I planted some of these this year. I had a lot of seedlings but unfortunately only 3 survived. I don't have any flowers on it yet, hopefully I will get some. I plan on covering the plant when it frosts so that should give it a little extra time to flower. We had a bad monsoon season this year and it killed a lot of my seedlings.

I had a similar problem. My seeds came from a Washington source, but germination was hard. There were 3 that finally succeeded germination in August. They are just maturing to develop flowers now, October 20.

      The Drowning Man
A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”
The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”
      So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”
To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
      So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”
To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”
To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”

@@jenniferli185 Dr. Phil says "pray to God, but row for the shore!"
I don't disagree with what you wrote on a superficial level. (Honestly, the man prayed and didn't act on receiving his prayer, which isn't a reflection on God as you can see).
Spiritually I disagree with you. God is good, however, you cannot spiritually live forever without faith in Jesus, the Man who came to Earth to Save us. Why? He says things that are eternally true, and Hell is real, and He warned us about it. I'm very afraid of going to Hell because I know it's real. I've watched enough NDEs to see a lot of people who think they are going to Heaven and do not! And, many who don't end up in Hell, instead, end up in darkness for eternity, which is like a form of Hell... you will be disconnected from God without Jesus Saving you, plain and simple. I don't care what you say, or anyone says, I already know that is 100% true based on NDEs, I'm just warning you so you can pray to Jesus and get Saved spiritually yourself. You're actually being tested by God. Say this: "Jesus, I know I've messed up in my life, and I know that a perfect God cannot allow me to do that in Heaven, an eternal, perfect place, so, I accept Jesus as my Lord to solve this problem, and I will follow Him from this day forward as evidence of my faith, and I recognize my need for a spiritual Savior based on the circumstances I just mentioned". And then follow Jesus, if not for love then for the reason that you just can't be too sure of something this important. You probably haven't done as much research as I have on the afterlife, but I know things and they are not the lie that "all roads lead to Heaven": it's just not true.
Check out 'The Hidden Code in Genesis 1:1'. It's the only book on Earth that has that math, no other holy texts have math like the Bible does. God bless you.

This is my question, too. I have the 'correct' Latin named Calendula and it has tons of sticky resin, which I have read is what you want. I actually planted 2 different types - Calendula Pacific (MI Gardener) and Calendula Resina (Pinetree) plus had some come up from a flower mix. They're all yellow, none are orange. I got these specifically for herbal use so the 'orange only' thing is throwing me off. @MelissaKNorris
