I generally don't comment on UA-cam videos but I am shocked that with this great and precise content how xom you don't have more subscribers 💘 I loved this video and ended up checking the whole channel and it's really worthy
Thank you so much. I love how you just used normal kitchen stuff, as opposed to a special double boiler or plug-in melting pot thingy. Thank you for making it look so easy!
Plantain tincture on wasp sting is an immediate pain relief I reached for the tincture as soon as wasp stung me on my nose drawing blood it was an immediate relief I had no swelling, redness or itching even with stinger still in my skin forgot I had gotten stung that day
What an awesome video. Very well explained and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and technique with us. I just planted seeds for this this afternoon! I was overjoyed and excited when I saw this as a suggested video. Totally awesome. Thank you so much.❤
Have you ever tried dehydrating the flowers and then grinding them up into a concentrated powder and putting them into the same beeswax mixture as a powder like is done with comfrey leaves?
The Beeswax, Shea butter, or Cocoa butter can be bought on Ebay, and some of the better health stores will stock it as well. the tins can be found on Ebay too.
is there a substitute for wax? i cant find it where i live or online but i want to male this. is there something else i could use as a combining/thickening agent?
Looks promising. Could I use this same process for chamomile salve? Could they be combined? Just learning all this now. And would it add to it to add any essential oils. I'm thinking arnica. I don't care so much about the fragrance as the medicinal value. Thanks.
Fresh flowers can’t bring out there oil, so they release when dried or heated. All flowers do this and it just happens. With more drieness it should smell and have more of the flowers in it.
Not entirely true; for example hypericum perforatum oil should be made with fresh flowers and leaves for them to release the oil and this will eventually make your oil turn red. You may make a beautiful hypericum per. Salve with dried ones too, but fresh flowers, plants herbs vegetables etc always contain very useful particles that will disappear when dried, washed, cooked baked depending on the product used.
What kind of flower did you use and also can I get the extracted oil at the store and finally which other oil can I use to alternate the flower oil ? Thanks

Hi. My oil darkened while infusing crushed calendula flowers. Might be from exposure to air while straining the flowers from the oil. The flowers were free from debris and there is no odor. Can I still use the oil? Thanks.
Update: turns out that the calendula oil lightened when I added the beeswax. It's now a beautiful shimmery gold color through the 1 oz glass jars. Perfect! Yay God and thanks, :J
Makes x7 2oz tins
Recipe:
1oz beeswax
.5oz shea butter
Melt those and add-
8oz infused calendula oil (any light oil)
All done them pour into tins
My mom grew calendula and told me to make this 31 days later and a bunch of dried flowers in oil. :) just made a batch I’m so happy with it 😊

I’ve used this on a wasp sting and it helped with the burning itching sensation!
So glad to hear that!!

I use calendula, self heal and plantain. And use it for cuts to bug bites.
I've heard that plantain is great for many uses! Haven't heard of self heal though, so I'll have to look it up.
Wow didn’t realize how easy it’s to make. Thanks for sharing!
One of the best salve videos.

Those tins are so pretty! Your final product is gorgeous!
I love those tins too. I'll be looking for them myself when I make my own.
Salve looks incredible 🎉❤
I've seen using a seed heating mat helps extract the medicines when making an oil. I use one for my oils. But not my tinctures.
Just found your channel. May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
And the Wiccan Gods too!
Jesus is a prophet. When are you going to get it?

This looks so amazing! I love making balms❤
Great explanation those are adorable.
Just wondering where you got your labels from? I’m in the process of getting ready to make calendula Avenue.
Thank you very much for this information I appreciate it 😊❤️🙏
Excellent video!
What type of calendula wa used? What she butter did use and beeswax? The color looks different and I want to make sure I use an organic one
i always add my shea butter at the end of any formulation simply because it has the tendency to go grainy hope this doesn't happen to you
Hmmmm....I've always pulled and dried just the petals. After watching your video I'm thinking I don't need to do that any more! Thanks for the tip.
can i add essential oils to this. thx for sharing

