- Swedish grindcore band NASUM quickly rose to become one of the most influential acts of the extreme metal underground. But when lead singer Mieszko Talarczyk died in the tragic tsunami of 2004, NASUM instantly ceased to exist. Eight years later the band's surviving members embarked on a world tour with the intent of ending NASUM "the way it was supposed to - exploding in a ferocious, blasting frenzy, not wither away at the mercy of tragedy."
BLASTING SHIT TO BITS - THE FINAL SHOW is a documentation of the band's final, emotionally and sonically pulverizing show in front of a thousand fans in Stockholm. The film applies a raw DIY aesthetic to show the band's final performance as it was, while incorporating new interviews where the band tell their story.
The film is also available on DVD from Selfmadegod Records.

@@richpittman666 May 28th, 2012. It was Your Enemy, Landmine Marathon, Brainoil, and Nasum at the old Oakland Metro before they moved to the new spot. I had to look it up to make sure.

So many things and projects just stopped due to Mieszko's unfortunate happenstance.
Not being available for his smile, warmthness, kindness, expertise and correspondence. His memory lives on eternally. His impact cannot be understated.
Mieszko will always be missed, but Nasum is forever.

Nasum and Napalm Death are my 2 favorite grind bands. I have to listen to them regularly when i'm at work to block out the annoyance of people around me with headphones. That Grind Finale collection is my favorite from Nasum. Blasting my eardrums to bits.

When I saw them in 2012 at the reunion show, they didnt even mention or pay tribute to Mieszko, which I thought was disappointing.
We dedicated songs to Mieszko every night.
