Type O Negative were so fantastic it's a shame they're not around anymore but I definitely respect them for disbanding after Peter died cuz he's definitely irreplaceable 😞
Absolutely agree!
Pete is definitely irreplaceable. RIP Green man.
Real
R.I.P. Peter Steele.
He was the man! My favorite death/ heavy metal band.
Yes. RIP peter steel. We miss this dude and the world today i think really needs his presence more than ever
God the songwriting and talent involved
Type O Negative is my favorite band of all time and I really appreciate the way you liked and respected them in this video. RIP Peter Steele.
Anyone who loves Type O Negative can have a seat at my table, just don't come all at once on the same night. 🤫
👋 from Windsor, ON!
I was fortunate and eternally grateful to have seen them live when I was 14. I'm 31 now and my love for them is stronger than ever! There is something special about TON fans. They are just a one of a kind band. The lyrics are poetry, the sound is eternal and otherworldly. This live is honey to the eardrums!
I got to see them twice, easily my favorite live shows EVER!
@@Autofire80 yeees! ♥️
I got choked up listening to this.... performance with Peter Steele. His voice is like magic. Such a hige tragedy he was tajen from us. 🥺🖤💚 R.I.P green man.
This song takes me to another world and to much better times. I'm probably going to be doing this live later this week. I love performing this song. I wish I could have had the chance to see Peter do it live. Music lost a true treasure when he passed.
You should also check out their song "Anesthesia" from the same live performance. Incredible show. 🤘🤘
ABSOLUTELY ❤
Anesthesia is GOATed and that performance is fantastic
.ABSOLUTELY!!
Absolutely 💚💚
Type O was huge for me. I’ll miss The Green Man and the whole band. Thank you for bringing them some attention.
Dang I miss him. He was such an amazing vocalist, insane on that bass and commanded that stage like no one else could. This song is so beautiful, but it makes me cry between the instruments and pain you hear in Petes voice. RIP Green man 💚
RIP Pete Steele, a fantastic performer who I was lucky enough to see live with Type O. Big guy (all over 😉) with a stunning, deep voice. Great reaction as ever Ash.
Aweee I'm glad you were able to meet em. And thank you!
The Drab Four in all their glory.
This song speaks to my "SouL" as well. 😂 The way you said that. Then again, almost all their songs speak to my soul. I regularly listen to the entire Bloody Kisses album as I have a hard time listening to just any one song from that album. That album just meshes together so well it feels like it was meant to be listened to in its entirety.
Thankfully I was able to see these guys live in Detroit back in the day before he passed away.
Welcome to the Type O Family. 🥲
I love this song and this band so much! I wish i could've seen them live, RIP Peter😭💚
I remember seeing them when Bloody Kisses and October Rust came out. They always gave their best. Pete is so missed
It is basically goth with a hint of colour!
Type o negative is one of my all time favorite bands.. this song is my wife’s favorite Type O song
It's a really great song
i saw them 7 times in in the late 90 early 00s
I remember seeing type O negative back on the 90s. Some of the best shows I've ever seen. Glad to see the younger crowd getting into this music. New subscriber as of today. Have a great day
Rest In Peace Green Man
I have an autographed copy of 'The Origin of the Feces', the butthole cover, and Peter signed it under the hole and drew a happy face on it. Prized possession.
I still miss Peter Steele and Type O Negative. I'm off now to have some fond memories.
I saw Pete Steele in upstate NY. A place called Saratoga Winners. He was doing a reunion tour with his original band, Carnivore. I got covered in fake blood along with a friend. We both grew up on Carnivor. Went to a college bar afterwards were we knew the bouncer but he wouldn’t let us in. “You’re gonna scare the college kids dude” lol
The fake blood was thrown by the band by the way. We did bring it with us lol
I love how amazing they sound live. Great playing and vocals. I wish Peter Steel was still alive, he was so talented and such a gorgeous creator. 🖤🖤🖤
Peter Steele is not dead. Vampires never die ! 🤘
when i found this song live while used of hearing it on video it really does something to me. when i come home everyday its the first song i put on no matter who is here.
I love Type O Negative. Their debut album is probably one of the angriest albums ever written lol So different than everything they released since.
Love this! Thank you!! Miss Peter and Type O Negative so much. Grabbed some red wine and drank straight out of the bottle while listening to this. Cheers, Peter!
Their music really got me through some times, if there was some way that I could let the guys who are still around know how much of a positive impact they'd made it would be awesome.
This song makes me feel the exact same way! I’m obsessed with it! ❤️
RIP Green Man💚🖤Edited to add, girl I’m 50 years old and Pete’s voice always takes me somewhere else.😅🧛🏻♂️🧛🏻♀️
I weep every time I listen
I love the laughter in the darkness.
