The problems with (most of) the questions:
#1(5:20): How are you ok that a 'handful' of incels are bad people?
*[So a few tarnishing the whole. Would you be willing to apply that standard to a race? A gender? A sexuality? That's pretty bigoted.]*
#2 (6:02): Who hurt you enough to make you do this?
*[SFO answers this well: (Possible) feminist asks if ubiquitous feminist reasoning makes sense without realizing it]*
#3 (6:36): Do you hate women?
*[A legitimate question for individual incels - Also a long-avoided reciprocal to a question feminists are hesitant or afraid to answer ("Do you hate men?").]*
    #4 (7:00): Any female rolemodels?
    *[SFO answers this well]*
#5 (8:50): If a woman were elected President, how would you react?
*[Incel is a traditionalist - not a problem if we live in a world where we are free to believe what we want, but a problem if we don't.]*
#6 (9:41): SJW asks a loaded SJW question
*[SFO answers this well, but watch (**11:40**) when the SJW **_LITERALLY CLUTCHES HER 'PEARLS'_** when the incel's answer displeases her!]*
#7 (12:47): What is it about 'liberal' areas that lead to behavior problems?
*[She needs to answer this question: "Do you think promiscuity is better than faithfulness?" Ask her again in about 10-20 years]*
#8 (15:34): What do you think of the shooters who claim to be incels or motivated by incel culture?
    *[Legitimate question and excellent answer.]*
#9 (16:41): What was the straw that broke the camel's back?
    *[Legitimate question, answer, and exchange.]*
#10 (17:51): Do you feel entitled to sex and intimacy?
*[As SFO points out, both question and answer suffer from same problem of the word "entitled/deserve".]*
#11 (18:35): Tell me something about incels that the media hasn't covered.
*[She was really sweet, and I was just waiting for the incel to say, "...so you wanna help me out?" LOL]*
#12 (19:53): You don't want to be an incel? Why not?
*[SJW girl again. Seriously, just compare this girl to the one before her (#11). A WORLD of difference based on being an apparent entitled SJW]*
#13 (20:41): One thing you wish the world knew about you.
    *[Solid question. Solid answer.]*

The only thing I don't agree with is SFO's analysis of the dude's answer to female role models. I feel like he was projecting his friend's story onto this guy. Not having any significant females or female role models in your life doesn't mean that you have trouble talking to women. But that's just what I got from what SFO said.

@@evenrik_2214 but again, this also rolls back to media portrayal. I learned of the furry community in 2003. Until 2018, I only knew of it as a sex kink, I hadn't seen nor heard anything about furries that didn't include people in animal costumes banging each other in drug-fueled orgies. Having no interest in such fetishes, I made no effort to seek out any other representation, nor to determine if that was the norm or an outlier.
Even now, knowing there's more to it than just wild anonymous sex parties, 15 years of programming still has that association ingrained in my mind. You say furry, I see a pile of raccoons yiffing on a couch.

It's funny considering this is a shaming line used to mock the pain of people. They're not actually interested in finding out *who* hurt the person but the premise of the question is meant to communicate something like: "Haha you just have that opinion that I disagree with because you got hurt!"
It exposes the two-facedness of these supposed "open, understanding and tolerant" people. They will try to mock, bully, harass, marginalize, censor and intimidate unless you 100% agree with all their opinions.

Even before incel became a thing, men who were unsuccessful in finding relationships have been mostly pointed and laughed at, called losers, been told there is something inherently wrong with them.
I think thats a big part of why we have an incel movement in the first place. How difficult is it to acknowledge that going your whole life without any kind of physical or emotional intimacy, probably fucking sucks.
Especially considering I have known many people who get antsy when they haven't had sex for a few weeks, but present them with a man who has never experienced that, and they automatically say he not only isn't good enough but will also actively treat him like shit. What the fuck did they think was going to happen.
It's like society is a prick who's constantly kicking a dog and then acts all shocked when it snaps at them.

Hell, even patriarchal family was structured to protect women and their children by ensuring a provider was around. Keep in mind all patriarchies held men and men first responsible for the household, they have most of the burden. Women were never subject to conscription and were never blamed for a failed household .More recently since the last school system reforms in the west, even schools accommodate girls at the expense of boys.

