- After around 4 months anticipation, the Second Aussie Maker Meetup kicked off a week ago, on the 11th June. Around 30 makers from across 2 or 3 States came together in Sydney, to talk shop! It was a great event, lots of fun to be involved in. I took a bunch of photos over the night, all of them, terrible. 😄 Seems that my phone no longer is interested in operating in low light. So, seeing as I couldn't share any shots from the night, I thought I'd instead share some secrets - um, stories, about a few of the people who were there.
Nothing serious in this one, just a fun little video to talk about what was a great experience, and one of the key reasons why I stick around in the making game!

Great video mate. You summarised the weekend perfectly. I’m lucky and honoured to call all of you friends. This maker community of ours is amazing and when we’re able to get together, it’s even better. I had an awesome weekend and enjoyed having you all over in the shop. Thinking about the next one already.

Great video, Mario. And yes, it's the community that makes it special. I had an absolute blast up in Sydney (even though the traffic gave me the shits), and I was so happy to finally meet the Sydney makers ( 1 special one in particular). Love the video. Oh, and thanks for going easy on me. 🤨🤣🤣🤣
Sorry to hear the Aussie woodworker show was postponed, but how cool to hang out at Vic's joint even if it was a death trap haha.

Sorry I couldn't pop over, lucky I've visited Vic previously and seen the Chopper. I couldn't believe Ains NEVER checks her analytics... so I can confirm, it's just the way she is. Can't wait for the next one!
Bloody ripper, 7 of my favourite makers all in the one shop….alright 8…keep up the great reporting mate your killin it!! And I would love to see you throw out the challenge to build a bike like Vic…or can you build Vic’s bike???…… might gain traction if you did it….lol. Cheers 🍻

Super well said Mario, I cannot remember a time where I’ve had a constant smile on my dial for consecutive days 24 hours per day. These are special events that all shall saviour for a lifetime 🇦🇺🍻👍

Well done with the video I'm not sure about Collingwood supporters but I'll take you're word for it. Where's the blue's flag or poster you had in the shop at one stage especially now go the blues. Steve Tas
