    IMO the most interesting thing about this GPU is that Samsung 8nm wasn't even particularily efficient. If Nvidia made a Lovelace based 75W GPU it would probably easily add 50-90% of performance

    I have a rtx a2000 as well. Great little card. Have had mine since September 2022.
    If you have not all ready done it. I strongly recommend you try to overclock the rtx a2000 with example msi afterburner as 8 know working with it. I have gotten some nice gains with overclock on my rtx a2000. Gpu core clock is set to 260+, but I can't remember what I have set memory to. But try it out and you could maybe make video out of to. I don't need a video throw as I have my oc dailed in. But new owners of a rtx a2000, a video I think could come in handy.

    Had a Quadro 2000 with the GF106 from GTS450. You can call it the spiritual successor of A2000.
    At first, I was really impressed by its efficiency and temperatures. By then one day I checked its voltages and realized that it ran at 850mV at idle and peaked at around 875mV under load. Meanwhile, a standard GTS450 also idles at 850mV but peaks at around 1,080mV.
    So, it was essentially just a heavily undervolted GTS450... at least from a gamer's perspective. I think the same can be said about this A2000. It's a slightly cutdown RTX3060 with a massive undervolt!

      Thanks for sharing 👍 I love old power munching GPU's, but the way the A2000 delivers impressive FPS and does it without external power, just wow 🙂

    I am considering purchasing the 12gh variant to use in a Dell low profile desktop. I don't have any cards that will do ray tracing so this card would suit that need also. Thank you for the informative video.

    I picked up a 6GB version to put in an upgraded Dell OptiPlex 7010 SFF (16GB/500GB). Spendy, but what an amazing card for gaming, and perfect for a SFF build. In addition to all the benefits you cited it is also dead silent.

    I have an hp office pc as my work/gaming station right now, so i might have to pick me up one of these! The 6gb version is only $299 so I'd call that a real steal for the performance when you can just pop it in an old pc and it'll work. (edit) My pc has a 310w psu, so yes, it should be fine for this GPU. Its not that old.

    I was gonna do a build and this card is probably best suited for it. I hear people say that they find these cards for $200 but never say where but everywhere I've searched they are about $250 used on the lower price end. I'd love to see the difference between the 6&12 gb version performance wise.

    I bought this card off a crypto-miner for 191GBP. It supposedly had been mined for 6 months prior to my purchase and it's working wonderfully. It's as if it were new. I don't like the fact that in small form factor builds temperatures at maximum can get up to 82-83C but if I put it in a normal midi-tower temperatures are around acceptable 78C. It's a great card, I just wish the cooling solutions were better for smaller PC cases.

    • @Friddle
      @Friddle 10 місяців тому

      I’m using an rtx 1650 in a sff pc. Similar issues with cooling. The hp case I’m using is quite awful. I’ve got some simple DIY usb fans on one end. This has brought the gpu temps from 86C thermal throttling to 82C.
      I’m tempted to cut a few wholes in the case above the cpu and gpu for improved airflow

    I'll be getting this card or the rtx 2000 ada/A4000 for my work computer, along with Ryzen 9 cpu, 128gb ecc ram, i don't do games but I mostly just find this card being compared for games or render benchmarks so it's hard to decide if it will work for me. Im mostly using it for Adobe suite, and because it has ecc vram, as my main software uses mostly cpu.

    Does it render higher quality image than RTX? From video colours and effects looks better, more subtle, more like my Apple MBA M2. Thing I don't love about GF (I've got Gtx460 looking to upgrade) is fan noise and all that heat and cables. But I also don't like quality of the image on GF. M2 renders much better color gradation. It's it also true with A2000?

    Seriously?!?!? A bunch of gaming benchmarks on a productivity GPU? 0.1% of gamers are interested in buying a Quadro, the other 99.9% who would actually purchase the card are starved for real world results in 3D, CAD and video editing apps. Sorry to be negative, but at the very least a comparison to equivalent Geforce cards in Resolve and Premiere would've been interesting.
