If I may, I'd like to suggest that finding a dermatologist before you have a problem is a good idea. Many doctors today are so busy they can't take new patients. @@blueseptember2174 If I may butt in, if you think it's funky, have a dermatologist check it out for you. Caught early they remove it and it's gone. Or it may be nothing. I had squamous cell on my arm, and the symptoms were (not giving medical advice here and you may be different) a small red spot which began to be itchy. Still didn't think about it until scratching took off a "crust' like a tiny manhole cover. Darker red underneath. When the doctor saw it she was pretty sure what it was and did a biopsy. (which didn't hurt). After a definitive diagnosis, she excised it. The procedure didn't hurt at all (they numb it), and it didn't even hurt afterwards until I rolled on it while napping. Even then, one acetaminophen and it was fine. If it's on your face, a MOHs surgeon or a plastic surgeon will take it off to minimize any scar. And then it's gone. I'm sorry to run on but if anyone out there is scared, and avoiding a trip to the doctor but think they may have a problem - my advice is to just go.
Thanks for this, Dr Dray. As I've gotten older, my skin on my body is much drier and I've noticed some thinning. I've also noticed a lot more tears. I normally LOVE what Dr. Dray recommends but not this pillow. It's very stiff and hot, it gives me a neck and shoulder pain, hard to fall back asleep with this pillow. Passed it to several family members but they all ended up giving it back😅
I've been on my boyfriend about skin care & he's notorious with hand injuries & it looks like he's been in a battle. He actually bought some petroleum for his hand today & now I hope he'll use it. It's so true as you age that skin care is more important than ever.
I have been sleeping on my back for 9 years now but unfortunately gave me neck pain I spent much money trying different pillows until almost 3 years ago I got the sleep and glow pillow by your recommendation and what a difference! No more neck pains and I love how my skin looks when I get up in the morning 😊 I am 64 years old and looking good! I got the one for back sleepers and another one for my sister ( she sleeps on her side) and she love it too! Great investment.
Another tip that's great for sleep wrinkles (I have a buckwheat pillow BTW), is lifting your mattress 30%. I have a hospital bed (disability) and it's set up high so I don't have to bend down (can't), but it is also set 30% in the front and 15% in the back. Sleeping "lifted up" helps. I never get sleep wrinkles but I think the buckwheat pillow also helps.
what a TREASURE you are, Dr. Dray! I'm just beginning to use tretinoin and was looking for tips, when what to my wondrous eyes should appear .... the dermatological pot of gold! 😲 😁 Subscribed immediately and embarked upon my dermatology education. I've learned so much and am confident that I'm now equipped to use tretinoin successfully, as well as protecting and hopefully reversing a lifetime of damage to my 63-year-old skin, especially the neck, which has suddenly got me looking like a turkey. LOL. It's impossible to get an in-person appointment with a dermatologist faster than nearly a year, I'm astounded and so pleased that we get this incredible encyclopedia of real deal information FREE on YT from a board-certified physician, not just some influencer of unknown origin. Thank you so much for providing this invaluable information. I appreciate you. 🤩
Happy Friday! I tried the new Eucerin tinted mineral sunscreen this week and love it! 🤗 I bought the last bottle of it at my local Target. It's so hydrating and looks very smooth on the skin. Will be my go-to this summer when it's too hot to wear foundation. 😍 Menopause has sucked the life out of my skin. I use baby wash in the shower and always moisturize head to toe while still damp. It makes a huge difference!
I 100% agree! The sensitive formula looks dark when dispensed but I have a light to medium skin tone with neutral undertones and this was perfect for me. It did not make my rosacea react, there was no burning or stinging, no pilling under makeup. Very moisturizing and a good price. Thrilled.
I'm only 34, but have had to switch to tinted moisturizers instead of foundation because the foundation just sits weird on top of my skin....especially If it's full coverage. It just looks like I smeared mud on my face, lol. Since I switched to tinted moisturizers that actually sort of "sink in" to the skin instead of just sitting on top of it, it makes my skin look younger. Getting older sucks! I'm VERY fair skinned so finding a tinted moisturizer that isn't orange is hard....but I'll take looking like a tangerine instead of looking 20+ years older because of a foundation that doesn't look good on my skin.
@@mysticmama_3692You are still very young at 34!! Mind sharing the sunscreens that “ sink in”” instead of sitting on top on skin. I also prefer those, but hard to find, especially if waterproof.
Hi thete Dr Dray, is there a way that i can decrease already existing pillow creases around my mouth. Great content and thank you for your advise over the years.
I tried the Sleep & Glow pillow and it did not work out for me. Not high enough lift. I’d like it for awhile then I’d hate it. Kept trying to adjust but to no avail. Their warranty is not long enough. Then I found out have shoulder arthritis which probably contributed to lack of success with this pillow..
I have used the Sleep and Glow ( which I saved up for) has made my long term skin creases by the nose almost invisible after a couple of years so it has reversed aging Better use of $ than many other anti aging‘treatments’ and it is super comfortable too
This pillow is on my list! Each christmas i buy one on my list product (pillow, led eye perfector, nanograf, radiofrequency device, etc…) My goal is to cumulate the benefits of each process 😊
I had a basil cell that had to be removed from my leg and a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my decollate. It amazes me how fast my derm scans over the body but does not miss a beat. From scalp to toes. Things I would think are nothing she is so skilled at spotting. I grew up playing outside all day in the sun when there was not sunscreen. She said a lot of damage we accumulate is from childhood. I have been a fanatic about sunscreen, driving gloves, etc.
This is making me think of what I’ve read about the use of the herb nettle this week. It’s anti inflammatory and can be used to help rashes, eczema, psoriasis etc. and seems to have a valid track record! ☕️👍🏻

