49:36 Badr’s advice to new podcasters
I had the pleasure of hosting the talented Badr Milligan, who generously shared the wealth of experience he has amassed over his 11-year journey in podcasting. Badr kicked things off by touching upon his personal growth through podcasting and spoke passionately about how this medium enhances confidence.
We delved into how he cultivated his skills in spoken communication and the significance of nurturing one’s passion, as evidenced through his creation of “The Short Box: A Comic Book Talk Show” and “The Next Spin”.
We discussed the mechanics of podcast production, and Badr emphasized the value of outlining for a seamless podcasting experience. He gave us an exclusive look into his workflow, from conception to post-production, and how an outline guides the editing process.
Badr also shared his experiments with newer platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and UA-cam Shorts to give the audience a taste of the evolving marketing landscape.

Great interview. Great tips and insight. Love the discussion about indie podcasters not being Afraid to ask for support from listeners. I find this to be very true. Keep up the great work!

Great interview. I have been listening to Buzzcast for many months now and I only found out about this buzzsprout video podcast by chance on my Buzzsprout dash. I wouldve been here earlier if you mentioned this series on Buzzcast.
Also I would like to share a Podcast Outline Tip. I recently started repurposing my social media clips as the outline for my podcast. I've been podcasting for for about 3 years (9 months on Buzzsprout), and a videographer/editor for almost 20, and this has been the most seamless way I have found to generate scripts and slides (made in Canva). Coming from someone who loves editing, this is a gamechanger in terms of efficiency. Just a tip. Thanks for this series. Loving it as much as buzzcast so far!
