Finding the "Relax and Learn Guitar" channel has made me happier than a gopher in soft dirt. You have lessons for my favorite songs, and have a talent for 'splainin' thing reeel easy like, but most of all your personality makes me feel likin' we's kin!
I've been watching a ton of these kinds of beginner lessons, but the song choice and instruction on this video is the best I've seen by far. Thank bro! I'll be trying these out tomorrow 🤘🤘
Great job Kevin. If I wasn't already a member I would join. You make learning easier and less frustrating, and when it comes to campfire music, you have the market cornered. Thanks so much.
HI Jerry! Thanks so much. We appreciate your membership and we love what we do. You can find all of these songs with the tabs in the member's area too.
I noticed your shirt. My daughter and I love it there. We get the bulk of our vinyl from them. Are you sonewhat local to the area? Do you give paid lessons?
Great record shop! We live in Cincinnati on the east side. Thanks for watching, Sorry, I am not doing in person lessons right now. But I do offer a membership option and you can learn all about that here: relaxandlearnguitar.com/membership-subscribers/
Do you know music theory Kevin ? I just can't seem to get ! And that bothers me ! I have tried to understand for years but can't get ! Is it really necessary to learn !
I think folks need just enough theory to be dangerous. I don’t focus or dwell on it. Here is a sample of what I mean ua-cam.com/video/tRPOAb6vnYE/v-deo.htmlsi=6DzIDmNfQrqARfzX
I tend to agree. Knowing just the basics can help with a lot of things, like knowing what chords to play in an unfamiliar song without using a chart. I would suggest keeping it extremely basic at first if you struggle. Review each fundamental concept over and over before moving on to another. There are 12 notes. “Theory” is only the discussion of how they relate to each other.

The chords for the chorus are D G G D A. And the strum pattern is D UDU D then UD DUDU. How this helps.
Kevin - Thanks for that EASY A, my “3 fat fingers A” all SQUISHED into one fret wasn’t working
Same :)
