I think a new strategy would be for the first and last player to pair up. The last player helps the leading player win in exchange for him overtaking the other two players.
I feel like not 3:1ing your ore those middle orbits twice hurt you quite a bit. Always getting a dev card than holding ore when your 10 wheat is blocked is quite risky. IDK though it could've gone either way but I would've just pulled a dev card.
I agree and it's not even just because of the benefit of hindsight. In normal circumstances, maybe in the early - mid game, playing efficiently is the way to go. But I feel like Dylighted sometimes tunnels on always using his resources in the most economical way possible without taking into account the blocks/risk of 7 out or risk of being jacked (and in this case, all of them happened at some point because he was in first place). The advantage from using the port in that position is huge as it would zero out his hand, meaning that his opponent would be stolen from 100 percent + he would get a very valuable dev.
Just want to say, love your Twitch streams, no matter the result. Your enthusiasm and competitiveness are great to watch. Appreciate your perfectionism, but you're super fun to watch, even if you lose. Catan is a wild game, high highs and lows lows.
Red has huge economy by the end though. Like red is on 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 and producing 70 production points (or about averaging 2 cards every roll)
I remember this game. My predictions on twitch chat about this game were true. The most funny thing that I remember is that on red’s last turn with 17 cards, he can just do 2 road and build a house on blue’s road and extend 2 road to win
I think the thumbnail and video title are incorrect? The thumbnail shows a settlement on two wood tiles, which you don't have in the game in the actual video
Ok, I don’t get how red won. Was it really just have bad set up and good trades, get lucky with rolls then once you’ve expanded to a couple extra spots you’re not behind any more
Red was allowed to get a 3:1 port when they already had a sheep port. Good brick and wood plus space on the board so longest road was theirs to lose plus all the expansion spots made them unblockable
I placed on the 4-11 in this one (Not my video): ua-cam.com/video/MRBPxneGFEQ/v-deo.html Not gonna say if I won or not, as to not introduce spoilers. :)
New strat - Get the worst possible setup and coast under the radar.

@@SerbAtheist That's called kingmaking and is illegal in tournament play.
The editor is crushing it with these edits
didnt see the wood port being used once
I just want to say that your videos is a highpoint in my day! Always hoping on more videos from you!
Great game and I love the tension at the end
Recently been obsessed with Catan after learning how to play back in December. Love your content and even your ability to make mistakes haha
YES! THE 🐐 IS BACK WITH THE UPLOADS
13:45 blue was totally right here with this call ahha

Yesss, please post more 😊. Love the content

Two videos in the spam two days? This is beautiful

Red is the Kanye West of Catan.
What website is he/are you playing on?
Great ending!

He couldn't do that. He would need 5 brick, and he had 0 or 1 in hand.
@@catanace1741 with 3:1 and sheep port it might work. His last card was a brick
@@yorai26
It wouldn't, I checked :)
@@catanace1741 yeah if we think about it we know all his cards so it’s can be calculated. I wonder if this idea at least came to his mind
That outro got me
What is a Perfect City?
great final music!
WTF? What was Red thinking with his second placement? And how the hell did he win?

Awesome video cool audio edits to hype it up respect for posting a lose
Glad red won. Didnt fall victim to any exortations or baits
U should make more videos, make some 1v1 strategy videos? Or review subscribers games?
Kinda sus the placement in the thumbnail isn't in the game NGL
GG great vid!
If anyone keen for some more Catan content, I've just uploaded my first video and would love some feeback! Cheers!
red has a bigger brain than all of us

I've just found this guy's other channel and been binge watching them, why the new channel? I've been watching year old videos all week lol
What's everyone's percentage of wins in bot games?
am i crazy or is the video cropped out
The crop on the left side is really annoying
I remember this game from the stream lol
Makes me feel better when good players also make obvious mistakes.
Good ending lolol
Posted wrong game, it's not showing the game with thumbnail of video....
sick vid
the music bait.
gg red
how can someone place on 4/11 and win ahahah

Great game
Unfortunately ur last dev gave him the win 😮
I had the win in hand.....
you cant teach that
dyed hair 😵💫?
dude... you talk way to fast.... other than that: cool stuff ^^
:))
Why does the thumbnail not fit with the video? Very irritating!