I love it. Something about that tells me they Knew it was the performance of their careers. They were having fun and everything came together. No pun. lol
"The Green Man". One of my very favorite bands. Thank you.
This is around the time when Peter’s health started to effect him & a better choice to listen to this great song live is from “Type O’s” dvd “Symphony For The Devil”. Great channel by the way & i look forward to watching many more of your video’s. Maybe one day one of my requests for a band to review coming from you would definitely be “Type O” lol - Carnivore & Danzig 🤘 I’m very fortunate to have seen “Type O-“ 7 times🤘 + i got to see them when they were all in their prime during the 90’s which was absolutely amazing
to say the least. Die hard “Type O Negative” fans would get this… (YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!) then Peter would come out on stage & greet the crowd & say (Ya Ya I know we suck, but we get paid to suck, You’s all suck for free, or paid to see us suck!) LoL 😂
Wacken 2007? Damn, I was there in the crowd!
I want him back!! Life isn't the same. Miss him so much!!!!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤ love you Peter!!! 💗💗💗😭😭
Takes me back to the 90s ,what a party. Great song even better live
Got to see them four times. Wish I could again. Miss them times.
One of my favorite bands since 1999, everything they did was absolute gold! We definitely lost one of the greats when Peter Steele passed away R.I.P.🙏🤘 Another band I highly recommend checking out that initially got me hooked mainly because of the similarities with Type O Negative and I know you’ll love is The 69 Eyes, they’re a goth rock band from Finland, the lead vocalist, Jyrki 69, sounds like a mix of Peter Steele and David Bowie.
Got to meet Peter in 2008 on what would be their very last tour.
The King is dead, long live the King \m/
Type o negative forever there actually from my area Brooklyn just a couple mins away at red hook I actually got to be friends with Josh silver on FB
I was lucky enough to meet the band multiple times and hang out with them peter was a gentle giant nicest guy you could ever meet he does have a dark and twisted sense of humor but don't let that fool you a genuine nice guy
Thank you for sharing this. Lol. I haven't heard it performed live. But, growing up, listening to Type-0, ugh, lol, this brings back memories😊.
The nostalgia!
By the way, your review of the song at Wacken was perfect.
I agreed with every comment you had!
Was vibing at every point!
YESSSS we need more Type O reactions. Please do anesthesia next!!
Seen them in Philly on Halloween Night 2000, at the Tracadero. I can't believe it's been almost 23yrs!
RIP... Peter Steele....
yessssssssssssssssssssssss bro hissssssss voiceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee i loveeeeeee itttttttttt
He was a fucking genius
Haha, here I chime in... I saw them live twice. Once opening for ozzy, the second it was their tour. Bloody Kisses and October Rust tours. Was an amazing band! Great reaction as always
Ohhhh, Ash... this was very cool. Type O was a big band in my house back in the day - We even got to see them Live a few times. Rock onnnnn! 🤘😎👍
Funny enough this band started out trying to make fun of goth rock, but did the music so well that the lyrical satire went over almost everyone's heads and they became one of the most popular bands in the genre
Rip Green Man.
Died in 2010 the years passed away Myth Ronnie James Dio 🤘. Peter Steele Deep Bass register voice.
R.I.P. Peter Steele...your Spirit lives On..👆🏼🙌🏼
Love to see first time reactions to the greatest band ever and will be sending this reaction video to the drummer Johnny
Peter Steele AKA The Green Man RIP you beautiful soul 💚🖤
OMG. ask and ye shall receive! So stoked!
Type O Negative forever 💚🖤💚
My favorite song by my favorite band! If I wasn't immortal this would be my funeral pyre song.
This was my first favorite Type O song. You got a love from hello Lol
Gothternative! My life finally makes sense now lol that's me to a Tee 🖤❤🧡💛 so thank you for that description 😉✌
They were amazing live. I got to see them a couple times and was amazed by how huge Peter Steele was.
The first time I heard this song a friend of mine had one of the OG Doom games and the music video was on the actual disc as extra bonus content. Its definitely my favorite song of theirs. The best line in the whole song: "The beast in side of me is gonna get ya, get ya YEAH!"
Blood. I'll never forget. I found it in some bargain bin at a music store. And when I popped it into my computer, I found this random movie file and this was the video. That's how I discovered Type O Negative.
She loved it in the first 2 minutes live, I love typo negative
How can you not with that voice?
T.O.N. is what I based my musical preferences on as a teenager. I am still a dark romantic because of them!
Definitely one of my most favorite songs of all time. Most bands sound like sh*t live but they actually sound really good.