The story of Dev's roommate is crazy to me.
In Germany, most Dad's work full-time, all teachers are female and so on, so you don't talk to "real men" until you're one yourself and all your authority figures are female.
Combine that with the fact that girls go through puberty earlier and faster (plus Hypergamy if you like) so they tend to date older - sometimes significantly so - boys.
And you have a society where basically all women are hierarchically your betters. Ladies first for normal people, distant admiration for the girl thst is out of your league, respect for female bosses.

involuntary celibacy is a misnomer. these people often lack friends in general and that's the real issue here. it often has to do with their upbringing, where they didn't manage or didn't get a chance to build a network of relationships in their 10's / early 20's, thus lack social skills.

How I would phrase a response to that question is: "It isn't that I am entitled to sex. It is more like, society expects everyone to be able to have sex. Everyone is entitled to it, yet not being able to achieve that goal is deemed weird and foreign. Virginity for a woman is a blessing but man a curse. This pressure collapses on most Incels because they feel like outcasts, with their reproductive ability -- which is the highest, most primitive achievement of life -- being squashed, mocked, and ridiculed."

Exactly. My POV is that sex is hailed as this super great awesome thing and that it can be had and enjoyed with no strings attached, and yet, incels cannot achieve it. This is what breeds the resentment and embitterment.

This is a very good comment. It's not that people are entitled to sex, it's that everyone expects anyone to be able to have it at a somewhat consistent basis. Incels fail to do that and thus are shamed and ridiculed for it. Female virgins are _often_ girls with sufficient ability to keep their legs closed, which is why they're valued (not dissing Maui Caui), male virgins are guys who are deemed unworthy of intimacy by women surrounding them, which is why they're shamed.
Virgin shaming is predicated on the idea that a guy doesn't have enough redeeming qualities to deserve intimacy by women's standards. Slut shaming is predicated on the idea that a chick does not have sufficiently high standards. Both are based on a woman's level of control over the sex/relationship dynamic. It's based on women's judgement. God knows people love to make every issue gender-neutral, something that "goes both ways" but the truth is it doesn't really go both ways here.

Great thing about being short and at a disadvantage until that point I developed a decent sense of humor and am a good conversationalist, which put me ahead of most once I got in shape. I always thought as long as you make yourself presentable enough in most situations you will get a fare shake from girls. Enough of a window to get sometime in and develope relationships

      @differentlyabledmuslimjewi4475 4 роки тому +23

congrats on the GF. Still trying here. I don't know what is considered "short" anymore honestly by a woman. I'm about 5'10" but it feels like I'm seen as short. Might have to do with my shoulders not being very broad. What do you think?
But I do think the vanity has really gotten to me and really made me feel ugly to the point of looking into some extreme measures like plastic surgery. I realized that doing so is acceptable for women so much, but never heard of men doing anything. Like the guy in the video I have been working out a lot. From the opposite end, very gangly, but put on muscle enough to actually be able to feel normal. Still working towards being truly strong. I try to be interesting, go on trips, grow my knowledge, pursue my hobbies and passions.
The problem is I don't really know how to get my foot in the door. People don't participate in their communities anymore. Clubs, groups and the like are all populated by a dying group of people in their 50s and older it seems. I love animals and helped my mom when I was younger with a community that helped feed pets of poor and homeless people. Everyone was around 60 years old and there was one guy in his 40s. So that is a noble cause, but not a way to meet people people. I don't go to bars because of alcoholism. I've managed to interact with some people here and there, but never gotten a reply. Online dating has yielded a response rate of maybe %10-20, and of that I only ever got one person to meet in person for low key coffee date, my first ever mind you. Sadly she never talked to me again. But you know I do think that the big issue in large part is just getting my foot in the door. Without being really really attractive, it is hard to get to that point where someone is willing to sit down and get to know you. And this is the thing, I KNOW women feel just as isolated in this culture as I do or anyone else. So I wonder why so often when people try to make real human connections, everyone just ignores it and then turns around and wishes they had a "real" relationship, and connection with the people around them. This is an everyone thing though.
I guess in the end, it is that the stereotype is that people who want a relationship and can't find one, aren't trying, are just bitter and angry and this guy bucks that trend. I would HOPE people would say the same of me. But it gets exhausting and depressing. No one is an iron tower of will power, and when you don't have the self-confidence in the first place, putting on that attitude can wear you out pretty fast.

