I always respect and love em, but damn, I miss the real Metallica who used to never give a fuck, joke around tons, fuck with the crowd, be lewd, rude, and funny as fuck. They went on "family friendly mode" and ever since, I'm like, nah. C'mon guys. WTF happened to the good old days? In my mind, the present should be more supreme to the past, but that never seems to be the case with songs and live shows. Glad I saw them at the tail-end of the 94 tour where James still had a shaven mullet and wore shorts, my absolute favorite version. Maybe in an alternate universe, they went punk and are wild a.f. lol Who knows?

I play the drums for 30 years: Lars is literally (!) playing the most generic and basic kind of "hobby level" stuff any rock/metal drummer can do after 3 months behind a kit with an absolut minimum of talent. Seriously. NOTHING is "good" about Lars Ulrich.
