDERSPIDERETTES ! 🤣🤣 He loves it when I play your tutorials 🥰 hes so soppy 🤣 xx love the tutorial Craig xx
Thank you so much for this tutorial and to Annette and her Nana. I finished my attempt of this and its more than I thought it would be. 157 cm (62 inches) of multi colour Stained Glass Granny and people love it. Keep bringing us awesome tutorials !
Oh mr. spider😳...this is ..FANNY TASTIC...I LOVE ❤️ THIS... and yes I am going to make a blanket using this great technique...thank you so much for sharing it with us.... you are a peach 🍑...stay safe and warm...
A pound of love in each color! That’s a lot of love!! Lol🧶 I ‘d rather have your “rambling” than to be left scratching my head cause you inadvertently left something out!! After 45+ years of crocheting I can fill in the blanks with some accuracy. But sometimes I have “brain fog” (related to medical issues), and I can’t remember how to do a double crochet!!
That is awesome. I’m going to do it and call it the stained sun using a bright yellow, orange and red ombré with a charcoal lattice. Thank you so much for the video. I can’t wait to get started
Thank you for sharing your work I enjoy watching your videos I am working on one of your granny square blankets now. You explain everything in such great detail and a good speed and are a good teacher
My mom taught me without he chain 1 between stitches and chain 2 in corners but she never did the stained-glass granny I will have to try this after I get some of my other objects done thank you God Bless you
Oh Spider that pattern is stunning and could be a way of incorporating a granny baby blanket with the trellis so granny wouldn’t have little holes to trap little fingers. I think you have inspired my next project!!! 😃
There’s a very good chance this will be my next project. I’m two balls of yarn away from finishing my glorious granny square, I found it on your channel at the beginning of lockdown and I’ve used variegated sparkle yarn. I think this would look nice in Rainbow with dark lattice work.
This is gorgeous!! I am in the middle (almost) of a c2c but have already purchased yarn for the next blanket!! This is going to be my next project!! Using Comfy Cotton because I can handle soft light material a lot better than acrylic....
Hello to you i am new to you first time i am doing my first shawl from your video virus shawl i love the pattern trying to get back to it gotta do this and that and everything else sooooo cold here today from Newfoundland Canada thanks love your work
I don't particular like the grand y, but this technique is beautiful. I would make this. It's looks like it's heavy and warm. Thank you for your video. Always enjoy your channel.👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼 Have a great holiday. 🇺🇸
I love your tutorials... but I need to make a suggestion. when joining corners after the last cluster join with a HDC and that leaves you in the middle of the corner you are in and you do the second part of the corner stitch right over the hdc .... and you don't have to slip stitch over to the next corner.... I learned that from Mikey at the Crochet crowd...and it has saved me lots of time and it looks nicer.
Cindy Lillard Hi Cindy agree with you as that’s the way I join too there’s no bulk especially if you are using fire yarn .but Fiber Spider tutorials are good to follow as he’s so good at explaining x
I am glad you explained that, I personally avoid Mikey with the Crochet Crowd, he is just... IDK... arrogant...if that is even the right word. I always feel like he is taking down to me, or that he is tired and doesn't want to be here. It's probably just me. I don't want to be rude. But Fiber 🕷️ spider has a kind voice. Thx Fiber! 🥰

hi Craig, can this be done on a rectangle shawl? I love your videos and best of all your light hearted sense of humor. you have taught me a great deal of stitches, one was the glorious granny square in a variegated yarn with different shades of autumn colors.
