Peter Steele was legendary. His voice still lives on, and it's amazing getting to watch people experience type o negative for the first time. I highly recommend checking out their entire catalog honestly so many great songs

I do still prefer the previous record, "Bloody Kisses" primarily because it still had a great deal more old school metal in the vein of Peters previous band "Carnivore" left in some of the songs however this is a damned amazing romantic gothic metal album of the first order. It's simply intoxicating. Rest in peace Peter Steele

I seen them in 2002 then Boom he is a Patient of mine at work. Peter is HUGE! When I would go to adult facility talked to him. Just super cool dude with like a dry humor put a few steps above dry. 1 if the best lyricist in our time. Fly high brother till the flip side
This band just holds a special place in my heart. They were the first hard rock/metal band I ever saw live. Ozzfest 97. Got there in late afternoon/evening so I saw them, Pantera and Ozzy. Hell of a good start for all the bands I've seen since. My first girlfriend was a massive fan of theirs and they were one of the things we bonded over from the start. They were also, and this song specifically, the first music video I ever watched on the internet. Back on a 56k modem where you had to wait 5-10 minutes to let it load or else it would stop every 3 seconds and say BUFFERING nonstop. But it was the beginning for me of what lead to stuff like this we have today.
Man I love this band Peter had a voice no other Goth Metal musician has been able to replicate. This song was about the girl he was in love with in the 1980's that ended badly. He attempted to kill himself after that but failed. Hence the am I good enough, let me love you lyrics. Do yourself a favor and listen to his other albums.

Ok I love type O negative. I just had UA-cam playing random and your reaction popped up. I watched a little. I noticed something. As soon as Peter began his vocals it melted your girl. So I went through a couple more reactions to Type O and found any reactions that have women watching does the same thing. Peter’s voice makes females into puffy.
Gotta do the album versions of Type O songs. They were always cut due to length when made into videos. September Sun would be a good choice or go back to where they really kicked it off with Bloody Kisses. Not sure I'd recommend the albums prior to that as they were still heavily Carnivore influenced and most didn't get Pete's sarcastic cynic sense of humour wrapped up in his anger.

Check out Everyone I Love Is Dead and Everything Dies. On a lot of their songs are the incredible voice by Peter Steele and guitarist Kenny Hickey doing the chorus. You should also check out Carnivore - Male Supremacy. The slow part of the song are so great. After Peter Steele died Kenny Hickey and drummer Johnny Kelly had a band called Seventh Void. It's too bad you watched the edited video. It's album version is about 2 minutes longer and to me gives you a little more time to feel the energy in the song. The sounds they create give such an immersive experience.
