I love your reaction Rammstein never fail to deliver and to see your reaction speaks volumes and to rock out to a non English speaking band and to see you still enjoy it shows how good they are as musicians.👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
There are 3 bands right now that leave you with sense of emptyness if you don't watch them live. Iron Maiden, Nightwish and Rammstein. It doesn't matter which you see first, that is for you to decide. Listening to a cd, or watching a video doesn't bring the bands any justice. It is imperative you see them live, as close to the stage as possible. That is where you can experience what they are about. As for your reaction, well, let's just say your face tells us all we need to know. I was looking at you, when you closed your eyes, and I started thinking: oh lord, she is going to miss it. Thanks to the gods of rock you didn't. Glad you got the lyrics open, because most of their songs have dual meanings. It's never how we expect. Also, they can sing some "angelic" songs, but they can also shock you to oblivion with ease. Always be expecting the un-expected. And there are no bad songs in their portfolio. Awesome reaction, my dear. Kind regards.
My cousin did a presentation at school years ago and it turned me on to Rammstein. Years after he did this presentation about the band, I started listening to songs from this band. From that moment on I started to love Rammstein. A friend and I went to our first concert of the band last year. In about a month, another friend will join us at the next concert.
This song is such a crowd pleaser and it's not hard to understand why it's been a staple and always been in every tour they made since it released. By being a performer and to hear the crowd so in to the song must make it to never grow old to sing as well.
Going to see them for the 4th time in June. I've travelled to Berlin, Prague and Paris over the years, because they didn't travel to Ireland. They're coming to Dublin in June. Boom.
I normally don't watch too many reaction channels but there is something about your personality that is just awesome. The laugh and the personality is just so cool.

Hi Ash👋. I'e been a sub for a long time, but i don't think i've ever commentet. So this is going to be a bit longer now😊. Awesome that you discovered Rammstein! Nice to see someone getting so excited about them. These guys always attach great importance to their lyrics and leave room for interpretation. There is mostly more than one meaning. The official videos from them are mostly extraordinary, more like movies. Especially the video for "Deutschland", but be sure to turn on the subtitles here! And because you asked for it, a little help with the pronunciacion: pronounce the a as if you were saying ah, the st like sh and the e i, like the letter i. But i don't think anyone cares if you don't say it like that😉. I also wanted to say, that you seem to be a great, empathetic and funny person and that i always enjoy watching your reactions❤. Stay as you are, greetins from Germany❤.
Now imagine a German band performing in Paris, the capital of the country that Germany has invaded twice. And have several 10000 French people sing along in German... Now THAT is full reconciliation, I'd say. 😂 The German meaning has the two meanings depending on spelling, but not pronunciation. The one is "Du hast"/"you have", the other is "Du hasst"/"you hate". The meaning in a vocal aspect is only clarified in German once you reach the point "du hast mich gefragt" / "you have asked me". Everything up until that point is ambiguous. So it could mean "you hate", "you hate me", or "you have", "you have me". This is just ONE of the many multiple meanings Rammstein include in almost all their songs. Till Lindemann, the main singer, is a true poet when it comes to the lyrics. Have fun with their songs, it's a deep rabbit hole. Get ready to be shocked; their songs are often catchy, but rarely nice.
Well, considering what is Happening in Paris now , they changed their minds of course. They would have welcomed THAT German invasion a third time. Really.
I've seen them 6 times live, and they never disappoint! If you want to learn the proper German pronunciation of their name, check out "Volt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehn", "Rammleid" or their namesake song "Rammstein " you will learn it for sure by the end of them. I love the fact that your cat is called Fester!!!😻😻😻😻
You ain´t seen nothing yet. Every single song performed live by them has its own theatrical show. Try "Engel" and "Ich tu Dir weh" Live Madison Square Garden.
I've been a fan of Rammstein since I watched the music video for Du Hast in 1997. Bought Sehnsucht and listened to it nonstop. Been hooked on them ever since. And I've been fortunate enough to see them in concert twice. I dragged my brother-in-law with me to both shows. Well, to the first show at least. Leaving the venue, my ears ringing, throat raw, sweat running down my face I asked him what he thought of the concert. He said "honestly, I wasn't expecting much but that's the best concert I've ever seen." He was much more excited to go to the show last year. :D Check out the live performance for my favorite Rammstein song, Mein Teil. Great riffs, dark lyrics and the stage show is absolutely amazing.
