Can you make a video talking about the combat sport from Burma that the rules are borderline bare knuckle because the cloth they have over their hand are not that sturdy.You have to knock a person down at least four times in one round in order to win and if that doesn't happen even if you beat the person the entire time it's a draw so you can only win by KO. Jon Jones is 6'4" with long arms and super athletic, you'd think he'd dunk with ease even if he never tried it before. My son was an army ranger. One day he got to watch Delta force train in the field. One Delta force member fell 50 foot out of a tree and broke his arm. It had bone sticking out and he wouldn't let medics take him in the ambulance until he finished field stripping and cleaning his weapon. Now that was a true man in my book dedicated to the oath he took.
This one hits home, me turning 40, being overweight, and playing rec leagues and the way I play, helps me put things into perspective and deciding not to play anymore, time to hang up the kicks. It was a good 28 years, lot of trophies, game winners, miles and miles and injuries. It was a good run, hopefully Tom heals properly and gets to live a normal life going on.

I’ve torn both of my patellar tendons 9 years apart but never with a broken arm. I could not imagine having to compensate for moving to the bathroom. His first big victory will be to shower in comfort and without fear of slipping. I just remember feeling vulnerable with out the knee imobilizer on

I had a patellar tendon rupture. I was 17 and found out later I had ruptured it while playing basketball because during track a month earlier I had actually strained the tendon and partially tore it without knowing. The athletic trainer also did not know and didn’t tell me (I still blame him). I carried on like normal with track. Was by far the worst injury I’ve had and I don’t wish it on anyone. Had to have a screw in my knee and very very large scar. It’s much worse than ACL which everyone thinks is the worst. To be fair I never worked out my thigh muscles and you need strong thigh muscles to be playing hard in whatever sport you do. Was apparently still pretty good at track without them though.

I tore my patella tendon October 2016on a dunk attempt. I had just had large doses of cortisone 4 shots in the glute and packs of methylprednislone in like 14 days for poison ivy. If you get a cortisone shot dont do anything explosive. The rehab was real tough and I couldn't walk until late February. I can get up to nearly dunk again and am pain free thank god. Alot of hard work and constant rehabbing all since 2016.
I remember trying a backflip, slipping and didn't get enough rotation, got my hand behind to brace my fall and by doing so dislocating my elbow. The pain was just too severe..watching this brings back so much memories.. 😭
He is still going to live with two very major surgeries and injuries. Not everything is about $$..that injury was no joke tbh I wouldnt want to see anyone go through that
I got the same tendinitis freshman year in high school and it sucks it feels like someone is hammering a hot nail into your knee mine was so bad that my knee cap was misaligned for 4 years as a result cartilage was growing around it so anytime I bent my knee you could hear the click from 20 feet away

I remember trying a backflip, slipping and didn't get enough rotation, got my hand behind to brace my fall and by doing so dislocating my elbow. The pain was just too severe..watching this brings back so much memories.. 😭

I got the same tendinitis freshman year in high school and it sucks it feels like someone is hammering a hot nail into your knee mine was so bad that my knee cap was misaligned for 4 years as a result cartilage was growing around it so anytime I bent my knee you could hear the click from 20 feet away