Hi Uncle Charlie. Is actually Saturday morning and I haven't events so probably won't see the Saturday video early but I'm watching this one and do you take that herb orally as in a tea or something? I need to find an herbalist or something
I bought this years ago but it didn't work for me. Even with the extra lift put on, it was way too "short" for me. On the bright side though, it did start my journey to sleeping on my back which I thought could never happen for me. I use a cervical pillow now.
I tried that pillow but it gave me the worst neck pain. Even without the extra inserts it was way too tall. If they make a super shallow version of it I may buy it again
Great video as always. I have the pillow, however , I didn’t find it comfortable I’ll try using it again now that you explain how to used it. Thank you
Here in Australia, a politician's hairdresser was able to see a worrying mole on her head which led to diagnosis and treatment. I grew up on the east coast, close to a popular ocean resort. As a child and teenager I spent almost EVERY sunny day playing outside without sunscreen. Swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, and of course sunbathing. As a young adult I actively pursued a suntan and even utilized tanning beds to boost the suntan look. Now, as a senior, I have extensive sun damage all over my body. I have had many AKs and a couple of basal cell cancers removed. I'm so glad the suntan look is not fashionable like it used to be. However I do still see some young people sunbathing! Keep shouting from the roof tops, Dr. Dray! Suntanning will ruin your skin, age you, and even kill you.

A very thorough and informative video Dr.Dre. I'm going to have to watch it a second time so that I can master that skin cancer screening monthly routine. I was aware that you can get skin cancer behind the ears in on the scalp. The sun does powerful things such as change the color of my hair so I knew that couldn't be good!
Saw the title and was waiting to hear about some red light therapy or fancy product. I forgot where I came🤣🤣 thank you for delivering useful information when I was expecting fluff which is something you never do. That’s why we love it here🎉
skin aging is accelerated by lifestyle factors, including smoking, tanning, excess unprotected sun exposure, drinking too much alcohol, and diet rich in refined sugary processed foods
ears i knew beacuse when i first started watching you and learning to apply sunscreen i clearly remember you saying "dont forget the tops and back of your ears" as they are raised from the plane (of the face) and get direct exposure. Easy to learn when you have such a good teacher such as yourself 😊
Some of these tips are helpful for people with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome as we also have thin fragile skin that tears and bruises easily. I'm 35 and recently sliced my finger open by touching the edge of a cat food sachet. The EDS community would love a dedicated video about our skin needs.
Hi Dr Dray. I'm curious if you would consider doing a video on nicolau balus syndrome. I know its rare and there's limited content covering this condition. Thanks !!!
Skin cancer is no joke, does not just happen to "sun worshippers", and can be overlooked by a GP, highlights the need to see a derm doctor. One parent (80+) had lumps that were shrugged off as "fatty tumors", however during a hospital stay a doctor did a biopsy followed by a scan: metastasized melanoma (spots on most major organs). Other parent (90+) gets skin checks every 6 months and has AKs removed every time, in addition to removal of 4 skin cancers. Cumulative exposure to the sun over time. At the time of their respective issues, neither had had significant sun exposure for 20+ years, and even longer since the last sunburns. I now wear sunscreen everyday (took a long time to finding one that my skin tolerates), even when I know I will only be outside for a little daylight.
So FYI: Lorry Hill has a video on some of the non-invasive beauty products Kim Kardashian uses. She mentions the Glam pillow. She noted the high price tag on it & linked some less expensive pillows in her description.