I saw them last year in Chicago, and it was by far the greatest show I've been to.. and I've been to a lot of shows. You have to see them if you ever get a chance. Also, great reaction. Check out more of them. You won't regret going down that rabbit hole. 😁
been watching you for awhile and just realized that I never subbed.. that has now been rectified! Keep up the awesome work. You should also check out the whole Paris concert.. their shows are "nasty" is the best way.
they like there FIRE. i saw them on there first American tour back in 1998. it was a small venue. i was 100-150 feet away in the balcony and could feel the heat plume from the 2 flame cannons they had at that time. can even imagine the heat on stage at this show. the cannons are pointing at the stage and he is standing between 2 of them. it is basically German wedding vows. the meaning for the band has morphed over time.
The power, the fire and the explosion is just one song. The hole show is mind blowing. There comes a foam cannon, a flame thrower and much more. In front of the stage must be an experience.
Yeah, Rammstein puts on an AMAZING show live. lots and lots of pyro. there's a section in the audience called the "Fire Zone" where you could actually feel the heat from the pyro.
the cool thing is it wasn't just a treadmill, it was a van de graaf generator used to make that lightning all while wearing a "tesla suit" or basically a conductive suit that insulates the wearer inside. Allows for that awesome effect
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE DU HAST! Every time it comes up on my "drive to work" playlist and I sing along! I learned all the words in German hahahaha LETS GOOOOOOOOO! They always have the best pyrotechnics! LOL
Your reaction was so good, it made me happy! You would love seeing them live; the pyrotechnics they employ are next level. Till Lindemann, the lead singer, is a licensed pyrotechnic guy.
Saw hundreds of extreme metal gigs, and I mean from Death, Grind, Black and Doom. But I never got a mosh pit like in my first Rammstein gig. Saw them 6 or 7 times, and its always insanely fun.
Great reaction, as always Ashley! Worth checking out for yourself, not necessarily to react to.. a short 2.5 minute time lapse video of their stage setup. It’s kinda epic. ‘Rammstein - Europe Stadium Tour (Time Lapse)’. Rammstein takes their whole stage setup with them everywhere they go. It takes 70+ semi trucks.. and when they go overseas, they need 7x Boeing 747s!!
Rammstein performed this song live for the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Even though it was just a small stage in a parking lot, they brought the full show, including the out-and-back rockets.
I look at all the reactions of those who are watching for the first time and it’s just epic, I was at this concert at the time and it was crazy because everyone was waiting on this particular piece the pyrotechnic, but in fact the whole concert was like this and the whole hall was shaking.
Welcome to a huge rabbit hole, Rammstein has so many amazing songs, live performances and official videos, it's definitely one of the best bands in the world! I would definitely recommend to watch the official video (until the very end, don't miss any bit!) of "Deutschland" with the lyrics in English (automatic translated subtitles are good) to understand the context, it's very important with them! Another fantastic live performance is "Mein Teil" - I recommend the Live in Paris 2012 version with the English subtitles from the Bucksttabu channel...
I was in Rotterdam years ago, about 1/3 in from the podium, and my eyebrows are still angry from the heat. Was an indoors concert and it was INSANE. Do checkout Epica as well, from the Netherlands and always a party! Especially the Retrospect concert 🤘😎🤘
You have just seen the best live band in the world by far an the greatest rock/metal show on the road in these days. Rammstein concerts are lifetime experiencies. To build Rammsteins stadium stage you need seven Boing 747 and 70 trucks for transportation, 400 people and one week to built
that is fire jelly the band has on there arms, most people thinks it's supposed to look like blood, but no, there 6 feet from the bottom of the 20 foot flames shooting up and down, so you can feel the heat in the first eight rows of fans up front. Also, that's real electric current running down into the keyboards, it's from a huge Tesla coil that it mounted overhead. That's so cool.
Their entertainment level is super high. But their engagement is often overseen. The lyrics and themes are always interesting and this voice of the frontman........is something else. They stand on their own I guess. An original band I say. Thank you. Btw: I'am having a day of, gonna do a bit of gardening, maybe buy some new clothes, talk with some friends, just enjoying the day;-)
Fun Fact: The Keyboard player is always on a treadmill for every show and usually averages around 27 miles of walking per concert! Also all the liquid they're covered with is actually fire retardant because of the pyrotechnics. Also related: the lead singer got licensed as an international pyrotechnician after an accident on stage caused by irresponsible contractors injured a crew member. He personally oversees every aspect of their pyrotechnics now.
