Good interview Brian, a big guest for you this one especially with you being a big fight fan. I'd love to see you get some more boxers and mma stars on your podcast, nothing against Lawrence but prefer these without him as he's not much of a fight fan really.

Important to find a balance also. Make sure you also find time to be kind to yourself as otherwise the rest of it is pointless. Don’t work away if you don’t feel the benefits of it. By all means, strive for a purpose but don’t get sucked into the mentality that you have to work tirelessly your whole life - it depends how steep your ambitions are but it is a mentality that I have seen wreck a lot of people.

This guy has my utmost respect. I was so sad to see Khabib leave and I thought that was it for any Muslim guy to be able to compete against what he had done for the sport but Kamaru is a breath of fresh air. Shear determination and will power, only people who have a certain discipline to their work and life can relate to what he is basically sayin, outworking your peers etc. Reminds me a lot of The Rock when he came to WWE. I have 2 boys and a girl and the relationship I have with my daughter is entirely different to the boys . Both special but there is a difference, the boys need to see me treat women with love and respect, she needs to know what it’s like to be treated with love and respect. Obviously it works both ways and is more rounded but I don’t want her to accept anything less than she deserves, whereas kind of happy for the boys to struggle and strive and make it for them selves ….. probably wrong these days tho huh 🤔

I've been watching Kamaru since his debut , and damn , I'm really proud of where he has come now. This was a great podcast. Only blemish was saying that Colby beats prime GSP. GSP has the highest fight IQ , smartest training regimen and insane mindset. Greatest jab in the sport , ragdolls elite wrestlers. I have been watching MMA since I was 8 , and he is the greatest the sport has ever seen , period. GSP would be Kamaru's greatest ever challenge , and I wouldn't put it past either of them to beat the other.