Love this, always missing the green man 💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤
During this tour, Peter grew and shaved his facial hair to be in honor for Lemmy (from Motorhead) who played Wacken in 2006, but added the soulpatch and shaved the muttens off cause he started to look like a very large version of Lemmy and didnt want to have fans feel tricked, nor take away from Type O. While Peter was normally clean shaven (or 5'o'clock shadow) majority of the time, he would grow out a goatee, beard or handlebar stache for random occasions
If you haven't listened to Bloody Kisses or October Rust, you're doing yourself a disservice. You should totally hear those albums. They are fantastic, and it's Type O at their best. World Coming Down isn't bad either. I'm not a goth person... it's just not my thing, but I LOVE Type O. Saw them in concert in 2000, and am sad they're gone since Peter Steele's death.
I love Type O Negative. I miss them. I got into their music between late 1993 and mid 1994 with their album "Bloody Kisses" (1993) and I liked them, also like their dark and quirky sense of humor, autobiographical, romantic at times, and fatalistic lyrics, but it was with their 1996 masterpiece "October Rust" and 1991's "Slow, Deep and Hard" that I became a total fan.
At that time I didn't know anything about Gothic Metal except for Paradise Lost. What got me into Type O Negative was reading some interviews where they mentioned Cocteau Twins, The Sisters Of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Black Sabbath, The Beatles and The Cars as influences. A pity that they left very few albums. Saw them live only one time in 2000 for their "World Coming Down" album tour. Peter Steele is missed.
They're gooooood! ;)
'My girlfriend's girlfriend: she looks like you"" (always had that line in my head... I have no gf atm). So Dracula, yes. But with hippie chicks!
Different song, that I am referencing:
ua-cam.com/video/KgkBWZXVLyk/v-deo.html
Please do Type O Negative "All Hallows Eve" for Halloween time!!!
But Creepy Green Light, World Comming down, Hey Bacchus, Anesthesia, September Sun, Gravitational Constant, Haunted, Too Late: Frozen. There are so many! I hope to see more!!
Sooo good is Type O !
RIP Peter Steele
Gone far too soon
First saw them with Ozzy and Sepultura 1996
I love your hair like that! I hope you're having a great weekend! Much love & light sent your way!
Thank you!!!
Your channel is growing like bananas!
Mmmmmmmmmm peanut butter banana toast sounds AMAZING
This band is the Bible! The book of lost souls. The truth of our bleeding hearts. Kind Regards from🇵🇱
You'd better check earlier live version during after dark tour when he was more sober and thus without voice corrected during postprocessing (audiotuned). This was Pete's ending period from addiction, which is very sad to observe and listen.😢
One thing about Type O, They knew how to write a panty dropper. And God DAMN Kenny's Necro Neon Green Guitar is pure Wildfire. I want it so bad!
It's all just really cool tbh
Awesome Reaction Video Ash Happy friday Hope you're doing well 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Ah good memories. I think this was actually how I learned what Wacken is
Oh really!?
@@SlashleyReacts yeah! I remember our local TV station would play videos from it, there's also the Christian Woman I think it is from a different year but yeah our overnight TV on one channel on the weekends is dedicated to music from like 10-6am. They play new clips on the Friday night & Saturday night they usually get someone famous to program it. It's called Rage & you might see some clips from off of it in your viewing travels, especially from Australia
More type o plz
honestly if you want some music you have likely not seen.
Ghoultown - Elvira
Horrorpops - Heading for the Disco
Nekromantix - Horny in a Hearse
The Creepshow - They All Fall Down
Wolfsheim - Heroin She Said
The Cruxshadows - Winterborn
Emily Autumn - Fight like a Girl.
These aren't the best songs by these bands but they are all fun videos or fun lyrically to react to.
Que pena que 1 bandas góticas bem trabalhadas eu já ouvi na minha vida não existe mais tenho a impressão que continua vivo dentro da gente ele se foi mas a música jamais morrerá ficará na eternidade valeu amigo
This is the second reaction from you and I loved it, so I'm gonna subscribe to your channel. Here is a Type O Negative song that I suggest, if you haven't heard it already and it's a cover of Black Sabbath's song "Black Sabbath", please check it out....
RIP Peter Steele... 💔
You should check out their cover of 'Pictures of Matchstick Men' by Status Quo. Holyyyyyyyy shit. It is GOOD.
Sisters of Mercy/ Lucretia my Reflection please
nice nose ring!
RIP Pete the gentle giant. Music and fans sorely miss you.
Ash, if you want to hear a little known band that I consider the worthy legacy of Type O Negative, try October Noir. Here is their homage version of Love You to Death:

Thank you!
💚💚💚
Same fun poking my partner and I have…she is GothAlt too…whereas I am old enough to be around when the Goth scene emerged…so she gives me that guffaw attitude when fire said pointing occurs…adorable…🖤🖤
Peter Steel looks like Keanu Reeves. Right... ? 😂
This!