"She's talking about reducing the promiscuity which isn't about standards."
Having sex at every opportunity definitely will warp your view on selecting a partner and your own image of yourself. In fact, the more women have sex with various partners, the less they bond with each consecutive man, even after the first.
That really depends. If you're thinking of the stereotypical ugly dude and all that comes with it, probably not. But there are plenty of decent guys (looks, career, etc) that are passed over because women are used to getting "better" from one-night stands. It inflates their ego, they complain about "where have the good men gone?", then get cats in their 40's. Or they partied for their entire youth and only *now* (30's+) want to settle down after they've rejected any decent guys looking for a relationship (and might be divorced and/or with kids).

    • @coldeed
      @coldeed 2 роки тому

      @@3Demon100 a few reasons actually.
For one if it's monogamous as a normal standard (which is what the dude was pushing) you have both options and competitions leaving the market.
For another, virtues of an individual matter. If your only with one person then how they look is only one factor, you couldn't say, hedonistically have a person for their wealth, another for attraction, etc. In a more free and casual setting, being attractive doesn't even matter, as why limit your options? You can fuck 4 or 5 people for the same reason. Hell a person being perfect doesn't even matter, because you could have them and 12 others if this is nothing immoral.
And lastly to not be a scumbag. Having free and liberal sex has you view people more like a resource or service than an actual human being. I've done it, I used to buy into this garbage that it's ok to fuck a ton of people at once with zero commitment or interest in them if you made your intentions clear. Eventually I was looking at the chicks like toys in a toy box and thinking which I should throw out, dismissing them pretty much as soon as I was bored with them, and acted more like a selfish bastard. And I recognized that was the common behavior of the people I was around. Morally, you have no incentives to value people around you like this and because of that I just couldn't stomach my own distain for myself and those I was surrounded by. It's simply an exercise of greed and ego, and it makes you a shallow human being to place sex as this important over actually building a relationship with someone.
Hell that's why I prefer monogamy myself, and I find it funny that it's the same conclusion someone with no experience makes as well. It's just a super strong truth.
Men and women that sleep around but say that they're still capable of love and valuing their partners are like domestic partners that say they beat their spouse for their benefit. Kinda like how 1000 friends vs 10 will have weaker bonds and hold less value.

I'm now very ambivalent toward sexual relationships (I may be biased here, but sex is waaaaay overhyped), on the other hand I consider close friendships to be something very much worth cultivating.

They didn't get to see each other, because when you actually realise the "incels" are human beings, it becomes a lot harder to shout feminist doctrine and marxist theory at them, asserting they don't matter, when you can see their lived pain etched on their faces. Had there not been a divider, at least half of that crowd of question askers would have either not appeared, or been a lot more charitable in their questioning.
Edit: To clarify, only one or two of the people were like that, and the other question askers seemed delightfully intrigued and genuine. I probably shouldn't post a comment half way through the video, oops

Yeah sure you can work on making yourself a jester and be her emotional tampon but it isn't attractive. Looks attract and arouse. Being funny and witty don't. We're animals, we're not hardwired to turn horny and sexual because the partner is funny. If there is no genuine desire, there is no potential love and thus no relationship.
Anyway, 115lbs essentially mean that the guy used to be a stick figure. Being slim doesn't mean looking good or being fit anyway.

