This is a star wars video about video games, but not jedi fallen order with cal kestis or battlefront 2 by ea and dice, the force unleashed, or even lego star wars the skywalker saga. I hope that game has characters from the clone wars, The Mandalorian, and the book of boba fett. I sure do love the prequel trilogy, sequel trilogy, and original trilogy as well. I hope we get the Obi-Wan Kenobi Trailer soon starring Ewan Mcgregor and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker

Honestly I really like the Dantooine Mission with Falon grey, all because you get to fight clone troopers during the Galactic Empire, literally the dark times comics put into a battlefront level, I wished more star wars games and media like comics and/or shows of the current age in general did this more often, literally one of my favorite obscure areas in Star Wars
I agree with you. But godddd that's exactly why i hate that mission, i really hate the feeling of being chased while searching for safety. Especially the part where you had to come outta the hangar to plant explosives and free the obstructed hangar door, while under fire from all those troopers. But still as you said, it really puts into perspective on what the jedi were facing during the dark times

I believe you may be becoming a Star Wars video game channel. Noticing more Star Wars themed videos, which seem to be giving you the most views. In my opinion, that's a good thing tho. Liking the channel so far, interested to see where it goes. Star Wars may be a great way for you to get people interested in your content, which would enable you to switch to anything you would like down the line, unless you wanna keep this up. I'm good for either. :D
I think I've run through my Star Wars ideas for now, so I'll be mixing it up for a bit, but I'm sure I'll make more Star Wars videos eventually!

Omg, the PSP games. I remember playing them till the break of dawn on a school night. The post-Battlefront 2 PSP games really showcased some of the cool concepts that could've been for BF3, like ground/space maps. Anywho, love your videos! Elite Squadrons on PSP is my third all time favourite Star Wars game after Fallen Order and Force Unleashed.
It's really nice to see someone review Elite Squadron for once.
I can probably provide some context for the "99% complete" quote. It refers to the game reaching alpha; I think the person who made that quote said as much. Alpha just means that the assets were mostly all made; they weren't going to make new maps or heroes or anything like that. But development after alpha usually requires months upon months of grueling work (including crunch time) to make everything functional, pretty, and fun, so I give much more credence to the guy who claims it was more like 75% done. Guy 1 talked about asset production, Guy 2 talked about labor hours.
Also, I'd argue that BF2 2017 is an adequate successor to the lost BF3. Don't get me wrong; I wish for a number of changes; but it did adhere to the class system, cover all of the cinematic eras, and eventually get Conquest, so there is a lot of good design and focus in there.
Alpha, in the LucasArts sense means a content-complete game with nearly no bugs (beta being the equivalent of gold master). Free Radical didn't reach the alpha state in time, LucasArts cancelled the game.
@@CloneCommOmar Interesting! I think you might be right. The alpha of Battlefront 1 that was leaked last year does seem to be largely bug-free. Still, even with a game as relatively simple as Battlefront 1, and another as mostly planned-out as Battlefront 2, both did require a number of months (and, for BF1, major changes to design) of additional work before they went gold. I can only theorize that the alpha stage of BF3 would have been longer, due to the complexities of a much larger project, and so I doubt that months of additional work = the remaining 1% needed to be complete.
I was _so_ excited for Battlefront 3 back in the day. I remember seeing concept art for it, and they had some awesome alternate universe stuff going on, like an evil old Obi Wan. I didn't know it was being worked on by Free Radical though. I wonder what caused Haze to be such a bad game, you'd think the studio behind TimeSplitters would have been able to put out another good shooter.
i remember this game in my childhood, i absolutely loveddddd this game. X2 and X1, were badass and the whole mustafar fight where X2 becomes a Jedi, and such and choosing a class was so sick.
You can play Battlefront 3 in Battlefront 2 (2005). Unfortunately, only remade maps, but I enjoyed it very much.
I will never forget that one time when on the last Endor level where you had to take down some AT-ATs i ran out of ammo and i was on the last health piece. All i had left was this weird... vibrosword? And i used it to take down those walkers. I literally traded 10 minutes of my life for "fun experience" of pocking those walkers with a stick until they blow up.
Heyyyy the DS version isn't that bad. In fact, its story is actually more coherent because it has more story than the PSP version for some reason. You actually get shit explained like why you are with the rebels and it's easily the best version of this pretty bad story.
If you are looking for a good Star Wars DS game though, I'd actually highly recommend Jedi Alliance. Its gameplay is solid for a purely touchscreen game and it has a lot of uniqueness and a decent chunk of content, whether it be varying character interactions or unlockables. Also the DS version of Republic Heroes is pretty good because it feels like a Jedi Alliance 2 more than a port.
Yeah, I absolutely loved the DS version. Though I didn't think the story was all that bad. I enjoyed it for what it was.
I just found you from the force unleashed port video the other day, and it came right at the perfect time! I've been meaning to replay it on my phone emulators, and the showcase in that vid helped me decide which version to pick.

