Economic Crisis In Italy: The Real People Behind Italy's Austerity Crisis | Full Documentary

- The economic crisis and consequences of the strict austerity policies have hit the Italian people hard. Tax offices are being occupied while business people are taking their own lives in despair. We document the current mood in Italy from the point of view of those whose existence is threatened by this crisis.
Giorgia Frasacco, 33, is determined to save her family’s company from bankruptcy after her father killed himself. In her spare time, she runs a support group for the families of business people who, like her father, committed suicide in the last months.
Franca Stefani, 37, has been unemployed for over a year and is trying to raise her six year old daughter on 250€ a month while Piero Lospi, 47, recently lost his job. He struggles to adapt to this new reality and feels he has lost his dignity, social recognition and the sense of having a useful role in society. Finally, Gian Luca Brambilla, 50, runs a consulting business specialising in cutting costs in big companies. His problem is not getting work but being paid and his clients owe him almost an entire year’s turnover.
We follow our protagonists for several month, interweaving their stories.
This documentary was first released in 2013.

4:35 What this Guy describes happening in Italy is exactly the same thing that happened in America. But Italy absorbed the IFC better than the US unless they too have tens of thousands of homeless ppl and drug addicts living on their streets like many of America's major cities do.
Yoo Amerika Yoo Need Boorger and Starkbark yoo, Tell Biden to Create War with China n Russia n Iran n North Korea... America is in the House yoo
I used to dream of Monica Belluci when I was a kid.

Being there, done that. Now we live 10 year in Finland. Much better here.
Maybe you earn more money there
But you you won't get that quality life Italy had offered (cultural and overall)
You lose and we won by an inconsolable leaving the Italian territory 🦾🇮🇹
Task is done

TASK DONE 1
As an Italian, who vividly remember my times from 2008-13 this documentary is very misguiding.
Very biased journalism
We Italian were suffering, Yes
But not that desperate level as it was depicted in the docu.
Also why there's no man in this raging girls protest
(I think it's staged)
I remember in 2012 for 1-2 months there was a lot of protest and protesters were destroying shops, car, vandalism at its peak as this was rare in Italian streets
But I came from a lower middle income family and most of my friends were from middle income family too
We were studying in a public school
But we didn't saw that huge depression as you are seeing in the docu(but yes, in that time our parents were struggling financially)
And to be honest in Italy most of the people knows no s**t about politics
It's too complex and normal citizens always avoid this
I remember how most of the people didn't even know who was at the government in that time
But seeing back this, I can conclude that we badly needed this austerity act but our people were unrest(we always think about short term goals rather than big term solutions)
If the right austerity act was held for the needed time
Maybe we would be economically better after a decade, I mean now
But we fkd up
And still we can't/ don't want to understand this simply topic to save our economic😢