By the way, compression socks don't have to be the ugly brown ones. There are really fun ones targeted for the medical field and athletes. Extreme Fit even makes Christmas, doughnut, and unicorn prints, to list a few. They have roomy toes, too.
I understand your vid was targeting wiser people but I had a melanoma in my late 30’s. It was on the inner thigh. Luckily a stage one but I had plastic surgery to cover the hunk of skin removed. The cancer looked like a quarter size freckle and had been there a long time. But over time it darkened and was tested. Was not raised or looked like pics of melanoma. I did a deep dive on melanoma in women. The inner thigh and backs of arms are the most common areas. I never wear sleeveless anything. I always sunscreen arms and legs. So if something worries you get it checked out. I see a cancer dermatologist specialist yearly and get checked with nothing on to include the blow dryer on my scalp. BTW, I was not a sunbather but burned as a small child which is an indicator of possible future skin cancers. My son, who is also fair skin, deployed 3 times in hot desert countries. His wife had me look at a place on his forehead that was not going away. I learned from my cancer specialist places that have the pearl look could be cancer. It was. Skin cancer is no joke and not just for “wiser people”. Wear sunscreen and check your skin often.
So glad to hear you are ok and happy you caught it early. Wish your son the very best in his treatment. My 42 yr. old son was just diagnosed with melanoma on his back and will be having surgery next wk. You are correct, not just for wiser years. Sunscreen for all.
When is it proper / effective to air out a simple cut wound, without needing a bandaid? Or how long must I keep a bandaid on for the wound to heal properly? Thank you.
I recently ordered the Sleep and Glow pillow and was incredibly disappointed. I'm in Canada and ordered from the Canadian site, I'm wondering if there could be somewhat of a difference. Mine seems smaller than what Dr. Dray is holding up, with sides that are a lot more squished up and not as tall as what's shown in the video or the images on the site. I've found it to be pretty uncomfortable so far, but have only tried it for a few nights. Also, the pillow is made in Russia. This is not disclosed on their site - they simply say "made in Europe" and I can't help but suspect they did so on purpose. Given what is currently going on, I would not have purchased this pillow to begin with if I knew it was made in Russia. I'm personally very disappointed in this brand and will be inquiring to see if I can return it.
This pillow is a game changer. I was skeptical, but it really made a difference. I'm a side sleeper, and this pillow prevents my skincare from making my pillowcase slimy because the side of my face doesn't really touch the pillow now. It also helps me sleep on my back more comfortably.
I just use a neck pillow. Mine is very small and just big enough to support my neck while I sleep on my side. I think I paid $10 at a home goods store.