    • @edadankmemes
      @edadankmemes 4 роки тому

@@toplad8113 At the same time, it doesn't mean that you have to be the most attractive person (perfect proportions, genetics, etc) in the world to get someone. Yes, looks are important, but if you give off a good presence with stuff, such as your personality and/or your social skills, that will definitely be a big benefit.
Basically, paying full attention to your looks will make you overlook positive qualities about yourself, and then you will lose those positive qualities as you become more self-deprecating and depressed. I used to be that way, but after changing my mindset, which is not easy and took me months to overcome, I choose to give people the benefit of the doubt, and just try to think positively and not beat myself down. And the thing is, I still struggle with self-deprecation. I have moments where I slip into that depression hole again, and that's okay, as long as you get back up. That's what matters the most. Life will constantly throw shit at you, and life is all about fighting through those struggles, and they will never stop. And frankly, I prefer the constant fight rather than giving up permanently.
Then again, I still pay attention to my looks, however primarily for health reasons, with the romance and presentation reasons being secondary. Acne is so bothersome for me and it feels disgusting, so I'm in the process of getting rid of that. My current diet is inconsistent, specifically I eat a massive meal and then fast for the rest of the day, so not only does that affect my weight negatively, but it also gives me gastrointestinal issues. Inconsistent sleep due to my off circadian rhythm not only give me eyebags, but also decrease my productivity, especially with my art. I am trying to change my lifestyle in order to better my health, and changing my appearance comes as a bonus.
Not everything in life is about getting laid with a dame, there are almost ten billion people on this tiny ass planet with a diversity of different and also intersecting beliefs, and patience is a damn good virtue. This stupid idea that you have to marry and copulate with someone and have kids as soon as possible and shit is such an outdated belief that the radicals push onto young and/or impressionable people. Marriage is expensive and kids are expensive, but that goes into a whole other can of worms about the government and economy and shit. Also some people are given out shitty hands and others were given better hands from the card deck. However, people can't be grouped into a tier-list from best qualities to worse qualities, because we all have intersecting qualities. Not only that, but qualities can change, and you can push through them. But some people are given some really bad hands, such as a psychological or mental illness like depression (myself), or life-threatening autoimmune diseases such as cancer. But even in that state, it's always better to put up a good fight rather than committing suicide, taking vengeance on others, or just letting the disease take over you with no effort. When I see someone is a worse disposition than me who never gives up and doesn't resort to being petty to others or not trying at all, I look up to them. I think, if they can be strong, I can, too. Rather than saying something like, "oh well I'm not them no I can never do that".
I've rambled on for too long, again. But the whole point of this was that always assume life will never be easy, but never give up.

It might not fix society, but it would certainly help alleviate the incel problem.
Fewer partners, and top tier partners quickly being exhausted from the dating pool would encourage women (and men) to lower their standards and give an incel a chance to couple.

    • @toplad8113
      @toplad8113 4 роки тому +14

      *(and men)*
I doubt men could lower their standards any further, they barely have any to begin with. Men who are selective are the "top tier", because they have sufficient mating opportunities from the get go. The vast majority of men have standards relative to their perceived worth, which is either not much (incels0, or just enough (average Joes).
Imo, if society and laws don't incentivize promiscuity, it would help a little without necessarily fixing the issue. After all, if women didn't benefit so much from divorce (alimony+child support), if they didn't have access to single mother welfare and if men had some reproductive rights, I fully believe there would be less single mothers and overall less divorces.
Companionship doesn't survive thanks to love (and love is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed), it survives thanks to compromises. Society and laws don't really encourage women to make compromises.
I don't think it would alleviate the incel problem though. Incels are young boys who were raised fearful of girls, bathed in "respect women" instead of respecting themselves. They lack self-esteem as a result. Their embitterment and resentment is due to a lack of empathy. The way society (so men and women alike) perceives men's issues needs to change. Also, in schools, boys are raised in a similar way to girls. It's a neutral schooling system that kinda benefits typically-female behavior. It doesn't really fit typical male behavior who tend to have an issue with attention, are more erratic and are less submissive than girls.
The introduction of girls to schools came with major reforms which changed the schooling system as a whole. Maybe boys need a "reintroduction" to schools with some reforms too.

