I love the use of hierarchy for different types of public transport. It's something that exist in my city and I love to see it being replicated in-game. Well done, Mayr.
The overhanging pedestrian road with the tram lines is so nice, I love it. The wavy paths and parks look beautiful too And hooray for my comment about the cars going over the grass being noticed!
I love your style of Gameplay. About the hierarchy of transport options: If you also link the bus lines in each adjacent district of your city, you will have a higher usage. Usually it takes longer to go bus->tram->bus than to use a car if you only want to go from one district to the neighboring one. So if you offer the option to go bus->bus the time for the public transport option is considerably reduced and the people in your city will chose it over the car more often.
2:40 the reason I think the stops need to be placed in this version of the game is that the network segments are much longer (granted the whole segment is modified), allows for more precise placement of stop pick-up/drop-off placement for pedestrian networks to be used.
I think you could have the same effect with just one step, where a stop could be created anywhere on the road while making a route, and a stop/shelter would be created automatically when doing so. You could then fine tune the stop after line creation and even change the stop to a shelter if you wanted to customize a bit more. I dunno, what we got right now seems so unecessary...
@@T4rgetGaming Stops need to be created explicitly because C:S 2 lets players create non-stopping waypoints for street fixing. Otherwise, the gake routes the buses dynamically as they visit each stop.
hands down one of my top 3 cities skylines youtubers 💯 can’t wait to see how the downtown develops, I think the waterfall office unique building would look amazing there and fit the style
Love that park behind the train station, love the ped/tram path over the transport hub, love the transport hub in general, love the short form video. Great work
The elevated tram stop is giving me butterflies! I just realised through this, that trams might just be the solution to build complicated metro systems with crossing underground stations, as long as crossing subway stations are not integrated as an asset.
This is a good transport layout plan. What happen with overlapping systems like i usually build is traffic problem and inefficiency in the line, either overloaded or underload. But the simulation is fake anyway, still making tons of money.
2:39 It's better for the stops to be placed separately because you can pinpoint all of your desired destinations first then think through and decide how to connect them efficiently.
I actually prefer the new bus/tram line system. It may be a little more work, but being able to preplan bus systems and differentiating shelters from stops, and makes it better for sharing stops when you have different lines sharing a stop
Well, you could have the option to convert a stop to a shelter and vice-versa after the stop was built, and even fine-tune its exact position. How exactly does this system help to preplan the bus network? And how does manually placing a stop make it better for sharing stops between multiple lines? Am I'm missing something? 😅
@@T4rgetGaming i mean, it lets me control where in the street it stops with more granularity and it allows me to pre plan by letting me put stops and develop around those stops
Still using the first CS. I love using trams to get people around my city and using busses to connect towns or take people to very specific locations. I added a bus stop near a tram stop that takes people to my school district. So my people wake up, walk to a nearby tram stop, board, get taken to a stop, board the bus, and go to school. They can also walk, bike, or drive if they wish.
I wish the tram and bus lines would set their own prices and place their own stops automatically based on demand. I feel that would make my city feel more alive instead of spending 10 minutes every 30 minutes putting up bus lines, train and tram stops etc.
Wow mate! Been a long time since I saw your channel, but I've got to admit, you've come a long way with your amazing skills! I am thoroughly impressed! Keep up the good work, buddy!
Amazing city, so much detail and attention to the public transit, plus the video editing is outstanding! How did you got an isometric view of the city? I love those takes!
Love it. I used to take a dedicated bus line to go to my university, which was located in another town. So I don’t know if buses are made for short distances. At least not here 😅
I like the hierarchy for the buses, but even a long line is local if has short enough stop spacing. Some of these bus lines could benefit from actaully meeting eachother (and the tram) aswell as bringing people directly to the city centre. The current system would not get you anywhere fast.
Really love the transport hub. But don’t it be nicer if your tram stops and bus stops is connected (close to each other) so people can easily change public transport from the bigger hierarchy (trams) to the feeder transportation (local bus)? Once again, I really love the use of hierarchy for different types of public transport!
The only thing that i would say about the buses is that it would be preferable to make the "oil industries" line connect to the tram lines like with the other bus lines
hierarchy - High-rar-key. (The R's in rar are as soft as you can make them, don't roll them) Probably alot easier to pronounce if you see it phonetically.
The only problem is that it doesnt work in this game. Each bus entering and leaving your bus station stops to give way to pedastrians both on entering and exiting the bus station. As soon as your population grows it brings whole thing next to halt. Same thing for taxis terminals in bus stations and rail station as well as car parkings. Had to abandon game for the time being in hope that they fix the problem. At the moment it is Village skylines game.
I have watched your videos for a few years now, and they all are exceptional! Also not a critiqe but i cannot look at not centered bus station at 0:45 T>T Why Paradox cannot allow us to center buildings T-T
Bro are you using any mods? If no please do so and introduce some big ass structures and Amusement parks or some tourist attractions…also can you add the twin towers if ya don mind💀

Always good when creators outline why they made their public transport and actually use hierarchy!
I like planting trees manually too, it's just so relaxing
Is there anyway to do it faster ?

I think you mean "intercity" train/bus lines, not necessarily "international" ones. (Unless your region has small city states, then it's the same.)
Love your video! It really calms my OCD! Tried to replicate it but feels so stress. Gonna keep trying.
Such a nice custom park dude!

I love the Circuit City and all, but I need the devs of Cities: Skylines II to add that gardening fee so T4rget doesn't spam trees anymore lol.
For creating new districts I follow the rule to create a train hub with a bus station for local connection to make a bigger swoop
thanks for geometry extazy)
The only thing that i would say about the buses is that it would be preferable to make the "oil industries" line connect to the tram lines like with the other bus lines
It does. There's one bus stop on tuat line right next to a tram stop and they're both connected with a pathway
I wanna ask, would you prefer to create two paths for one track’s different direction, or just use one path.
Im sure it was not your goal, but at the very beginning, the tram lines above the street somehow remembered me of the Munich int. airport
I wish I could comprehend all this, as easily as you doing... :')
