Because your makeup is such a quick rollover, it’s an excellent idea to date them.
Allie’s videos usually relax me, but even though I love series like this, it stresses me out that you keep so many things. I know it’s because I’m in my decluttering journey and I have learned to let go… so this videos make me feel like I used to, when I couldn’t part with things that I didn’t need. I completely agree. This series is kind of difficult to watch, even though I usually like declutter videos. It feels like “keep” is said way too much. 😂😂😂

@Danielle willis exactly. I don't understand why ppl get so fussy over it. It's no one's business but hers. If they like her videos so much to follow her then she obviously needs items to choose from.

For my own makeup collection, which is pretty small, I got little round stickers and put them on the back of my makeup items and marked when I opened them so that I know when it’s time to let them go. I would totally recommend doing that with new makeup and skincare you get that way you know how old something is/how long it’s been open!
Good tip. I label mine too, but if I forget something, I just go back through the "Buy Again" feature of the Sephora app. It lists everything you bought starting from most recent purchase date, which doesn't mean I opened it then but it usually does. It's all your orders in one place and all you do is scroll down through. Of course I don't have as much makeup as Allie either but it's a lot for me.
@@AllyKit Yes! I also look through email confirmations, if I ordered makeup from other sites to give me a rough estimate of when I opened the item :)

NYX Angel Veil is a dupe for Hourglass Mineral Veil; almost identical ingredients and I tried them side by side. Couldn't tell the difference.
Surgeon's creed: 'when in doubt, cut it out'. Maybe worth applying to declutter- When in doubt, throw it out!
Is it good for combo skin? I love a good dupe! 🙌🏻
I wish I knew the answer, because I have dry skin. It's first ingredient is a volatile silicone, so it is very 'slippy' when you first apply it, which is just what I want, (I use a lot of creams) then it dries down after a few minutes, so everything stays put.

I NEED to have that makeup room (and all the organization)! Actually, it would be a corner in a room, that would be FILLED with all my art supplies (paints, brushes, etc.). Even though I have "little" makeup compared to you, it is so unwieldy and trying to organize/store is a nightmare! I love watching your declutters, I love seeing what gives you the most JOY (you can tell when you get excited just holding certain products :).

Primers are definitely something I find to be the easiest to declutter. But while you don't need that many primers, it is your job to review, compare, etc makeup. Plus if it makes you happy to have that many, then who cares. It is your life and your collection. People just honestly care too much about what others are doing.

Allie, I’d definitely suggest getting a label maker and putting a date received and/or date opened on your products. I have n doubt that many of those products are expired. And with them going on your skin, I would be worried about getting a rash or breakouts from something that has gone off. 😬
My favourite primers are Milk Hydrogrip for winter and Nikkia Joy Cosmetics primer for summer

The Elf mint melt actually works best for me
Allie if u have never tried the Lancome La base pro makeup primer it's a must have!! I have never had a primer smooth out my wrinkles and imperfections like it does!!!
Your “mature” follower here. I have just a couple timers so far that work 1) elf putty-but for longevity it doesn’t work. 2) tarte hydrating primer-best for longevity too 3) Selestial elixir from flower beauty.

Okay, I have to say again (I did on eyeshadow palette part 2) - PLEASE make a "mini video series" using an eye palette you love done 3 different ways (3 videos) using some of the products you want to "dip back into" or "revisit" to see how you feel about them - then at the end show us the 3 looks side by side and what you learned? so maybe it is a 4th video? I don't know maybe I am the only one who would love this. I really just feel like listening to you talk about how you use the products is so education - it's almost like a twist on your "nothing new" videos??? Hope you are enjoying your sweet baby time! :)

Do you watch Risa Does Makeup? She is 49 and says she struggles with large pores. She does high end as well as drugstore. I would really trust her recommendations, she is very honest and has been on UA-cam forever. xo

What is a GOOD drugstore primer 4 sensitive, combo, acne prone skin that blurs & a not CRAZY expensive high end version U would recommend 4 me, Allie?? Right now, I use the Philosophy Hope in a Jar SPF 30 cream as a high end primer (when I remember LOL) & I also have samples of the ELF matte putty primer as well as the ELF poreless putty primer I use 2gether.
I rarely use primer if I do I use the elf power grip. Other than that I just use sunscreen
Do you have have like a date marker on these products or something on these that mark when you buy them so you know when you've purchased them to know when they've expired?

How about doing a makeup brand exclusive series? If the brand doesn’t have like a blush it’s free choice to use one from another brand. High end and drugstore brands.

I own two open full size primers and two deluxe samples that I alternate and I’m the one who feels like I have too many. What’s wrong with me??
There's nothing wrong with any of us who just stick to our holy grails. I have 2 primers (1 hydrating/gripping and 1 pore-filling) I use and buy over and over. But I'm just trying to look nice, and it's not my job. So I enjoy watching Allie in her glorious excess while knowing it's not for me.

@@TaylorOwen I've tried a bunch of higher end ones, and (for my skin, as it's very personal) nothing beats NYX Plump Right Back on my cheeks and forehead with Revlon Smooth and Perfect on my nose and chin.

If you choose to nurse the aquaphore can be helpful and useful in more places than just the lips… if you know what I mean? 😊
I'm not a primer fan. I gave a lot of primers a fair shake for a long time, but I wanted to simplify. I started skipping primer the last 2-3 years and my foundation actually looks a lot better and lasts longer. Instead of primer under eye shadow, a cream eye shadow works beautifully. But I don't use bronzers, highlighters, contour, setting spray, or color correct or concealer either. I have Bobbi Brown's wonderful stick foundation and it is not only a great foundation but it serves as a concealer too. Much simplified.
Who has a good drugstore primer without silicone for combo/textured skin?

Honestly I’m sure 80% of that is expired lol I feel since make up is constantly releasing you’ll forget about many of your keeps to retry because you’ll constantly be getting new ones. I mean whatever makes you happy! I love makeup immensely but I don’t know how that’s feasible to even try to keep up with using every product. I think you could use a different primer everyday and wouldn’t use the same one twice in one year 😂
What are you doing with all the "go" bins?? Maybe you can put together some baskets with a product or two of each and sell them off for everyone who follows you to have a chance of trying products??

I will probably be hated for this but you really should have relaxed and enjoyed your pregnancy instead of filming videos of clutter. Personally, I would rather see tutorials but I know that you have a little one now and you need time to bounce back.