Damn, now I feel like an incel myself. "Involuntary celibates" describes me perfectly well, but I hadn't heard of the term "incel" before today.
I am an autist in addition to having depression and social phobia (they often come along with autism). I have fear/problems to talk to strangers, especially females, to connect to people in general, to make smalltalk, to keep conversations going, to make friends, etc.
I was always the odd man out and the years-long mobbing victim. Luckily only the "cool" males bullied me, not everyone, especially not the females. (So no hate for females.)
At the moment I have 0 friends, never had a girlfriend and haven't lost my first kiss yet either. Time runs, I am nearly 30 now, and it doesn't seem like my social life is changing anytime soon... even though I search for a girlfriend for around 10 years now. Without any success.
The chance to get the first girlfriend as a teenager, to go to parties, collecting experience, is missed and won't come back. Females don't crave the losers with 0 experience. It's a vicious circle you can't escape from... you have 0 experience, so you don't find a girlfriend to gain experience, so you stay with 0 experience and forever alone...
I even have a psychologist, but only around 20 minute sessions every 2-3 weeks don't give me any chance to open up. And she doesn't really give me the feeling that she wants to help me either. She doesn't ask anything important, only smalltalk, and she doesn't try to analyse my psyche for that matter. She simply doesn't help me at all...
Prostitutes could theoretically solve to not be celibate, but that is a horrible idea. Getting that intimate with a stranger makes me uncomfortable, prostitutes often aren't doing it voluntary, there is no love, you have to always use a condom, just a short amount of time and it costs a lot of money.
I would love to have a girlfriend/wife that I know for a long amount of time, does it voluntary, loves me, is STD free so that a condom would be optional, has all the time in the world and costs no money.
I also love my mother... but she isn't exactly a role model, be it as a mother or as a wife.
As a wife: She cheating on my dad, she confessed to me that she isn't even sure if my dad is my real dad, then cheated on my dad again, even catched a STD, and then they divorced on very unfriendly terms and with hatred for each other (my father more hatred towards her, understandably).
As a mother: She never recognized or stopped the years-long bullying when I was a child... she had to raise us (me and my sister) alone, so we never had any money... she worked a lot, while raising us alone, so she was never really there for us, in addition to little money... she slept with a lot of different men and we had to hear it through the thin walls all the time when we were little... she only saw and recognized my depression and autism through coincidence when I was 22 years old, a bit too late... she hasn't really teached me anything to find a girlfriend. In her defense, I was her first kid and she was young when she had me, I guess she tried her best, even though it wasn't exactly a good job she did.
Some scientists say that sex is a basic human need and that prolonged times without it (or without any physical contact for that matter) could cause depression. Furthermore it shortens the lifespan / life expectation not to engage in it...
So yeah.... I feel to some extend that we all should be entitled to get sex. To some extend it seems vital to life itself. But that entitlement doesn't carry over to a specific person. I don't think woman A or woman B particularly own me any sex... I just think that of all the 3 billion women out there, there should be a woman, any woman, who should become my girlfriend/wife so that I don't have to die lonely :(
I would be there for her too, so it's not like I am particularly selfish. Depending on the woman I may worship her.
My 2 1/2 years younger sister had a bunch of boyfriends when she was a teenager and is married now.
Even ugly people, long-time unemployed alcoholics, criminals or physically disabled people are able to find a partner!
It feels like everyone can find a partner easily!
But I am unable to! It's really frustrating and excruciating :x
(But I don't feel like hurting strangers would change anything either. Ending my own suffering sounds sometimes like a good idea though... but the uncertainty of death stops me.)
Sometimes I wish the system of arranged marriages weren't demolished, that they still were a thing. At least then I wouldn't be lonely...

I feel ya on that, lad, but the best way to solve this is to leave behind marriage and dating for now. There's a lot of things ahead of you even at your age, go out and improve yourself, mate. But don't do it for women, do it for yourself.

You should check out bulldog mindset. He talks about dating, mental toughness, wealth building and a bunch of other stuff, catered specifically to men. He's pretty good to say the least.
And arranged marriages will not work in the modern era. Most women nowadays are independent and don't have to depend on men for survival, unlike when arranged marriages were common. This means they would rather be alone than be with some one they are not attracted to. How do I know this? Well, I live in India where arranged marriage is still kinda the norm. The women here will reject men without hesitation if they don't find them attractive which is completely different from what things used to be just 20 years ago.

