😎Yo, after more heavy duty Traffic testing, I have come to the conclusion that "Protected-Left Turns" is more efficient in this case than "Advanced Split Phasing"
So, at 2:30 , go ahead and check the "Protected-Left Turns" If you want a more Efficient Intersection.
😎And If you need 2 lanes for left turns, just replace this at 1:22 with a 5 Lane Highway (One more lane bro!)

My sims do a lot of crazy lane changes, including JUST before entering intersections. The clips were short, but it didn't appear to be happening in that scenario. Is there a way to control that traffic flow killer?

Not impressed with the title and presentation, but left with the knowledge about connecting the roads to a roundabout and then removing the island. A big intersection with one lane roads like this i was unsucessfull in doing before.

We don't do split-phasing in America, the standard signal would use "vanilla" phasing, with the give-way feature enabled. Split-phasing is very rare, and only done in specific circumstances, certainly not at intersections like in this video with dedicated turn lanes.
Like a protected left? Almost all traffic lights where I live in the US have 3 or 4 phases
@@rowanmermel706 sure. (1) protected lefts, (2) through movement with permissive lefts, (3) other protected lefts, (4) other through movements with other permissive lefts. But having only one direction at a time, as in the video, is not common.

Amazing man, been looking for a video like this for a while because im trying to re create my home town Mississauga Ontario, (canada), and havent been able to find a way to create these huge intersections smoothly. I think this is the most up to date video ive seen this far, we cant really create it much better than this tbh. Great work. Ive seen ppl texture the small pavement areas that are different to match the surface of the roads so it all blends it more, and using hidden crosswalk paths over the turning lanes, onto the small pavement patch and a crosswalk to go to the other side.