Most likely the top Industrial Metal band. Till Lindemann was interviewed maybe ten years ago and asked who he listened to and he said 'almost exclusively Marylin Mason'. Check out the full Rammstein concert from 2005 in Nimes, France. You'll love it Incedently in interviews with the band members, you'll notice 3rd degree scars on their faces and arms. There is a lot of pyrotechnics that go on in their shows, and sometimes, they move into the flames by mistake. Yet the injured band member will complete the concert before being rushed off to the emergency room at the local hospital.
You loving the new Sleep Token album as much as me? Also, love the the Deftones shirt, I literally just bought the same shirt for my son a second generation Deftones fan! I started listening to them in 96. (YES I'm old) 😂
Fun fact not sure if already said, but Til the lead singer is a fully trained pyrotechnic after him and the guys were constantly burned at shows he had enough and studied to do his own pyro that way being safe, so what you see here was all done by Til!!!
I like your visual setup in viewing the video. I think it's only natural in viewing songs in a foreign language to do it as you have done so well but then to also view it one more time after the translation and researching what the song might mean to see your further and deeper reaction. Really, we won't mind watching the song twice. Wouldn't mind your reaction to Deutchland but you might want to brush up a bit on some German history. Thanks
I saw them early 2000s live and during a song the singer "pee'd gasoline" on 1 of the bandmembers. Put him in a boat and set him on fire and pushed it out to be sent around crowdsurfing during the song. Im fairly certain the singer is a pyro expert and they have just upped their pyros with the years.
While Rammstein does some really excellent live performances ("Puppe", "Pussy", "Sonne", "Du Hast" etc.) they also do some absolutely beautiful music videos. Do not miss on "Radio", "Zick-Zack" and obviously "Deutschland", they are works of art.
I'm in my mid-late 30's and fuckin see em everytime they come to the states and twice in Europe. I heard Ich WIll when I was like 16 and that was it, I was hooked, best live shows hands down. Also, if you haven't heard them you should look into the band HIM, Right Here in My Arms or Wings of a Butterfly are good starters for them... and their Wicked Game cover is a personal favorite. Also, also, Atreyu, they're awesome and I used to go to a lot of their shows. We hung out with them a bunch before and after shows because my bestfriends cousin (also a good friend) did security for them. We'd run their security then hangout, sometimes for days. We all trained at the same MMA gym back then so they were an easy, fun gig and it was all the cred we needed to be hired. They used to be awesome dudes and a great band but they kinda went kinda Hollywood later and disappeared. They're considered Metalcore but there's a bit of 2000's emo in there. There are lots of screams and growls and sometimes they're hard to understand but the music is awesome. For them Right Side of The Bed from their first album The Curse and their cover of Bad Name by Bon Jovi are a good place to start. To ease in I'd start with Bad Name. Bleeding Mascara from their first album is much more hardcore but still a favorite because memories and music. I could barely understand half of it when I first heard it. Trust me though, all solid, good songs even if they don't make the cut for UA-cam, give em a listen.
Something tells me you are going to love Rammstein!! They can be an emotional roller coaster. Also, please try delving back into some earlier Jinjer, they seem to have hit the ground running some12 years ago and have left a trail of amazing live videos that show how they have evolved... Cloud Factory, Outlander etc etc etc..
You’re so cute! Luv ya girlie. 😊 I think this is my favorite reaction to this video. Gonna look for some more of you now. Hmm. How am i? Compared to what? Compared to last week about the same. Compared to a year ago I’m fuuuked up. So to speak.❤
On re-watching yr reaction/ thoughts on how this song deals with similarities between personal and band relationships, may I suggest the "Wallflower" video by Jinjer.. The gutsy poetic lyrics to me are sad but also cathartic. Tati makes dealing with introverted turmoil cool and badass!!
Try to find a newer video of sone live. It is mind blowing what a show they're putting on! Whent to their show last year in Gothenburg and apparently they were going through approximately 265 gallons of fuel every night!
0:25 - Don't worry about the pronunciation, the only thing you need to get right when you don't know how to say their name "the german way", it's the "stein" and you nailed it. 😉
Also, the lyrics are really cool, I speak a little German, I am quarter German and Hast means 'Have' However, Hasst means 'Hate'! So officially the lyrics are "You, you have me' but he changes it to 'You hate me' every other verse!
