This video has the purpose to encourage and make us understand how useful are some items that would help us to enhance our upholstery job to a next level. The tiny gadget I show in the video is a 'raw prototype' that could be improved to get a better outcome.
But, it is not necessary to be 'tinkering or losing time' if all of these items including the special machines to do a 'perfect binding' are ready for sale everywhere.
As we know, 'upholstery binding' is a way of doing a 'finish' along the edge of a floor carpet, trunk, mats, or some other part of the upholstery interior that needs a decorative edge. It also reinforces 'raw edges' to avoid fraying or disassembling of the piece.
Overcasting by using an overlock sewing machine is a practical option for this upholstery trim.
The other regular way of binding is to cover the edge with a narrow 'strip of vinyl/leather/fabric material.
It is advisable to get a special binding/overcasting machine with attachments included to get a more professional job.

Dear Cechaflo i also have the same sewing machine but can't find sewing feet. I order from Amazon but they are not original and do not fit well. Do you have any idea where i could order? Thank you🙂
You could get these items directly from Pfaff but they are very expensive. The presser feet from Amazon are the same. Perhaps, they need some little adjustment (sanding)and no problem.

Yes, it is possible to make different curves. The guiding presser feet in rear paret is of great help, otherwise it would be more difficult to bind with the single binder attachment.

These attachments are ready for sale on internet different and much better designs which can be adapted to different sewing machine trade marks.

I think the best would be to have a special machine devoted to binding procedures. The Pfaff 335 comes with special attachment to do a perfect binding.

Definitely, a servo motor is much better. I will install one at any moment.

Esta es una adaptación que hize. Estos aditamentos ya los venden listos para diferentes tipos de máquinas de coser. Amazon, Ebay, etc.