There's some great information here Dr. Dray. Speaking of blood vessels, my hands have aged a lot ( I'm 72 ) very thin dry skin with vessels being very prominent. Would retinol help for just the looks? And on one ankle, the blood vessels have started to itch, always in the same place; it feels like a bug bite but it isn't. It's been going on for about 6 mo. now. Thank you again for the video. Happy Spring 🐣
I woke up today with a crick in my neck and a line down the side of my face that looks like I lost a knife fight. I have used Down pillows (silk pillowcase) my entire life because I have back and neck issues that get exacerbated by foam pillow. I never knew “sleep wrinkles” contribute to permanent wrinkles. I get some hideous sleep wrinkles…🥺 So I ordered the Sleep & Glow pillow & used Dr Dray’a discount. It’s worth a try! There’s a 30 day money-back guarantee, and I am not shy about returning things I don’t like. To the comments about the cost…believe me, I get it. My Down pillows cost $200+, so the cost of this one is the same as my usual pillow budget (I’ve had pillows last for 10 years…). Also, I’m 57 years old and I’ve worked my tushie off my whole life (still do), so I can feel less guilty about “self-care”. This pillow is particularly appealing to me because it looks like it will have nice support to soothe my bad neck that was injured in a car accident and never quite recovered. Thank you for the tip, Dr Dray. Hopefully this will be a good investment.
Sleep &Glow have the worst customer service - I love my pillow, but the silk pillowcases are really poor quality. I bought two silk pillowcases and even though I have washed them According to the instructions, they are falling apart even though they are only a year old. Sleep & Glow only give a 6 month limited warranty on the pillowcases, so they refused to replace them 😞

I work a very physical job and my skin takes a beating anyway but it's definitely gotten worse. Appreciate all of the information and helpful hints. Happy Friday! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a fabulous weekend! 💙
I normally LOVE what Dr. Dray recommends but not this pillow. It's very stiff and hot, it gives me a neck and shoulder pain, hard to fall back asleep with this pillow. Passed it to several family members but they all ended up giving it back😅
Thanks Dr. Dray all important topics.
Excellent video Dr. Dray!
Dr dray: get excited
Me: alredy was girl.
Love putting her videos as background noise and listen while doing house chores or cooking
This is such an informative video, so grateful for it thank you, I listened to it more than once.
Great information for us older girls!! Thank you!!
Hope you’re all having a great Friday xo

Thank you for this informational video. You are always a pleasure to watch❤
Thrilled.
@@sandra37cooks That is me also, light/medium w/neutral undertone.
So glad to hear it is working out well for you 👍🏼
I'm only 34, but have had to switch to tinted moisturizers instead of foundation because the foundation just sits weird on top of my skin....especially If it's full coverage.
Thanks for the pillow info but I don't care for foam pillows....they get too hot. I like the My Pillow...has worked for me with a silk pillowcase.
I love my “My Pillow” Some one suggested silk pillow case & I’m going to give it a try!
I bought one thanks to you Dr Dray, I absolutely love it , going on two years now💯💯💯
I tried the Sleep & Glow pillow and it did not work out for me. Not high enough lift. I’d like it for awhile then I’d hate it. Kept trying to adjust but to no avail. Their warranty is not long enough. Then I found out have shoulder arthritis which probably contributed to lack of success with this pillow..
I have used the Sleep and Glow ( which I saved up for) has made my long term skin creases by the nose almost invisible after a couple of years so it has reversed aging Better use of $ than many other anti aging‘treatments’ and it is super comfortable too
Thanks for the advice on how to protect our skin...great video.
This pillow is on my list! Each christmas i buy one on my list product (pillow, led eye perfector, nanograf, radiofrequency device, etc…)
My goal is to cumulate the benefits of each process 😊
Can you talk more about the research around sleep wrinkles?
Hi Uncle Charlie! Happy Friday!! I have several books on herbs and their uses. Nettle apparently has wonderful healing properties. I'm very interested in natural medicine. I'm a vet tech and we actually use some natural meds for healing when all else fails and they work! Peace, blessings and joy to you, friend. 🌱🙏🌱🕊🌱☕
@@marylawman8603 that’s cool! Well I started taking it we shall see! God Bless! 🙏
Hi Uncle Charlie. Is actually Saturday morning and I haven't events so probably won't see the Saturday video early but I'm watching this one and do you take that herb orally as in a tea or something? I need to find an herbalist or something
@@sable7114 they have both form of it! 👍🏻🤠
How can I use it for eczema?
I bought this years ago but it didn't work for me. Even with the extra lift put on, it was way too "short" for me. On the bright side though, it did start my journey to sleeping on my back which I thought could never happen for me. I use a cervical pillow now.
I tried that pillow but it gave me the worst neck pain. Even without the extra inserts it was way too tall. If they make a super shallow version of it I may buy it again
I need shallow/flatter pillows, too.
Thanks Dr Dray, very good information to share with us wiser folks. Good reminders and new facts for people that know it all🙈.
Great directions for self-check!
Great video as always. I have the pillow, however , I didn’t find it comfortable I’ll try using it again now that you explain how to used it. Thank you
Here in Australia, a politician's hairdresser was able to see a worrying mole on her head which led to diagnosis and treatment. I was impressed that the hairdresser said it is something they are trained to look for on scalps. I now ask mine to look for anything odd, I have more hair than a highland cow so would be very difficult for me to ever see it.
love the video! but the new mic is making the audio sound kind of sharp
Thank you Dr. Dray for your always valuable expertise and tipps for health, beauty and sun protection.

