  • It’s amazing. I literally come across a complete and potentially deadly system installs almost on a daily basis! Our new client had another “plumber” come out 2 weeks ago who “scrubbed” the cast iron boiler. But left after they: bypassed the roll out switch. Left gas tubing loose. Left the pilot burner wide open. And didn’t do a combustion test. Oh, and they never removed the cast iron burners.
    This video documents what we uncovered and the steps we took to correct the deadly situation.
    Central AC Service Call - Client Heard a BANG - thought it was gunfire outside - but instead it was her central AC unit. Going into the attic where the Goodman air handler is located we found the blower motor cap dead.

    "The thermocouple is obviously good but I'm gonna replace it anyway." Why? Genuine question - not bashing - just wondering why you would replace it when you know it is working. Is it just a matter of "this thing is so fscked up I'm not gonna risk a callback on a $15 thermocouple"?

    12:20 i thought he was being mean but rewatching i had missed the bit about the meter zeroing out. I find it helps people understand if they can form their own conclusions, tell someone not to do something a certain way or to do somthing a certain way, they wont understand the importance and reason. Have him see how skewed or invalid the readings could be.
    In fact itd be neat to see how sensitive these devices are by comparing relatively consistent measurements with differing levels of calibration "quality". Can they measure the oxygen and co2 of yourself breathing?

    Hi, why didn't you just clean the pilot injector, and set the injector pressure on the GV....

      I would also say the pilot was missing the orifice . Previous guy must have lost it. Needed to be replaced.

    That's why i like oil boilers that can be brushed from the top and also the side. Top only, forget it, cannot clean properly. Of course this one is gas and only got that dirty because of the faulty pilot.

    • @Joop5000
      @Joop5000 3 роки тому

      @@PipeDoctor Yes, gas is much cleaner, i prefer it for cooking also, i was just saying that when it comes to cleaning boilers, being able to brush it from top and side is always better than having only the top.