Both Elite and Renegade squadrons WERE THE STUFFFFFFFF. Had so much fun playing on my PSP almost all day.
The ds version actually explains a lot more of the story. X2’s dad uses FORCE HEALING to save him. Yep. Rey doesn’t even get credit for that discovering that power

I was hoping youd show legacy! Legacy was a really fun mod that I worked on, El_Fabricio and iamashaymin are the main leads and they are both awesome. I'm also glad you properly depicted BF3, most yters pretend BF3 was some amazing game cancelled for no reason, but after working with BF3's assets for the last few years i can assure you it deserved its cancellation. Nice video! (although being new here, i do not get your hatred for kota, hes in ES because from what i know, Kota actually first appeared in BF3 and not TFU, but do not quote me on this) Oh and one more thing, story is missing from ES because it had to be compressed, the missing things *were* there in BF3 (like lukes capture) but not in ES

This is my new favorite UA-camr, I used to watch my older cousin play is on his psp every time I Went over there, I’ve seen a few vids and you just keep unlocking forgotten memories I have talking about these games. You actually gain your first force jump during the order 66 level. You have normal jump until that level. The Jedi guy tells you to jump up some rubble and he kind of sounds like he can tell x2 is force sensitive. Also I loved that you used the Ark level shadow the hedgehog music in the vid
I like the plot of Elite Squadron. X1 and X2 were clones (or like clones with The Force) of master Feroda. X2 didn't execute order 66 because (in my opinion) he or didn't hear Palps' message or something stopped him (maybe The Force). So X1 joined bad guys and after death of Plapatine he got his own little army, and X2 become a jedi.
It sounds strange, but hey! Come on, that's The Old Canon! Everything there was interesting.

Poor Free Radical, I think using Haze as an example of their output is a bit unfair considering the troubled development. I think they would have had a better time if they didn't have to wrestle with making a PS3 exclusive, their work on GCN/PS2/Xbox was exemplary.

I remember playing this on the DS. I think it had a different story.. Like how you and Ram Kota go to Geonosis and how the Jedi X1 and X2 are cloned from heals you as you're dying. Saving your life.

I used to play the absolute daylights out of The DS version weirdly the story is more fleshed out on that version.

Elote squadron is epic, the multiplayer is fantastic, the fact that during matcg you can go in the enemy ship is so cool
I played this on the DS.The controls were so bad. I remember fighting General Grievous, that blue jedi in the beginning and I remember the final boss but I remember nothing else.

There is a mod that tried to recreate bf3 in bf2 and its pretty good but unfortunatly its probably dead because the people that made it only participated in drama all the time until they had no interest in continuing it...
And the ds version wasnt bad it was pretty ok for the ds and free radical were first and furmost ex rare developers that made time splitters and not just the guys that made haze...
This is my favorite Star Wars game ever. The ground to space combat is probably the coolest thing ever. Think of Star Wars battlefront and No Mans Sky put together. 😱

Jokes on you, Elite and Renegade Squadron were the reason I got a PSP.
I was going to say how its a little unfair to judge Free Radical by Haze when the Timesplitters and Second Sight games were excellent and you should play them, but then I realized that maybe especially to younger gamers thats the most mainstream game they ever did. Mostly due to the big marketing push dubbing it a “Halo killer”. Timesplitters 2 was in terms of reputation Quake III for console gamers, a Gen Z-er like me only ever got one of the games by coincidence I guess. It was past its time by then, as Future Perfect flopped or underperformed despite being one of the best console FPS campaigns ever

It wasn't really hard to understand what was going on in the game, X2 narrated the story between the levels, with cutscenes. The game was one of the best on PSP