I’m a Costco member. I rarely checkout the online site
A male friend found the Sleep n Glow Pillow & the silk pillowcase very useful after he had a hair transplant and had to sleep propped up laying on his back.
My sister still uses the SnG pillow I gifted her a few years ago. She found it particularly comfortable after she had dental surgery.

What lotion or cream is the best for your hands at age 65
Great video; Can any medications age people?
Great question! Would be great if Dr. Dray did vid on that topic.
Is there any thing positive about skin aging? This is good information, but it makes me feel sad and old.
I feel the same...very depressing. Also, if I had only had all this info when I was in my 30's. 😢😢
I agree however I am not sure I would of taken this as serious as I am not. I only started paying attention when I noticed my mom starting to have skin cancer. It was my wake up call. And then when I started having skin cancer and creepy skin was I so upset with myself for not understanding or realizing how important taking care of my skin was. Ugh@@Shirleybird65

That’s why we love it here🎉
I’m curious, isn’t all skin aging? When does accelerated aging start? And what are the factors that age you more in what periods of our lives?
skin aging is accelerated by lifestyle factors, including smoking, tanning, excess unprotected sun exposure, drinking too much alcohol, and diet rich in refined sugary processed foods
Okay, I splurged and got the sleep and glow pillow! It won't ship until the end of the month, but I will keep yall posted.
@H just got it in the mail today. Recovering from pneumonia and lying on it, it's already so comfortable but we will see how sleep goes
Hey Dr. Dray , happy Friday! Great information 😊
Morning!
ears i knew beacuse when i first started watching you and learning to apply sunscreen i clearly remember you saying "dont forget the tops and back of your ears" as they are raised from the plane (of the face) and get direct exposure. Easy to learn when you have such a good teacher such as yourself 😊
Love the term wiser years !😊
Great video for us old people.
Some of these tips are helpful for people with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome as we also have thin fragile skin that tears and bruises easily. I'm 35 and recently sliced my finger open by touching the edge of a cat food sachet. The EDS community would love a dedicated video about our skin needs.
I second this!
Hi Dr Dray. I'm curious if you would consider doing a video on nicolau balus syndrome. I know its rare and there's limited content covering this condition. Thanks !!!
But sun is the best source of vitamin D. What is your solution Dr.Dray?
Thanks so much good info!
So FYI: Lorry Hill has a video on some of the non-invasive beauty products Kim Kardashian uses. She mentions the Glam pillow. She noted the high price tag on it & linked some less expensive pillows in her description.
Love your videos so much! Just wish the audio quality was has good as all your advice 💔

I mostly bought the pillow cuz it looked good for relieving neck pain. I had to buy it because I was in so much pain. It is great!
I love you Doc ❤

So you use a neck pillow and a normal pillow?
can you make a video about pro skin Aesthetics Vitamin C and Collagen Daily Face Moisturizer - Reduce Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Anti-aging, Advanced Brightening Day Cream - Cruelty-Free Korean Skincare For All Skin Types . I want to know about this brand is a good brand or not
There's some great information here Dr.
Have you tried wearing compression knee socks? I wear them everyday, and they help tremendously. I wish I had known about them sooner.
That pillow doesn't have good or very many reviews on Amazon. I guess since you can return it's not that bad
Yeah it's definitely not worth the price.
Sleep & Glow only give a 6 month limited warranty on the pillowcases, so they refused to replace them 😞
Yeah...seems like a shady company
I have and love it. No more face wrinkles that last til 10am Dr Dray is the best!
So glad to hear 👍🏼
