K so, I'm a fairly new subscriber, and I gotta say, Casey, your videos always make me laugh. Even if it's just a brief, rapid exhale through the nose. Puts a smile on my face every time.
Oh my goodness I have been messing with that same TV tracking shot and tried your screen replace tut, track went so dodgy near the end and could not fix. It would be great if in the future you could show us how to fix bum tracks. I tried stepping one frame at a time but everything just went crazy. Also who on Earth always smacks the dislike button, crazy, who would do that... Sigh, anyway we love the videos 😁
I love these tutorials and your website. I have a question on cloning, sort of, how can I zoom in to a piece of footage to better use the cloning feature of paint mode?
Good video, however, I still don't get the added value of a matte control. What you did could also be done on a merge node with the same video feeding into both the green and the yellow input, right? Also there seem to be a lot of options which I havent figured out yet.
Hey Casey, in your videos you got a halo around your mouse cursor. How do you achieve this? Is this a little tool/app you use (which?) or do you track your cursor in Davinci Resolve and apply that halo in post?
The foreground input is where you add a matte or mask to change something else. If you wanted to say, use part of the existing mask, you could limit the effects of the matte control node by connecting a mask to the blue input. Hahah hope that makes sense.
Can you do a vedio just explaining in brief about all the nodes/effects in the effects library in fusion , PLEASE !!🙏☺️ ITS really gonna be helpful to know what each one is capable of .
Hi Casey. I’ve really enjoyed learning a lot from your your excellent videos. I am thinking I’m getting a new Windows 10 laptop with 16 GB RAM. I often see recommendations for 32 gigs or maybe more. Do you think 16 is still good enough to run Resolve?
Hey has anyone else had issues with Resolve. I keep getting this issue where my gpu usage spikes to 100%, and then it stops responding and then I gotta close it out. I’ve heard it’s due to a certain nvidia driver update but I wanted to see if there’s a workaround. Thanks!
My pc cries when I make any change in a fusion comp in any tab. It won't play smoothly right away as shown in the video...I try to do as much as I can to avoid using fusion tab now
All that DMCA stuff and people have it wrong. YOU can sing it. YOU can play it. What you can't do is use their recording and REPLAY it. From radio, itunes, cd, etc. How do you think bands get started going to weddings n other things playing someone else's music.
UA-cam... It doesn't matter how cute the chick in the ad is - I use Davinci Resolve, therefore I will NOT buy Filmora9 to edit my junk. Please stop advertising that junk to me.

Casey is a Jedi. Always so well explained.
This is great! after years of AE / Premiere and FCP - I finally discovered Resolve /Fusion - Wow! Thanks.
Always great videos! Love the "Casey Faris Nerd Node" the best!!! Thanks!!!!
I never comment in youtube, but these videos are so, so, so helpful. Thanks for the new skill throughout Quarantine! :)
Thanks Casey, Excellent video!
Can you please drive a bit deeper in the matte controle node? A full video maybe
dude another well done video ... i get a lot out of this .. J
Another great video as usual. Thanks!

Nice! The two nodes I didn't know about or use really often was paint and matte control
Wow you're cranking out the vids!
i love the part where he cracked himself up, erupting in spontaneous laughter at 4:20. See for yourself.
It feels like Deadpool is doing a tutorial 🤣
I just love your tutorials
So long needed video! Thank you so much Casy! I learned how to use five of them so far!
Great video. Thanks.
Great info, and also quite entertaining. You've got a recipe for greatness here brotha, thank you.
Very cool - thank you.
Hey casey, Do you know how you could be even more awesome (not that you aren't already)??? Do a tutorial on depth maps!!! Easy as that
More detailed videos on matt control and other "advanced" stuff that no one in mainstream editing uses please!
THNX for sharing!!

Casey is carrying all of us on his back💀 He's the reason I even know how to use DaVinci Resolve
thank you
hahaha the end 😆😆😆😆
chisus the intro xD 🔝

Hi, Coud you please explain about the Wireless Node ?
Hey Casey, in your videos you got a halo around your mouse cursor. How do you achieve this? Is this a little tool/app you use (which?) or do you track your cursor in Davinci Resolve and apply that halo in post?
yeah u der man and i, der fan
I would love to do a lot of these in the edit tab, if possible
10:38 - Why wouldn't you apply your Polygon to the Mask input of the MatteControl instead of the Foreground input?
The foreground input is where you add a matte or mask to change something else. If you wanted to say, use part of the existing mask, you could limit the effects of the matte control node by connecting a mask to the blue input. Hahah hope that makes sense.

@@sergentboucherie Great. Thank you.
Hmmm - I was thinking this would be a countdown video of top 10 nodes.
Now I still don't know which one is #1.
😜 😁 🤪
How do I make fake blood wound from ActionVFX "stick" to my actor's body when they're moving around?
You know my top 12 nodes? These top 10 and the output node... AND the Casey Faris node! You know? You find it under the 'AWESOME' dropdown menu ^_^
Yeeeeeaaaah
i was masking my text in fusion last night and the outline was not masking with it :(. any idea why
Maybe it's a bug.
Try connecting it to a merge node and making that

"...she just burned down her kitchen." 🤣
🤯🤯🤯
They’re more concerned with you playing Stevie Wonder than you singing his song.
The First Rule of Media Out is we don't talk about Media Out.
It all sounded workable until you got to the Matte Control. Very confusing.
OooOOoOh, so change-y
All that DMCA stuff and people have it wrong.

The suggested playlist in the end has 69 videos lol
I am the 666th person to like this video.
You're welcome.
and no-one ever said "don't laugh at your own jokes"... wierd
hi first.
Still uncleaned the mic holder...
Never!

Fartnoise2 ?
Clickbait. Not much usefull information. For instance no word on what background node is used for except for creating backround etc
