I would like to thank my patrons for supporting me: Matthew Richards Music , Christian Simon, Mikael Mäkitalo, Erik Revier, Matt Hansen,Marcin Hostynski, Trattwald, Shady_gamer, Lorenzo Molino, Giancarlo Oprins, Kameron Griffis, Iver Halse, Stavor, Shnoogleheimer, Pete Howard, Weverton Oliveira, Joshua Straight, Franco Schröter, Lars Comstock, Tim Meynberg, Christian Kerlen, Ehud Assaf, Jon Liebig, Ryan Brooks, John Horn, Ryan Berno, Adam P and Mark Blauw
You should listen to the whole "Watershed". It's a masterpiece and a crazy journey, every song is completely different from each other but at the same time, they flow perfectly. It starts w/ a beautiful acoustic song and even female vocals in "Coil" and then it goes to "Heir Apparent" which you have heard how insane it is. It's a brutal difference but they manage to make it work. I'd suggest from this record "The Lotus Eater", one of my favorite Opeth songs (which follows "Heir Apparent" so it is masterpiece after masterpiece). Sadly they almost never play for more than 90/100 minutes, if I could go back in time I'd go to their concert in the Royal Albert Hall...3 hours of pure Opeth then I could die.
Merry Christmas Ruben! You can do Opeth ANY day. It goes with everything ( and SW/Porcupine Tree , Katatonia, Riverside, and RUSH for that matter!!!! !)
Check out Barren Earth, for example: "The Ruby", "Further Down" or "Set Alight". Could describe it "early Opeth meets Amorphis". Musicians are current or former members of Kreator, Moonsorrow, Amorphis, etc.
Used to be a huge Opeth fanboy, seen them 3 times in the past, but this album was the last one i dug. Mikael's voice changed afterwards and the new stuff just doesn't do it for me anymore. Still, one of the absolute best concerts I've ever been to (Into Eternity, Nevermore & Opeth, round about '05 I think)
Soo...let me get it straight...For the next 12 minutes I am supposed to watch some guy listening to a song and making his face looks stupid. Wtf is this whole "react" thing about? UA-cam has gone way too far...
The next Opeth album is going to be so progressive and complex that you'll have to buy it from your local IKEA and assemble it yourself.

Whoever suggested this is a genius. Always been my favourite Opeth song.
Such a perfect song sonically. Incredible emotion.
Excellent choice Ruben, that's three tracks off the Watershed album you've done now. Great stuff.
Ruben, your face during this song is priceless! :)
As soon as Mikael's vocals come in, instant goosebumps. I think he has the perfect voice for rock and metal.
This song just goes to show that no matter how much we appreciate Joakim Svalberg (the keyboard guy) we cannot give him enough credit
Opeth makes you feel like you’re listening to an entire symphony! I love it. This is one of my favorites too!
This being the final song from watershed is the greatest end to any album.
You should listen to Opeth - Moonlapse vertigo.
Yes yes yes.

Favorite opeth song by far. Badass outro too.
Awesome! Please react to Opeth - The Funeral Portrait
Fantastic song, grossly underrated.
Opeth - Under The Weeping Moon!!!
Haken - Veil
A new one which I'm sure will go down as a modern prog epic
Veil is alright
The Architect though, much better
Haken and Opeth are my recent faves!
Laughing is what I do when bands can make me feel emotion, Opeth can!
react to brave from katatonia., the singer from opeth is on vocals and it's such a great song!
Try My fears have become phobias by As Blood Runs Black. One of the first deathcore bands and probably not what you'd expect
Take my like!
Do ' i feel the dark' from the heritage album by opeth

You got to do a reaction to Burden!
You should check out Dragonforce - The Edge of the World if you haven’t yet. It’s unlike anything they’ve ever done before ;)