Hi can i use this for a piercing wound? I pierced my ear and anything i touch it or sleep with it, it irritant. Thank you. Very good video
Beautiful much gratitude ❤️🥰🙏
how long can this last? before it loses its ability to heal?
Years. I used one 2 years later
Have you ever tried dehydrating the flowers and then grinding them up into a concentrated powder and putting them into the same beeswax mixture as a powder like is done with comfrey leaves?
i haven’t tried this but sounds like a great idea!
How do you mix this ? I make a eczema creme but a little bit diffent
Thank you! I appreciate you sharing your skill! Can this method be used with any flower? 🌸💓
Orange, VA! I jump out of airplanes there :) Would you mind sharing the variety you are growing? Love your vibe.
haha cool! the variety is called resina calendula (from baker creek)
good video, if i use mango butter will be same amount?
Thank you nice . 💓❣️🌷
Thank you for the video!
I’ll be making this in a month after my flowers are done soaking in oil. Where do you find the beeswax, shea and tins? Thank you!
The Beeswax, Shea butter, or Cocoa butter can be bought on Ebay, and some of the better health stores will stock it as well. the tins can be found on Ebay too.
Amazing video :)
Can we use castor oil as apart of the base? Will it fuse well with the butters and bees wax?
Castor oil behaves very differently from different oils - it is thick and sticky. So I wouldn't include it, or keep it very minimal (5%)
can u add comfrey root Oregno herb to the mixture
Can I use some of the flowers that that are brown? Some are still healthy
Please can you repeat what kind of calendula you use - you say you put the link below, but there are so many comments I cannot find it.
What oil you use to soak the flowers in?
Sweet almond oil

I have some old calendula flowers from a few years ago. Do you think it’s safe to use?

Yes
Thank you 🙏🏽🧡💛
Thanks
Nice vidoe
Hi, I made the cream but it became too solid for me, how can I make it more creamy? Thanks
Whip it with an electric egg whisk
You can add little bit more oil. But you have to reheat again the previous cream.
Can I use chamomile butter instead of Shea butter.
Very curious 🤨 Why not just submerge FRESH FLOWERS for their extract ❓ Why dry them out first? I want to try, although I have no garden.
Logical question
I do not know the answer for sure, but when I read this my first thought is: maybe the moisture in the flowers make the salve expire faster?
Fresh flowers can’t bring out there oil, so they release when dried or heated. All flowers do this and it just happens. With more drieness it should smell and have more of the flowers in it.
Not entirely true; for example hypericum perforatum oil should be made with fresh flowers and leaves for them to release the oil and this will eventually make your oil turn red. I tried doing that and mould formed on the top - apparently due to the moisture content.
Do u ever put vitamin E oil in your mix
I have not, but I think it would be great in this.
Really appreciate your presentation! Just wondering if you do anything with the flowers that have been infused? Or do you just discard it?
i just discard them. you can try doing a second infusion, but i would also add more flowers and/or infuse longer to get more out of them 🙂
I saw someone mix with, I think salt and put in bath tea bags
What kind of flower did you use and also can I get the extracted oil at the store and finally which other oil can I use to alternate the flower oil ? Thanks
She mentioned everything in the video! I don't think the oil she made is in stores. She mentioned what she used and alternative options.

Does this melt during the summertime? Or does it stay nice and firm?
Where do you buy the jars from?
can you use raw shea butter?
Can you please send me the exact recipe for this salve. I am having trouble with the transcript
Can you re-infuse the dried calendula? Also, can you put the used dried oily into the compost?
i do sometimes infuse again, but always add new flowers as well and make sure to pack them in a little more
Hi, did you say what type of oil that you use to infuse the calendula flowers?
Thank you ❤
Just seen another comment asking the same question and given the answer.😊
sweet almond oil
Hi! I'm new to salve making, is it okay if you do not use preservatives on this? if so, how long will this last?
No preservatives are needed since there is no water in the recipe
Hi can this oil heal open pitted pores on face ??
whats kind oil do you use?
Do you know if I can put this on my dog's skin to keep him from scratching constantly?
I tried to make this but mine didn’t thicken up into the balm texture. Not sure what I did wrong 😔
Hi. My oil darkened while infusing crushed calendula flowers. Might be from exposure to air while straining the flowers from the oil. The flowers were free from debris and there is no odor. Can I still use the oil? Thanks.
If your flowers are completely dry then its ok. She explained in the video.
Update: turns out that the calendula oil lightened when I added the beeswax. It's now a beautiful shimmery gold color through the 1 oz glass jars. Perfect! Yay God and thanks, :J
Will infusing fresh flowers result in a less potent salve?
No, it will add water to your infusion and the oil can go rancid quicker
What oil did you use to infuse?
How do you prevent the flowers and oil from spoiling while it is being infused?
If the flowers are dried of all moisture. It won't spoil. Only if water is introduced to oil.
I want to buy please tell me can l get it
What is the shelf life, please?
Unable to click on link to order this salve. Will you please post on here? TYIA.

I’ve used it very successfully on hot spots on dogs
Ask the vet to be safe
You can compost the used flowers
I just made this and the beeswax is clumping up in the oil as it cools. How do you fix this?
Strain and heat them both and then blend then together fast.
