Don't underestimate the value in a 13 ore mono just to stop them from using them earlier in the game, even if you have to "waste" them 4-1. Would be a little different situation if you only had 1 mono but I think you need to use it earlier just to wipe the ore off the board when you have 2.
Yea agreed, it was a missed opportunity for sure. I think I just tunnel visioned.
19:47 confused why dylighted doesnt just mono ore in this scenario instead of ending turn. in fact i was screaming for him to mono ore the round before instead of brick. with the amount of ore he's likely to get he couldve probably built 2 roads and citied up on the same turn.

In my opinion , as soon as it was your turn and you can jack like 10+ ore from 1 mono and you have another in hand. Its like a 100% mono, at that point its even worth it to just pass, stealing that much city potential from the rest of the board is already worth it. But you also would've gotten a city out of it, on 2 great wheat spots. So those ores would've been great in your hand.

Everytime I play on colonist IO I get a table full of people who don't use voice chat. Staring at a silent game with no communication for trades is boring. Is discord the best way to find talking tables or is there anything else you suggest?
Yes! I would recommend joining a discord community where everyone uses voice chat. It makes it just like real life Catan and makes the game a lot more fun with all the banter.
To find one, go on Colonist.io and join any of the tournaments or leagues.
I didn't understand why you didnt take 8 4 3. with so much wheat on board, good ore spot is gold. there is high chance 3 10 11 will be open, so I would have taken that chance.
Could you mono anything else than the brick and 4 for 1

Hmm I think you were overthinking not playing that mono when there were lots of ore.. the way I look at it is your taking cities away

Dylan is 100x better than I will ever be at Catan but not mono’ing essentially all the ore in the game was classic overthinking lol. Still won, but can’t be results-oriented, which he does rightfully say himself.
