If you've made it all the way down here, thanks for taking the time to read though all my stuff :). In case you are curious, the vast majority of what I show on my channel is purchased by me. Occasionally, I will agree to partner with certain companies who will provide me with their product for consideration. I will ALWAYS mention in the video if a product is provided to me for review. I also make sure that the company I am working with knows that I only share my honest review of their products. If I love it, I will share that. If I hate it, I will share that as well. I will also always tell you why I love or hate a product. Also, I utilize Magiclinks to link my products for you guys. Magiclinks is an affiliate program, which means if you use the link to make a purchase, I will receive a small commission from the sale. I always appreciate you using my links to shop!
Thank you as always for watching and take care!
Hi, I understand completely! If you love makeup it almost becomes an addiction. You are always looking for the next best product! Your skin looks beautiful without it though! Hourglass products are always so nice. Sounds good…. I’ll keep it in mind when I run out of the ones I have. Enjoy your day, Dolores 🥰
Thanks so much Dolores!
I so appreciate your candid thoughts, Melanie. You’re a positive influencer and one of the few that I actually buy the products you discuss that suit me. I’m getting ready to try the fermented rice! Have a lovely day.
Thank you Colleen! I really appreciate your kindness!
I have been waiting for someone with a similar skin type to review this primer. I currently use the Hourglass Veil, and after trying the sample size, I splurged for the Value size. Their setting spray is also a Holy Grail for me. The combo of both makes my makeup look as good at 9 pm as it did when I applied it at 6 am.
It's so good! I need to try the setting spray. Do you think it's better than the Charlotte Tilbury?????
@@MrKongsMom I tried the Charlotte Tilbury in the green bottle for oily skin and really liked it. I am using the Hourglass Veil primer, loose powder, compact powder and setting spray with excellent results on my oily skin.
Great video! I would love to see your thoughts on say “starter kits” or ideas on items needed to start a skin care routine, makeup must haves, hair care must haves, perfumes to start a collection, etc
Noted!
Hi, my name is Amber and have a makeup addiction. It’s been 38 days since I bought makeup. 🙂 I have been eyeing this primer. I will be putting it on my wishlist for later in the year.
Thanks for sharing!! Welcome to overbuyers anonymous. Our motto is... CRAP, I did it again!
Perfect timing. Have to have an ultrasound on my thyroid and got to appt 20 minute early and wearing the same sweatshirt lol. I've never thought to do spf over primer. Like today, wearing the Paula's Choice spf, then primer in area of enlarged pores and bb cream. I love primer for pores and find it to be one of the most important parts of my makeup, so willing to pay when it hides my pores. Ugh ultrasound time.
Sending good vibes for a good appointment!!!! I just always do the SPF last because I am afraid of moving it around with applying another liquid product over top lol. Should not be an issue if it's fully set but it works like this for me so seems like a good way to go lol.
I have a definite skin care, makeup and home fragrance spending issue. I did a Marie Kondo style purge of my products and yikes. Having it all heaped on the bed was eye-opening. Good thing I love my products and blast through them fairly quickly.
I tend to go through a lot too. I do full morning and evening routines and then these "spa days" every Sunday where I do multiple masks and ALL the things lol! But I need to reign in regardless lol.
Hello! Yes I feel like I have a makeup addiction... lol. I have to really hold back sometimes but I did splurge on this primer and I reaIly love it. I look forward to your reviews because I also have oily skin.
Thanks for sharing!! I absolutely love the way this looks and feels on my skin!
This primer made you look younger
I hear you about overbuying makeup. I'm on a low/no buy, but my Achilles heel is eyeshadow. I don't even wear makeup often, so it's particularly silly to want more. . .
Oh yes! Honestly, I had to stop lookin at palettes for a while. My one exception and total vice is if Viseart comes out with new stuff I want. I ALWAYS cave for them because their shadows are hands down the VERY best and I cannot resist lol!
SPF should be ur first step after moisturizer and before primer so it can actually soak into ur skin .
What are your favorite go to shampoo and conditioner?♥️
Right now it's absolutely the Virtue Recovery line. Will not be witout it!
thanks for vid pretty lady. be safe
Thank you! You too!
I need weaning 😩
I thought nobody was reviewing Hourglass because it isn't cruelty free. I don't buy anything that has to do with China these days not that it will make any difference but that's just me. Thanks Melanie.
Hourglass is absolutely cruelty free Lynne. They actually partner with the Nonhuman Rights Project. They have been cruelty free since their inception.
Yeah it’s even on Cruelty free kitty’s site. No idea where you got that idea🤷♀️
In 2017 Hourglass was bought out by Unilever, which absolutely tests on animals. There are different levels of cruelty-free status. Hourglass itself is cruelty-free, but some choose not to buy from such brands since the parent company profits. In this case Unilever, who is one of the biggest perpetrators when it comes to animal testing. A truly cruelty-free brand is one that doesn’t allow animal testing of any kind (when required by law in certain countries, like China, or uses third parties to test their products) and isn’t owned by a company who tests on animals.
@@leticiaperez327 but….if you choose the brand under unilever that doesn’t test, then they also see that people are supporting that name. Lauder owns a ton of brands that are deemed cruelty free, yet Estée Lauder is not one of them. By choosing to buy from say Smashbox, you would send a sign to them that it is more desirable than their own brand. Money talks and these brands absolutely do follow trends on UA-cam and other social media. They feel the pressure. Maybe not Lauder….because well politically the owner supports trash.
