Jason's neck is the unofficial 5th member of Metallica
😂😂😂
I don't get how a human headbangs like that. he's literally the emperor of head banging
Big kneck skinny arms that's some damage he's done to his body
@@FirebrandAL His successor is Gojira's bassist. What was his name? Jan-Michel? Anyways, he is insane in the live shows
I love this comment!
Can we acknowledge just how lit the hype into the intro was?
i was literally looking for your coment :-) huge grin on my face, thanks to that heavy as hell intro
Sorry, we speak English, not "deathcore kiddy".
Every member of Metallica could be replaced except James.
@@Hellwyck you very obviously don't.
@@palmerlp cliff couldn’t.

Or the drunk uncle who is way to drunk, but still offers coors light to his 10 year old nephew. Papa Het
He is like the uncle that has a band named Metallica, who would’ve though
Kirk looks like his wife!
@@Thelittleonesaid Kirk is his wife
Lol bc he is so cool
I'm thoroughly convinced that James goes into every show completely thinking it's his last one he will ever do. I've never seen him not have energy and passion. He truly loves metal and loves his fans. I don't know how one band tours literally to every continent and plays with so much passion and strength every single show. They are not an album band, they're a touring band
Agreed, 100%,?
green day do pretty well with their energy and passion
My Main Man James!
It's because Cliff was the original bass guy and he was a fucking legend with his massive headbanging. I like Jason but Cliff was the one who was crazy and perfect with his presence. Jason kinda copied Cliff
@@2nd100k well they have to have something 😆
5:03 that short pause after "it's the last time you will" gives me chills .... for decades.

The security guard whose James loogie hit has remembered that for decades, too!

Metallica when you can actually hear the bass is unmatched
Imagine hearing Cliff play it, and the parts that Kirk now play.
How about when a decent drum kit is used let alone the sound of it in the mix?
bass in metal is not used for solos and all that crap. Bass should fill the gaps and bring the melody to it's fullest, not to be a 3rd quitar.
@@xtrmbeast rules are dull
@xtrmbeast guess lemmy never that memo 🤣
Cliff is a legend. I love Robert. But this is the best Metallica. Jason is pure metal.
Rob sux
You’re not wrong. I feel Jason brought something live that none of their other bassists. His backing vocals were awesome too.
Jason's true talent was underutilized in Metallica. I have seen him play live with his own band, in which he sings and plays bass, and I honestly think they sounded better than Metallica.
Jason is still My favorite bassist bro! 🤘🏼
@@robertworkman1419 Jason 👊🏻👊🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
James is epitome of a true rockstar..still a badass..
And Lars is trying sooo hard!
@@heather3383 That is what I feel about Jason. He tries way to hard. And just comes across in all clips, like some insecure teenager that is trying to impress his friends by acting angry, and is just stiff all together. Look at, James, especially in the eighties early nineties. He growls show aggression, but is still super laid back.
James' voice was still so young. I wish we could stay young forever. Those were great times to see Metallica on tour.
Ive seen em in 2012. and 2019. and both were the best live shows ive ever been to!
Rain both times and they just killed it so hard i still get goosebumps remembering Zagreb 2012. almost 10 years later.
Go to a show i promise they deliver!

Lars isn't a drum technician, but his style fits perfectly with metallica and thats all that really matters

Why is the bass floating in the air and playing all by itself?

No probs, man
Jason is the most METALLICA bass player of all time. He was there when the band was awesome, late 80s early 90s. Kudos to Jason and all the shit he had to take from James.
Cliff was the best overall. Technicality wise, it's Trujillo. Jason was the best at playing with passion and his "HEY"!!! Is the best in the business.

I was born in 1991, in brazil.
I discovered metallica in 2011.
All my family is pentecostal, so i was the only one who likes rock n roll.
Here in brazil things are expensive, specially an international rock n roll band concert... So I only had money to buy something like this after 2015.
But since I had discovered metallica I have decided to learn English by myself in order to understand metallica songs...
I'm thinking I'm doing some progress with this language (I'm not 100% engaged)
And then in 2019 I had bought my first ticket to metallica concert and then the covid started...
I had waited for 2 long years to met them at morumbi stadium, here in Sao Paulo in 2022.. that was my day!!!! The best day of my life...
Come more time jamessss!!!!!!
Metallica stands forever!!!!!

Fantastic audience... 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, we reached another millennium (2000) and the good concerts and happy and free audiences are over. No phones, a paradise.
Lars actually drummed really great in this. The double bass and different fills were such a great touch

Ye he was only a whole 1/8 beat behind the bass instead of 1/4 in this one 😂
89-95 was the best era of live metallica,James rocking the mullet still with his prime voice,Jason with badass backing vocals and bass playing,Kirk shredding the solos and Lars still could play his own songs lol
Legend has it... James' hawked loogie at 5:09 is still flying
Even most Metallica fans don't realize the impact their 2nd and especially 3rd albums had on the rise an explosion of metal.

i listen to this every day
Jason was absolutely class
I recorded this set on a tape from a radio show in Ireland in the mid 90's, I listened to this on repeat, when I did schoolwork, when I walked or cycled somewhere, any chance I had. This cemented my devotion to Metallica and I spent my teens wanting to see them live before finally getting the chance in 1996, it was well worth the wait
James is one of the greatest frontmen of all times with Dave Gahan, Dio, Ozzy, Layne Stayle, Rob Zombie, Rob Halford and of course Bruce Dickinson, for tell a few of them, but James was very special in the 80's like some kind of metal animal. Now is like a retired lion but still good.