Seen them live 4 times in 3 different countries, last time in Gothenburg last summer. Always fantastic, and you can definitely feel the fire hit your face:)

that is fire jelly the band has on there arms, most people thinks it's supposed to look like blood, but no, there 6 feet from the bottom of the 20 foot flames shooting up and down, so you can feel the heat in the first eight rows of fans up front. Also, that's real electric current running down into the keyboards, it's from a huge Tesla coil that it mounted overhead. That's so cool.
I saw them live both times here in San Antonio tx and both were different and f**king epic 😮
Finally a reaction as good as their show! 💯
Their entertainment level is super high. But their engagement is often overseen. The lyrics and themes are always interesting and this voice of the frontman........is something else. They stand on their own I guess. An original band I say. Thank you. Btw: I'am having a day of, gonna do a bit of gardening, maybe buy some new clothes, talk with some friends, just enjoying the day;-)
I actually was in German class when these guys really took off (early 90s). I learned the language from that class and translating Rammstein.
Rammstein don't piss about like alot of bands. they bring it. Thank you Ashley.
When Rammstein says they're going to light up the stage, it ain't what you're thinking.
this... I definitely see to be true!
Most likely the top Industrial Metal band. Till Lindemann was interviewed maybe ten years ago and asked who he listened to and he said 'almost exclusively Marylin Mason'. Check out the full Rammstein concert from 2005 in Nimes, France. You'll love it
Incedently in interviews with the band members, you'll notice 3rd degree scars on their faces and arms. There is a lot of pyrotechnics that go on in their shows, and sometimes, they move into the flames by mistake. Yet the injured band member will complete the concert before being rushed off to the emergency room at the local hospital.
Best live Band ever!
Music Videos are the goat, from them.
There is no one else at this level.
There are really still people around who don’t know Rammstein, can’t believe that 😄
They were played in German Goth Clubs in the early 2000s, especially Spieluhr and Heirate mich.
They give the absolute best performances out there!
I have all their albums. They show their talents with many styles of music.
Thanks
Best reaction channel on UA-camz
Awee thank you!
Easily the best reaction to this song ever.
Thank you 🥺🤘🏻
Totally agree!!!!
The lead singer is actually a professional in pyrotechnics and more than likely had a majority hand in the set up of All of the explosions and fire
While Rammstein does some really excellent live performances ("Puppe", "Pussy", "Sonne", "Du Hast" etc.) they also do some absolutely beautiful music videos. Do not miss on "Radio", "Zick-Zack" and obviously "Deutschland", they are works of art.
Angst is really good too.
And Adieu ❤
7:22 "Does it (the pyro tech) even faze him?" Till: Nein! (No!) Perfect timing. :D
(The Deftones shirt looks fire too!)
Lovely. Love from Germany.
Deftones - only the three first Albums. Great video. LG from Germany, Munic
Trust me though, all solid, good songs even if they don't make the cut for UA-cam, give em a listen.
anywhere and everywhere they go, its sold out, Rammstein
"There needs to be MORE FIRE. Nobody must forget Rammstein."
There is only one group that can make French people sing in German of their own volition.
Respect from Germany,.... great emotions! 😁
Dope shirt btw!
Thanks!
Try to find a newer video of sone live. It is mind blowing what a show they're putting on! Whent to their show last year in Gothenburg and apparently they were going through approximately 265 gallons of fuel every night!
Got to see them in Chicago at Soldier Field a couple years ago 🤘 LILFAD
0:25 - Don't worry about the pronunciation, the only thing you need to get right when you don't know how to say their name "the german way", it's the "stein" and you nailed it. 😉
Their an amazing band, you should pick up their last cd Zeit, it's such a great album
Love the reaction!!! You HAVE to react to( Feuer frei) Live INSANE!!!
A pretty common saying among musicians: "A band is the dysfunctional family you choose"
YES
damn right rammstein is one hell of a show live!
Also, the lyrics are really cool, I speak a little German, I am quarter German and Hast means 'Have'
However, Hasst means 'Hate'!
So officially the lyrics are "You, you have me' but he changes it to 'You hate me' every other verse!
Another video that had great crowd participation was Queen: Under Pressure at Wembley.