But in my free time I can't move my body out of my bed, the depression is all consuming. If it would be simply laziness, or a lack of willpower, then we could simply remove depression from the list of mental illnesses / disorders...

@@saisameer8771 I may look at it. But I don't plan to pay money for it if it is one of THOSE guys.
Yeah, arranged marriages would need to be arranged by either the parents of both parties, or the government. And then the man and the woman would have to agree to marry each other. As long as a single side is against it, it failed. Today isn't what it used to be. But to be fair, in the time past it may have been more often than not been forced marriage in comparison to arranged marriage...
But in my eyes marriage isn't about dependance, but about having a partner and family. I don't think every female would be against it. Especially if the parents try to find a good match for their child...

And marriage, atleast to some degree used to be about dependency. Nowadays things are much easier on average so people are less likely to marry and have higher standards, especially women. I don't think women in general are against marriage. It's just that they want to marry some one they like. Not someone their parents or the government decided for them.

As a former 'incel' (the term didn't exist in the 1990s), it's something most guys grow out of eventually.
My only advice to current male incels is to commit fully to your daily self-improvement: physical, intellectual.
Call it cope, but, at 45, I'm incredibly grateful for my life today.

What are you talking about. You seem to have this idea that the incels blame the world for their problems and that they won't/don't take accountability. In most of the incel forums/comments I've read, they fully understand that they're not the "good men." Whether it be they're ugly, out of shape, socially awkward, poor, etc., they acknowledge their flaws and bemoan them. You don't give them that credit.
The real issue is: should they improve themselves and rectify their situation in life? Yes, probably. Do they? Usually not. They'd often rather complain and just "accept" that Chad can get more girls than them.
To be fair, though, no matter what 99% of the incels do to improve their situation, they will still be worse off than Chad. That's where a lot of them get bogged down. They see the apparent futility in their efforts and get upset that they aren't at the top of the social/sexual ladder.
But the incels do acknowledge and recognize their own flaws.

Also, I went from being an incel to getting girls semi-regularly by learning how to be funny and developing charisma.
However, when I watch vids of jacked male models going on Tinder, for example, and doing the most outrageous, weird, sexist, etc. shit, and still getting tons of girls instantly wanting to bang them, it makes me upset.
That said, I do acknowledge that some guys are just at the top of the sexual/social ladder. People are at the top of the socioeconomic ladder, and that doesn't bother me. I know I'm not a billionaire--not even close--but that doesn't make me upset.
I think it's important to recognize extremely attractive guys in the same way. They're just at the top in terms of the dating world, and there's nothing inherently wrong with it.
I still improved my situation and can enjoy the company of girls I couldn't even dream of when I was an incel.
-edit: sorry this is a super exhausted me rant, please take it with a grain of salt.

I was really thinking about this the other day. I think incels are stuck in a state of teen hood were they are struggling to make that transition to adulthood. maybe it’s through trauma. It’s so sad because there is so much potential in every young man out there. They get so fixated on the fact they don’t have a body like “chads” when most people who they consider “chads” had to work their ass off for a physique like that. They should see it as motivation to be greater. Not to put other men down because of their own insecurities.

This guy gives me the impression he has a mother that did not want her baby to grow up. She is the source of his mental outlook.
All the Incel’s I know have one thing in common; all these men were raised by single mothers.
Single mothers are bitter towards men and they dump anger they have towards men on their sons.
The subconscious is destroyed in these sons. Their subconscious feels hopelessness. When they try to meet women, before the conversation starts, they have already rejected themselves.
Some of these men have panic attacks every time they tried to talk to a female. Some men even turn gay because any companionship is better than no companionship.
These men are not weak, they are brainwashed. The worse thing to ever happen to a man is to be raised by a single mother.
Also, dominating mothers also push their sons towards becoming an incel or gay.
That being said, in my adult life I have met women who think they can do anything to their child and their child is required to love them. Beat, torture, maim, etc... the child is require by law to love the mother.
To fix this, woman need to think about whom they want to procreate with before crapping out babies.
If people cannot think like an adult, then they should not be having children.
